Brought in our 2021 Honda Odyssey Touring, that we've owned since new, for a routine oil change. The service was completed, or so I hope. Two weeks later I went to replace the cabin and engine air filters and noticed that the coolant was an inch below minimum. I checked the "routine service inspection" sheet and it was marked as "good". There was literally probably 5 ounces in the reservoir. This is, in fact, not good. Now I question if the entire inspection and service was a sham. To put the icing on the cake, they even tried to give me a cash offer on our vehicle by phone as I pulled out of the dealership. Least expected to write this review as during the sales process everything was perfectly fine but afterwards is where my problems began. I purchased a 2019 Mercedes CLS53 AMG, when I saw the vehicle I asked if i could get a PPI (pre purchase inspection ) they denied it & assured me the vehicle has been through a rigorous 135 point inspection & sold it to me with a 90 day limited warranty. Since purchasing on August 27th almost 2 months ago the vehicle has been in the shop for over a month, from a coolant leak from a failed heater pipe to a turbo line leaking oil to now the oil leaking from deep within engine block from the high pressure fuel pump. (*update from when I first wrote this in my notes: Cam position sensor also leaking oil) The vehicle has over 35 hours & counting of in-shop service repairs. At the time of this review I still do not have my vehicle. Along with the vehicle being in absolute terrible mechanical shape, I paid cash for this car Aug 27th 2024 & now on Oct. 22nd still have not received the title (*update Received on 10/29/24)I reached out to my salesperson Josh multiple times to which he said he would check for me & now stopped responding to me all together. I called last Tuesday (10/15) spoke with Kevin the used car manager who said he would both check on status of my title & see if he can speak with his higher ups on if they can help me in anyway for the over $8,000 in repairs my car has succumbed to, which again is absolutely abysmal on a 2019 with only 54k miles. Kevin did not call me back on 10/15 as he said he would to update me on status of my title nor did he reach back out by that Friday 10/18 where he said he would have word from some of the higher ups on what they can do to alleviate this horrible situation. I instead called Kevin myself 10/21 hoping he would have an answer for both things but he just transferred me to someone's voicemail. I ended up speaking with someone eventually on status of my title & though it's absolutely ridiculous to have to wait 2 months for a title, Im happy someone gave me some sort of update. Now, autonation is a huge company & I was happy with their professionalism during the purchase process, however true colors always shine after the fact & that is exactly what is happening here. Usually it is the smaller lower end dealerships you have these problems with but unfortunately I and a ton of other people from these reviews have also dealt with super rough vehicles that Im not entirely sure how they get mechanically approved. I have all receipts from the repairs, little over 9 weeks of ownership & I have had the car for a total of maybe 2 weeks. Over $8,000 in repairs, was given 90 day warranty from auto-nation which of course does not cover all repairs, I have personally paid over $3,000 of the repairs from my pocket, along with towing costs when the vehicle broke down. Im sure there will be a generic comment asking me to call a GM. I did not want to write this review but their actions here have left me no choice at all. read more

