No! Stop!! Don't!! Current management works to rip you off. I paid to have them replace a wheel bearing. I began hearing a noise some time thereafter coming from that same wheel. I brought it by and took mechanic for a drive so he could hear it. He said it was the bearing and to drop it off when I could and he would take care of it. When I brought it back he actually wanted me to pay him for the repair. Less than 1300 miles, over a couple of months and he's saying the part is defective. HE IS THE ONE WHO BOUGHT AND INSTALLED THE PART!! Now I have to take my car to another shop, pay about $600 for the repair and then sue these thieves in order to get my money back. I am so impressed with this place!!! I received a coupon via ValPak, so I decided to give them a try and they absolutely exceeded my expectations!!! The staff was super friendly, explaining everything first and incredibly helpful, taking the time to answer all of my questions. Their prices are low & very reasonable. They didn't try to sell me a bunch of stuff or tell me I needed all sorts of expensive maintenance, they actually told me about coupons for discounted rates. And I was in and out for an oil change in 30 minutes, Super quick! It's not the prettiest building or even flashy, but I would recommend this place a hundred times over to all my friends & family. I had an appointment for an oil change. I had a coupon for the oil change. The coupon is for an oil change at 24.95. Of course my car takes synthetic, which costs more even after the coupon. Not remembering how much it cost and remembering that the last time it was more than expected, I asked for a price quote when I got there so I knew which card to use for payment. Some cards had more funds than others. And, even though I have been going here for years, I have never made it a point to remember the exact cost. It's just one of those things that pops up when it's time to get it done. Also, one time I had gone there maybe a year or two ago, I remembered being quoted one price and then later finding it was another. Either way, I just wanted to know which card to use so I wanted an exact price quote after tax and all. Making sure there was enough on the card I use. That's all. The guy helping me says, "I can get you that quote because I know you want to price check". I tried to explain I just needed to know how much it was so I knew which card to use. I had set up the appointment to get my oil change done there for a reason. Because I had gone there for years... He became almost dismissive of this acting as if I'm looking for a cheaper price. But...ok....I guess it's inappropriate to ask a business how much something costs? The guy helping me is the owner's son. He had helped me a couple times before, and of the owner's two sons, he is the least friendly. He has been been rude to me each time he has helped me. Of everyone who works the counter, he has always given me an attitude or otherwise been rude to me. At any rate, I did not come alone and was having conversations with more than him. Talking to who I was with, I mention that I had hoped the owner had been there. He knows us and is always super awesome. He is why we keep going back there. Very nice gentleman with an excellent business demeanor. We also had planned to get lunch. When we were told me it will be about 45 minutes I asked to use the bathroom and then my friend was in the waiting area so I asked him if he still wants to get lunch figuring it would be enough time to get something to eat and as we were leaving I mentioned to him that the shop looked empty and I hoped they wouldn't finish to fast because I had never seen them that empty. I said to him "I hope they don't finish to fast because they're probably gonna start working on the car immediately. And then we left. Just as we were outside in the parking lot walking away, heading to get some lunch, the guy working there comes outside and approaches me. He says "if you want to go somewhere else go there. You don't have to be rude. I heard what you said. You got a problem with our price go find somewhere cheaper!" I tried to explain to him I had no problem with the price and just needed the quote so I knew which card to use. He interrupts me and says, "you are being passive aggressive. You've been coming here for years! You know the price! I heard you complaining about how long it will take. What? You think we can do it in 15 minutes?" I tried to explain to him that the only reason the subject of how long it would take was being discussed is because we were going to get lunch. If anything, I would have been cool if it took longer than 45 minutes. More time to eat. But he wouldn't let me speak. Every time I opened my mouth to say something he began to yell over me and refused to listen. Even, a few times, suggesting he would just refuse to help me or seeming to demand that if I am unhappy I can take my business elsewhere. He even, several times, told me "I don't want to hear it" and "I don't care what you have to say" without ever allowing me to explain how wrong his interpretations of what was said were. It was as if he had created an entire scenario where I was some jerk whining about the price and time and he simply would not let me speak to the contrary because he was wrong. First of all, he was eavesdropping on my conversation. Unprofessional, but ok. Then he misinterprets everything he hears as if it was an attack on him or his father's business and takes it out on me. Again, unprofessional and now bordering on abusive. The man was yelling at me and would not let me speak. This went on for so long that by the time it was over I was shaking at how upset it made me. You don't treat customers that way. Especially long time customers. Especially when businesses are hurting. Not if you want to stay in business. You got a problem you put that aside and treat customers with respect and friendliness. The gentleman seems unable to do this. When he has helped me in the past he hasn't been anything but rude, condescending, dismissive, argumentative, bombastic, and/or unprofessional. Today being the most outrageous. The owner arrived and did apologize. But, after how I was treated, it's a pass on being treated that way again. read more

