I am so elated to make this post because my elderly mother had a very scary experience with her car battery today. However, the wonderful professionals at this location took such great care of her, were patient, explained everything that was going on with her vehicle, and helped her to get the issues resolved. Initially, she went to AutoZone, but they would not assist her because her situation could have caused some bodily injuries as well as damage to her vehicle. But Mr. Alfred stepped up, put her at ease and took such great care of my mother. Additionally, we initially thought that my mother did not get a receipt, so I called back to the store and asked to speak to the manager, and the young man who answered the telephone, was quite delightful, and patched me right through to the manager. I spoke with Miss Jennifer and explained the situation asking for a duplicate receipt. She Looked the transaction up in the system and told me that my mother could come and pick it up as soon as she wanted to. This level of Customer Service is unheard of these days. Most often, it seems like people in the service industry have absolutely no desire to actually help people. However, that is not the experience at this Advance Auto Parts. Hence, the reason that my mother went to this location is because of an exceptional experience that my sister had recently with Mr. Alfred as well. So, this is not just a one-off situation whereas excellent customer service was provided. This is simply what they do at this location. The process to install took around an hour or so. Pretty happy with the customer service and the install. (I didn't drive my truck the next week because I was in the field so less than a 100mi driven) After a week, I was driving with my fiancé to a buddies house and my cruise control didn't shut off. I pulled in to my buddies and had a bite to eat. After the night was finished, we got in my truck to leave and my truck didn't out of park. I unplugged the battery to see in there was a computer system problem but no luck. After further investigation and tapping on the brakes to see if the broke lights came on the pedal dropped to the floor. I looked down at the pedal and it had completely came off the brake rod. I assembled the brake pedal together but there was no retaining pin. I looked around for it and no luck. (I was a certified break mechanic back before the army) I had to buy the pin but it was stuck at my buddies house for a few days. I called the shop and asked about their process. They assured me that they didn't take the system apart. I won't play the blame game. Just remember to look over all work done on your vehicle. This could have been a life and death situation with not having brakes. Luckily it wasn't for my fiancé and me. The dash was disassembled to make the process faster and I saw a review how a customer gotten her dash cracked. (I am very tight on time) I didn't work on the remote before going there and remote start was brand new. The vehicle has been inspected every year. by a certified mechanic. Response was unprofessional and delusionary.