I must say that I have had one of the worst experiences with this dealership. I referred 3 car buyers to this dealership in December, 2023, and was told by the salesperson (by the name Jennifer) that I would receive a $500 referral fee, which was never paid to me. During my many follow-ups with Jennifer, all I heard was that she would follow up and get back to me, but I just heard nothing back from her. During my last text message to her, she simply told me not to contact her anymore. I then contacted the general manager (by the name Chase) and he told me that there would be a check cut from the corporate which was just an empty promise that never came to fruition. So, in a word, I was lied to about the $500 referral payment. This dealership only cares about getting referrals and making their sales, while having no concern whatsoever about treating people right. My referrals helped them make three car sales, but I was then treated with neglect and rudeness after all the sales were completed. What happened to their business ethics? Clearly, it does not exist. I would caution anyone who is even thinking about buying a car from this place to think twice, unless you want to deal with unethical and dishonest people. To say I was highly disappointed with this dealership would be an understatement. We brought our vehicle in for service and received a $160 charge and paperwork stating all they did was scan for codes. I called and spoke with the service manager to try to find out what occurred and he informed me, "We can charge for scanning codes and providing an estimate without performing a diagnostic procedure." This place is absolutely the worst. Overcharge for labor. Oil pressure switch with an o ring cost me $330. When I got home and Google it, the parts are $30 on the high end and after watching YouTube saw that to replace my part takes 5 min with a ratchet. Having spent a few months shopping the local area for an inexpensive, reliable, low-mileage vehicle for my son to purchase (with my help), I had many different interactions. During this search, I was told that my expectations were unrealistic and to just settle on a car. I was showed hundreds of vehicles that were "just above my price range". I even experienced a situation of a "classic bait and switch". Needless to say, I was about to the point of realizing that "none" of the local dealerships could be trusted or with whom I wanted to deal. Then came along Sarah Herard and the Autonation Honda team. Sarah was very straight with me and showed me vehicles that were "IN" my price range. She assured me that every quote she gave me was her best. It was easy to realize this after the amount of research that I had already done. Their prices truly were the best. The VW Jetta was beautiful. It was exactly how she described and my son was super excited. I told him to control his emotions because we were entering into the most difficult part of buying a car, the negotiating. After the test drive we came back to meet Sarah with the price sheets. To my surprise, they were exactly what we discussed and absolutely in my price range. Do not get your car repaired here. They told me I needed 4 brand new tires after waiting 3 hours and come to find out it was a tire sensor. I drove all the way from Peachtree City with 2 kids. I've been here multiple times and my issue was never resolved and had to go to another tire shop to get the truth. If you're any other race than caucasian do not go here. Even with an appointment, they will have you wait hours and still make up lies of what could be wrong to only have issues again and have to come right back. read more

My car (a 2019 Honda Accord Sport with less than 24,000 miles on it) was wrecked during servicing on 12/03/22 by a AutoNation Honda of Columbus employee. The service manager told me the car fell off of a lift and hit a brick wall.They moved the car without allowing me to see it at the scene of the accident (tampering with evidence; 3rd degree felony). They did not report the accident to the police. I've asked multiple times now for a copy of their internal incident report and have not received a response (concealing evidence; 3rd degree felony). I filed a police report on the night of the wreck. I received a message on 12/12/22 asking me to reach out to the GM to resolve all of my many concerns around this. I called and didn't get an answer. I left a message and my call has not been returned as of today 12/15/22. read more

Honda of Columbus failed once again. One might think that a new 2020 Honda Civic with 5,000 miles would hold together and if it didn't that they would make things right. Well it doesn't appear so. With just under 5,000 miles the rear suspension started making a clunking noise when stopping & when starting to move. An Appointment was made by my daughter and when they looked at it, they noticed a bushing had come loose from the rear control arm. Of course with this bushing gone any driving was sure to damage the control arm itself. Honda of Columbus says this isn't cover under warranty. So what is covered. Its definitely not normal wear and tear for a bushing to come loose. I will think long and hard before purchasing another Honda and very long before purchasing anything from the Columbus AutoNation group. John Greer read more

Do not go to north parkway Honda service Department. They will try to rip you off. Even with a warranty they will tell you it isn't covered but they can fix it for $$$$. We were advised the air conditioner repair was voided because a service was done on the car in 2019 where the bumper was removed during said service. The car was purchased new in 2020. They diagnosed the car by looking at the computer in the office at previous services. The manager is rude and not willing to help. The worse customer service. This was my first experience at a "real" dealership, instead of one of those little lots you see on the side of the road with used cars. The aspect I was most impressed with here, was my salesperson, Jennifer Chester. She was kind, helpful and not pushy at all. She helped me in so many ways and I am thankful she was the person I went into this process with. The overall dealership seemed unorganized and tight on staff. Of course I know that buying a car takes ample amount of time, but I spent +6 hours there on two different days, that is not including the other couple days where I sat there for three hours each time. There were multiple times I was skipped over while waiting to be seen when I had arrived first. I expected to spend several hours there in ONE day, not multiple days back to back. I will say that I liked their variety of cars to choose from. I drove a few different models before finding the car that was right for me and I drove away feeling happy with my new ride after trading in me old set of wheels. Overall I would say make sure you have time before going in here and be prepared (bring snacks and a drink) Everyone was friendly and did their best to help me and find a suitable car for me. But above all else, make sure you ask for JENNIFER CHESTER. You will not be disappointed with her service. read more