Got an oil change at this place and the mechanic was too lazy or didn't have the right tools to to remove the oil pan properly. So he triggered the O2 sensors along with the check engine light. He gave the car back to me saying I need to replace the O2 sensors and see what was going on with the check engine light. The car was brought in with no O2 sensors or check engine light triggered and now it was given back to me FAULTY. My car was actually leaking oil as I was driving. So not only did they do a horrible job changing my oil but they tried to make me PAY FOR THEIR OWN MISTAKES by telling me to let them "check out what was wrong." Terrible service not a reliable place to go! I took my truck to Autotek for a bid on repairs, told them I heard what I believed to be a bearing noise coming from front wheel. I had a conversation with the front counter explaining the truck has close to 300,000 miles on it and depending on the work that they thought it needed would determine if it would be worth it or not. George the owner said it needed $800 in work, we decided if that was all it needed we would have them do the repair. Well long story short, it took them many days. Finally called to say it was great and ready to be picked up. We got there waited for an hour the tech that was test driving it pulled up with our truck , got out and said it wasn't safe to drive! They said they needed to keep it and check it out some more. When they called they said George the owner miss diagnosed our truck and it would be $2000 more to fix. They never fixed it we had to have it TOWED out of there. The truck ran good the day we drove it in and according to them and the bid just needed a little maintenance. They returned it to us really messed up and unable to drive. We no longer trust George he needs to retire he just isn't on it anymore and really messed up on this. He treated us terribly, we were long time customer but not anymore. A couple of their guys are amazing, but with George making the decisions it's just not worth the chance taking your vehicle to AutoTek . read more

I took my Acura Integra here to get my spark plugs replaced. After the repair was done, I drove my car off and it was running rough and hesitating. I thought it was suspicious that my car was idling rough and hesitating after new spark plugs were put in? Since I was already out and about, I decided to take my car to the nearby Autozone before heading to a friend's party. I purchased new spark plugs from the store and had one of the parts guy install them for me in parking lot. I gave him a tip for his work. When he took out the spark plugs that were just replaced by the shop he said that they messed up on the gapping of the spark plugs. I drove off the lot and the car was running smoothly after that. Problem solved! The spark plugs had the wrong gap causing my engine to run rough and hesitate. I went back to the shop later and complained that they messed up on replacing my plugs. The manager gave me a rude attitude about it and I just walked off. I think I did get a refund back. This happened a few several years ago, but I just never yelped about it. I think the reason why people chose to come here is because of the cheap Valpak coupon in the mail. That's what lured me here in the first place. read more

