This business is a perfect example of why the automotive business has a bad reputation. I'm a veteran of the Marine Corps and pride myself on being honest and transparent. After agreed upon numbers, the owner Steve attempted to pilfer an additional $1500 from me based on what he said "books changing values". His company showed to be unreliable and offensive. When I did not feel comfortable continuing to do business with them, Steve called and threatened me with legal action even though they did not come close to completing their obligation. Steve also threatened to attack me on social media and review sites, which he has now done and I have submitted to be taken down. Steve also lied about contacting a government agency in Wyoming that after research, doesn't exist. Initially I felt a little bad for backing out of the deal because of the negativity and unprofessionalism that was happening. But honestly, now I'm so glad that I did after witnessing Steve's behavior in response. Instead of an apology which would have been appropriate, I received hostility and threats over the phone and online from a man who attacks people that he knows he will never have to see in person. He also helped me research the car I was moving to even though that was a private sale and he made nothing on that. Based on our interactions I would recommend Donnie as a straight forward no nonsense type who will get you the car you are looking for at the right price. If you are the type of person who doesn't want to spend the whole day sitting at a dealer while they go through the usual tactics to confuse you and wear you down I would recommend car brokers in general as they can save you a lot of time and often get a better price. Called rep and never received call backs and talked to secretary and gave call back info as well as sent multiple emails and was basically ignored. My wife and I had a terrible experience with this place yesterday. The car we bought is fantastic (incredibly well maintained by the previous owner), but my wife and I left feeling terrible about the purchase. If there was any way to avoid doing business with these guys, I would recommend looking elsewhere. The guy we worked with is a typical car salesperson. If I give them the benefit of the doubt, it was an off day for him. If I look at it logically, he was quite dishonest and ripped me off. 1. The company misrepresented the model of the car (no problem, I caught it right away when I looked at it). They said it was a gas-saving 2 liter, but it was a 2.3 sport version (which is not as good on gas). Small issue to me and no big deal. 2. I was told it had never been in an accident; however, I did a VIN check and sure enough... an minor accident was reported on the report. Was it a mistake? I'm not really sure. When we talked to him about it, he said, "yeah, but the owner said there was no damage to the car". He definitely could have overlooked it on the VIN check, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt again. 3. Despite all that, I decided the car was still a great value, I gave the salesperson a deposit and asked for a receipt. He said, "what should I write down... I never do these". (You never give receipts for a deposit? Seems a little odd for a car dealer, but okay.) 4. The day we went to pick up the car, (which was the day AFTER putting a deposit down), I was told they have dealer handling fees. He had every opportunity to tell me that there were D&H fees, but failed to do so. When I questioned it, he said, "yeah, I should have probably mentioned that. Sorry about that, it was a long day." 5. We really liked the car, so I asked him how much the fees were: $399 + $89 doc fee. I about fell over... that's much higher than most dealers in our area charge. I told him that I wasn't real happy and he said, "don't worry, that's just a small fee compared to the cost of a car". Really?... $500 may not be a lot to some people, but it's a lot to me! 6. I was clearly upset and asked him if he thought it was right that to take my deposit AND THEN inform me of huge D&H fees. I was then told that it's required by law to charge $399 dealer & handling fees and that there's nothing he can do about it. First, they are NOT required to charge this fee. However, IF they charge a D&H fee (which most do), they have to charge a consistent fee to everyone and that fee cannot vary. Second, they certainly don't have to charge any set amount. I can't bring myself to give him the benefit of the doubt here, and believe me, I've tried. This was just a flat out lie. 7. (Although I know he was lying) I asked him to reduce the price of the car by $200 so that he could still charge me the full D&H fee, but I wouldn't have to pay $500 more than we had agreed on. Of course, he said he would check with the manager/owner. He called me back and said that there were 3 other people who wanted the car, so they were not going to lower the price... even though they "accidentally" duped me. What makes this even worse, is that, when he took my deposit, he said he wasn't going to show the car anymore. I was the first person to look at it and was coming back the next morning with my cash to purchase the car. I would assume he would keep showing the car until I actually purchased it, but he's the one that said he wouldn't show it anymore. He lied again. Then he used it against me to tell me that there were several others wanting to buy the car and he wasn't even willing to split the difference of accidentally forgetting to tell me about the largest D&H fee I'm ever going to pay. After the transaction was done, my wife and I were both in bad moods and felt like we had been punched in the gut. I don't like supporting guys like this and wish so badly that I could have purchased this same exact car somewhere else. read more

Short story... Used car salesman. I tried TrueCar sell your car where you post your car and if dealerships are interested, the send you a written offer. USA Autosearch offered me 30,500 for my 2014 Toyota 4runner. Got to the office and they acted like they didnt know I was coming. Finally the owner Steve came down, and said the offer was not valid they we sorry. Mean while 5 mins prior they went out and strolled around my vehicle. They are liars and cheats. I took the car for a pre-purchase inspection and even the mechanics couldn't stop complaining about AutoSearch USA. By the end of the inspection, I knew I couldn't buy from these jerks. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Avoid this company!!! Weeks after buying the car I went to get my permanent plates and register the car, but the Clerk and Recorder hadn't received the paperwork. I called Autosearch and they said that I needed to release some document from USAA so they could file with the Clerk and Recorder. They claimed they left me a message, but I don't recall getting a call from them and I think it's strange they didn't follow up since it had been ~5 weeks. I would expect them to provide this type of customer service since I didn't even know they needed something. I have since then called a few times trying to figure out the status and the sales rep - Donnie (who said he would be available for everything) kept saying the right things, but not following through. The last time I called he blew up at me and said he won't put up with me calling him repeatedly. My temporary plates expire in a week and I still have not received confirmation that I can register the car. If I could give less than one star I would. read more