I found my perfect car online GREAT price! I called Michael C. and spoke about the car and made an appointment to meet him that afternoon. When I get to the dealership they had sold the car and Mike was already working with another customer. He did get me another salesman right off but the whole process took way too long. I arrived at 1;30pm and We didn't get to leave until 6:30pm due to there was not anyone in the business office to process the paperwork. Not a good way to do business guys. Went in for an oil change after calling to make the appointment. While everyone was nice and friendly, I was pretty pissed off when there were extra things added on and That they did not mention were an additional cost. We were told over the phone that the oil change was about $50. That's all we needed. Then we get there and we're told by Alexis that they were putting an "oil conditioning" filler in along with our oil change and tire rotation, leading us to believe the rotation and "conditioner" was free. We didn't ask for the rotation or the filler. When the car was ready almost 2 hours later, she said we owed $100 or so. Naturally we were pissed. We didn't expect to pay double what we were told. She took the rotation off our bill so we only ended up paying $80. Please quote your customers the exact amount and don't lead them to believe you're offering complimentary services when you aren't. Other times I've had my oil changes at other places, my tire rotation was free. I'll stick to Take5 or literally anywhere else. read more

The manager and GM are both lairs. After going back and fourth since March with the same issue with my car the GM agreed to meet with me (After being very nasty and rude on the phone with me) The service manger arranged a ride for me to come meet with them but was very hesitant because he didn't know what the meeting was about. After having the ride arranged he canceled it and said I couldn't get a ride, after still arriving for the meeting the service manager said I couldn't meet with GM because "his son caught Covid." This was never said to me by the GM. During the meeting with the service manager he said while I was speaking "if you could be quiet for 2 seconds" in disbelief I let my husband talk. We requested a zoomed meeting with the GM the manager hesitated and came up with an excuse as to why the zoom meeting couldn't happen. After no resolution I left leaving my car there. I was called at 8am the next morning and was left a voicemail by the service manager that they can no longer work on my car and I would have to pick it up by the close of business the same day. I've never in my life been treated so bad after trying to give autonation the benefit of the doubt. Now with no car I don't know what my next step will be. read more

Buyer Beware! We were told that they perform a 125 point inspection on all their used vehicles. Two days after son buys his car from Autonation he discovers that the thermostat needs to be replaced. Common sense would make you think that a thermostat would be part of their inspection but they refuse to fix it. At time of sale was told they'd replace the tires and fix the sensor. Yes we got the tires but they refuse to fix the sensor. i paid you and the tires were part of our agreement. Do not act like you've done us a favor. The manager and general manager were the ones that made these decisions to not fix the issues. Will never buy from this Dealership again. You should consider going somewhere else as well. read more

I recently bought a new 2017 Honda Ridgeline at Autonation Honda Columbus. I brought it back a couple weeks later for some minor cosmetic fixes that were noted during the sale. Nakia in the service department assisted me and she was great! She made certain that all my questions were answered and no matter how small the request was, she took care of it. When I pay that much for a vehicle, I expect it to be right. Nakia also brought the paperwork and my key fob to me where I was sitting. It wasn't like other service departments that call you up to the desk when your vehicle is ready. But then I was getting warranty work done and only had to sign. I had a very disappointing experience with this dealer. My wife received a coupon for a free tire rotation with oil change. She was never informed that 1) it did not include tire balancing and/or 2) that tire balancing is usually required following a tire rotation. We had to bring the vehicle back the following week due to violent vibrations and had to pay $50.00 for a tire balance. I spoke to the Service Manager, Scott Griffin, and told him I thought it was deceitful/unethical they did not inform my wife beforehand she would likely be required to pay for a tire balancing following the tire rotation. I told him this was akin to a hidden fee or "bait and switch." I was informed by Service Manager they were not required to provide their customers with all relevant information prior to service maintenance. Service Manager also said it was a "common" practice to provide the "free" tire rotations without informing customers this would usually require them to pay for a follow on service. I believe that a "common" business practice does not equate to an "ethical" business practice. I will not be returning to this dealer for any type of work. Untrustworthy and unethical. read more