I have been taking my car and SUV to this place since 2006. George and Ari provide great customer service. They have performed all the needed work or maintenance on my vehicles satisfactorily. Prices are competitive (if you shop around). RE: tires. Tire prices are comparable to the neighborhood-area businesses. On the plus side, if you purchase your tires at Autotek, they'll provide free tire rotation every 5k miles for the life to those tires. That'll save you $14--15 per service. First of all, read Edward H's review. If a person takes their car to these guys for 6 years only to downgrade the rating by 2 stars after that, that's telling. I think he's generous that he's still willing to give them 3 stars. I don't think they deserve any, especially since Yelp colors them gold. I went to them because my car failed the emission test and they're one of the authorized emission specialists. They had 4* rating and their location was good for me that day. Here's what happened: I called, mentioned the failure code, and was put on hold by George while he looked up how much that code was going to set me back. Someone else picked up (Ari, I think) and explained 5 times that it would be at least $150 though if a part needed to be replaced (based on the code), it'd just be slightly more than that. Before I left, I called and George picked up. Though he said that I hung up on him, I told him what happened. He told me this time it'll cost me $191.08 out the door. Though that sounded a tad higher than previous time, I said OK and showed up. I was also told it'll be done in an hour. So I dropped the car off, gave my phone number and walked to the library to wait it out. I came back after 90 minutes and was told that the part wasn't delivered and it was taking longer. So I waited a few and went to ask when it was close to 2 hours since drop off time. "The part JUST got here, we'll put it in right now! Just 20-25 more minutes". Hmm K. After 20 minutes, I got called and told they had ordered the wrong part! And the "correct" part was to be $50 more expensive though it was their fault. I told George that it was not cool to have me wait longer and pay more, but at this point I just wanted to be done so I said OK. BTDub, there were 2 other customers there that were waiting for a long time and one was clearly as unhappy as I about it. They did change it and while handing me the bill, George patronizingly said that the same part at the dealership would cost $375 for which he was charging ~$160. I got the part package to check. My out the door cost - $241 due to his "honest mistake". Total time spent - 3 hours! I came home and checked the price of part - it's available on Amazon for $101 Prime shipping! $97 for slower shipping. So let's summarize, shall we? Inconsistent phone estimates - Check Rude'ish phone manners - Check Can't get the time right - Check Can't get the parts right - Check No consideration for their own mistake - Check Take customer's time for granted - Check Be patronizing and tell the customer what a favor this goshawful service is - Check! See, you could do much worse if you were honestly trying to ruin your day! George said they'll make up for it "next time". Yeah right! Next time - more like next life buddy! I've been here many times to get my oil changed and got my AC fixed and they've been great. They've been on time, responsible, and professional. But now I have to lower my rating to a 1 star because of their disappointing customer service and lack of communication today. We dropped off my boyfriends car this morning at 8, because they had scheduled an appointment at that time for him to get his AC fixed. After dropping it off, they explained the procedure, said one of the guys wasn't going to be in until 8:30, said it will be about 1.5-2 hrs after that, and they'd call us. It was fine, we were willing to wait since we had things to do anyways. We called them at around 11:30am, because at that point, I was already 3.5 hrs since we dropped off the car, and guess what. THEY DIDN'T EVEN START WORKING ON OUR CAR YET. We were their first customer of the day, because when we got to the place, the doors weren't even open yet. I'm disappointed because they didn't even notify us, letting us know there was going to be a delay. Had we had known, it probably would have been okay, we could have waited. They said that they would start on the car, and it would be ready by 2pm - WHICH IS 6 HOURS AFTER OUR APPOINTMENT TIME. What's the point of even scheduling us at 8am, telling us it's only gonna be a couple hours, then expecting us to wait 6 hours for the car? When we got off the phone with them, we realized that they didn't even apologize for having us wait. 2 minutes later, we called back, disappointed, telling them that were gonna come pick up the car since we needed it for the rest of the day. They said okay, and STILL no apology for the inconvenience. When we came to pick up the keys, the guy at the front just looked at us, gave us the key, and didn't say a thing. Not even a "I'm sorry for the inconvenience". They have had great service in the past, but unfortunately, we will be taking our business elsewhere. read more

My wife blew a tire on one side of her car and had a screw in the tire on the other side. I ordered two new tires from Tire Rack. They were delivered in two days to our house. The next day, I put the new tires and her rims into my car. My plan was to stop into the national tire shop, the one with the big yellow signs) down the road from my son's driving class. I was shocked that they wouldn't do it, claiming some bogus liability if they blew the new tires. One: if they're worried about blowing new tires, that tells me more about their lack of expertise on tires. Two: they want to sell me their brand of tires. I said thanks but no thanks and drove down the road where I spotted AutoTek. Their old shop front wasn't much, but walking in the door and talking to Ari, he quoted me a very good price to install my tires. Their guys carried my rims and tires from my vehicle into their shop and began working right away. With time on paperwork and payment, my visit was a total of 15-20 minutes for the job, and that's counting the time from initial contact with Ari. I left their shop with brand new tires installed on my wife's rims. Job was done fast, and even though it was the end of their day, they were nice and friendly about the whole process. They could have as easily said I should come back tomorrow or make an appointment, but they didn't. read more

