The owner quoted us a $100 for a single chrome fender trim piece (the same set of all 4 trims pieces available on Amazon for $87.70). Why didn't you buy the fender trims from Anazon ? We understand they are in business to make moneys but disappointed with the manager's immature, eragant attitude. Nicolas and his associates at Cypress Auto Salvage saved my rare (and expertly restored) 7th Generation Honda Civic Si from being taken to a junkyard here in Hawaii. A pillar channel drain became plugged which caused the upper metal dashboard panel to rust away - so completely rusted that the panel lip that supports the windshield deteriorated. I had the odds against me... not a single salvage yard on the island had my year Civic Si because my car is rare here on Oahu, and Honda Motor Company discontinued manufacture of the part a decade ago. But Cypress Auto Salvage saved my Civic Si due to having received another 7th Generation Civic Si that was being "parted-out", that had a rust-free upper metal dashboard panel; they cut the panel out, constructed a solid wooden crate for the heavy metal panel, and Cypress Auto Salvage even arranged for the shipping from the Port of Oakland to Honolulu - all at a reasonable cost. I had an auto metal fabricator prep and weld the dashboard panel here so; basically, my Honda Civic Si is even more fully restored than before. I agree with other customers = if Cypress Auto Salvage does not have your part, they have a nationwide network so they will find your used part in good condition! Called for 2 wheels for my Nissan leaf. Plain cheap steel ones. New they go for $65. Guy quoted $100, plus $15 for the tire. I asked if I could come look. I would have paid it if the tire was in good shape. They had a 2018 low mileage leaf. Might have been worth it Came down, they had to pull the car down. Tire was shredded. Wheels in what looked like ok shape, but who knows. I asked for a price. Was told $80. I said I would pass....I can buy new with no potential issues for less. And guy helping gave a snarky comment that I knew the price when I called. Heres the thing. I knew price. I didnt know condition. And I didnt need a snarky comment. My dealings were with 2 people - Mike and Rich. I run a small repair shop and needed parts from 2 vehicles. I ordered the front bumper and hood from a Mini Cooper and a transmission from a Saturn Ion. I received the parts with moderate damage to the hood including scratches, scuffs, dents, etc. The front of the bumper also had scratches and scuffs. The shipping pallet was not damaged, nor was the plastic wrapping covering all of the parts. The damage occurred before shipping. Mike was great, professional, and courteous every time I spoke with him. He knew exactly what was going on with all the transactions I was doing. He gets a 4 1/2 star because he wasn't there for the final stages of the order. Rich was the last person I spoke with about the transaction. After finalizing the price for all of the parts with Mike, Rich called me back and charged me an extra $70 for the grill that was attached to the hood and was included in the price when speaking with Mike. After receiving the parts and realizing they were damaged, I immediately called Rich while I was still at the shipping facility. He said he did not send damaged parts and that it must have been the shipping. I informed him there was no damage to the plastic wrap or the pallet. He said to send him photos. As soon as I got home I sent him an email with photos. He called me back and asked if I filed a claim with the shipping company. I said no, since there was no damage from shipping. He proceeded to tell me there was nothing he could do since I didn't file a claim with the shipping company and he didn't send damaged parts. His quote to me: "I don't send damaged parts, you know that right?" I responded by saying I didn't know him and he laughed. Frustrated with the week long process, my customer finally agreed to a $100 discount on the order of over $1300. I was very frustrated with the ordeal and will not be doing further business with his company. My recommendation is to only do business with them in person! read more

These folks are a class act. That's the short of it. The longer version: On my (one) day off, I decided to get my VW turbo smog tested. I was failed due to an unknown broken oil dipstick and needed a replacement fast. Dealer told me 2 days. So I called Cypress Auto on the long shot I could locate a used one. Mike answered the phone and said, "yup, I'm sure we have a few kicking around". "Any way to be sure?..... I'm driving over from SF and don't want to waste a trip". "Positive. I'll pull one and have it waiting for you at the counter - no charge". 30 minutes later, I arrive. Mike has stepped out of the office and isn't there, but the other polite people behind the counter had been told I was coming, "you must be the guy who needs a dipstick". They hand me the exact part I needed and again.... "no charge". REALLY??! Despite this part's enormous value to me on that particular day, I realize the going rate for a used VW dipstick is probably nominal - but Cypress had absolutely no reason to extend such generosity. They are business and I've never purchased from them before. But these guys (and girls) peddle in good will too, not just lightly used car parts.