A very fair place that does good work. I was in a wreck, and despite repeated trips to the place my insurance company sent me to, my truck continued to run terribly. I used Autotek for almost 20 years and I will never let anyone I know go there ever again. Over the last 7 years the service there has been increasingly terrible and I just cannot have another thing messed up on any of the cars that I take there or have sent there. It started with them putting on wheel lug nuts so tight that i can break them loose while jumping on a 3 foot breaker bar while weighing 350lbs. This happened on 11 different vehicles so it is not just an honest mistake. I have waited hours for a simple oil change to be done and I never complained but this year they have made two mistakes that absolutely made me furious. First off was my oil change that ended up with me at home with a smoking engine bay because they forgot to put the oil cap back on and the whole engine bay was covered with oil. I am very lucky that I do not live far and my engine didn't seize up. George did send someone to my house to add oil and clean up the oil which was done so poorly that I just laughed when I saw how much oil was left. On top of the bad cleaning job his tech also over filled the oil which forced me to take my car somewhere else to get the oil drained and filled to the proper level. They have dented my car in the past but it was on a part of the car that was being replaced anyway so I didn't get too mad but this time they crushed the pinch weld on the driver side of the car. I got under that car last week to do some work on the car and saw the big area that is now flattened and I was beyond mad and that really was the last straw. I will never go there ever again for anything and I will tell everyone that I sent there to never go back no matter what. They are unprofessional and leave oily paper in your car after an oil change. Their labor charge is almost as high as famous high end performance shops which is insane when you consider they cannot even change oil properly or install new tires on brand new wheels without scratching them. One of the people there cannot even explain the difference in oil weights which is scary for someone that works at a repair shop. It is sad that this place has fallen so hard and continue to put out sub par work while making huge mistakes and not taking care of their loyal customers. I started buying tires there when I was a teenager and now I am in my 30's and I hope they can clean things up and start being more professional about their work. read more

They worked really fast ( less then 30 mins) to give me two new tires. They are priced very well and the men there are really nice. I have been to Autotek many times and referred many friends and family to them for repair-work. Autotek is a great place to have repairs made on your car - with a few exceptions. I have a background in car maintenance and repair, so I know a fair amount about cars and their systems. For common maintenance issues (fluid changes, wheels/tires/brakes, batteries, alternators/generators, starters, A/C pumps and recharging, etc) I would give them 5 Stars. You will find their work to be done well, they will stand behind it, and their pricing will be reasonable. I have also brought my cars to Autotek more significant repairs (transmission, electrical issues, significant engine work) - which I no longer recommend. Chances are good that they will be able to repair your car, but it can take awhile to identify the root cause which can add some unnecessary expenses to your bill (and delay the return of your car). Autotek is still a great place to have general repair & service done, but for significant repairs, I'd reccomend going elsewhere. read more

These guys are suspicious. I took my car in for a thermostat issue. After waiting ALL DAY and two calls for an update, they come back to tell me I not only have a thermostat issue, but also a timing issue. I didn't ask them to check the timing because there were no symptoms of a timing issue. I decide to take my car elsewhere because this seems shady to me and guess what? After I pick up my car, it has timing issues. Funny how something that wasn't previously a symptom is now a symptom. Red flag! read more

Stay away from this shop unless you just need an oil change or tires. They have no idea what they are doing with any other problem. I went in with a transmission problem and they misdiagnoised it as needing a service. Leaving the shop it still slipped, actually worse than before. took it back and they added an additive and said that was all it needed. It didn't. It needed the transmission rebuilt which was quickly diagnoised at another shop. When asked for a portion of my money back because nothing clearly got fixed, I was refused and rudely at that. read more
