Do not do business with this store. The manager was incredibly rude and disrespectful. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau and AutoZone Executive Relations. I attempted to return an item that didn't work out, and instead of handling the situation professionally, the staff accused me of lying and refused the return. This kind of treatment is unacceptable and has cost them a customer for life. I spoke with a representative named Johann, and when I asked for the manager's name, they refused to provide it. I called in to this location to have my alternator and battery checked to see what's my issue. I work on cars and just needed to see what's the problem my battery or alternator. The car I had checked sat for over 2 months, of course the battery is drained. The dude used a battery volt tester and of course it's not gonna keep a charge, I just had jumped it. He then says my alternator is bad... The car never shut off prior. *___* I then told him check my alternator and he said his battery tester IS an alternator tester. You can take out the alternator and check it separately. I told him to do that, he then says the only one they have is not working "for some reason". So all other autozones have 10 alternator testers but here they only have one and all of a sudden it doesn't work??? Imagine someone uneducated comes here and now thinks they gotta spend $250 on a new alternator cause of these guys. DONT COME HERE read more

2017 f250 was having trouble starting went in to auto zone an was greeted by a young man name Sean Madan came out checked both batteries said they were both showing BAD he then checked the dates on them then informed me they were still under warranty and told me he would replace both my batteries under warranty and it would cost me nothing, I was quite surprised by this. he then checked and told me they had eight of them so he loaded his cart , tools an replaced both batteries Free of charge , now mind you they were 221.00 each I was very happy with their warranty but for him to install them and thank me for coming in really surprised me , thanks Sean and auto zone ! all I can say is GOOD OUFIT . read more

I had some car troubles on my trip to Southern California these last few days. I have to say I was blown away by the level of service offered by associates Luke, Carolyn, and Joseph. Not only did they help me but they were all friendly to a level I've rarely experienced. The tests were executed and fixes made to make me feel safe about my return journey to Northern CA today. Great service and personalities is what sets service experiences apart. Came in and was helped by a man by the name of Victor J. I told him I came to return windshield wipers (Crosstreks do not like universal windshield wipers) and was asked if I had a receipt. I responded no and he said nope can't return it. I said I called and was told I can get store credit and he asked his coworkers and gave him an obvious yes response. SORRY NO TRASH CANS". I've been going to autozone for years (presumably before this kid got his first job) and trash cans were always available. I've been going to Autozone for at least 20 years & the only reason that I've always came back was because the people that work there are helpful. Walking in with a question usually results in me being asked by the autozone employee what make & model my car is & them saying, "Oh yeah, this is the item you need, it's a..." but I guess AutoZone likes to hire people who just stare & say, "you gotta tell me what you want, we don't look things up for people". I don't mind going outside your store & sitting in my car & Googling my own issues & researching which item is correct & then returning to the store to buy my item "hoping" it's the right item or you could've just told me what battery fits in a 2016 Mazda. I guess your return policies are super flexible? Maybe it's the way I looked or the fact that I interrupted the cashier talking with his friends & he thought it made him look really cool to be rude to a grown man wearing a mask properly, I don't know. All I know is that I'll never buy a single thing from AutoZone. It was a super nice touch to tell me after I bought my items, "By the way, we have the item you've been looking for right here so next time you don't have to search all over the store for them" after already knowing what item I'm trying to buy. Maybe you should remind the employee that there's literally hundreds of more qualified & more deserving people to have fill their spot. A few days ago, I purchased lower control arms through the store manager at AutoZone's E. Ontario Ave location. When the store manager showed me the parts on computer screen, I asked if he could check it is the same model I purchased before. He looked up my purchase history, and quickly confirmed it is the same model. And under the warranty, he said, "Yes, you purchase it now and bring the old control arms back for refund." Yet, when I brought back the old parts, the store manager denied everything. He said it was never purchased before. "Could the purchase history be under my other account? There are two accounts under my name," I said. The store manager refused to look into it, and arguing he understood everyone trying to save money. Over the years, I have been in and out at AutoZone's W 6th street and E. Ontario Ave locations buying auto part. The staff has always been helpful to wonderful. Some of them always go the extra mile to provide comments and suggestions. Never had I encountered such rude employee, yet a store manager, before. I run by W 6th street location. Pete received me over the counter. I asked Pete if he could show me my purchase history on my both accounts. Then he quickly located the part number and confirmed it's the same part purchased years ago. It was that familiar professional process!! I made the return and got the refund to my credit card. As always, Pete was friendly and went extra miles to help. On one visit, I was not sure what to choose for oil pan sealant. Pete went through similar products with me, and provided his insightful suggestion! When I quickly filled Pete in the terrible experience from E. Ontario Ave's location, Pete even apologized to me for that store manager's rude manners. It was that familiar friendly experience again. Thank Pete for making my day back, after the hassle from E. So I normally go to the one on McKinley. But I do most of my work near 6th street. So I go to autozone a lot... like a lot. I like autozone and been a proud customer for a while. Well anyways I've never had an issue with the employees or anything but the older gentleman that works at this location has a bad attitude. At first I thought he was having a bad day or something and I understand it happens so I let it go. But I've been coming here for a while now and it's a pattern. Not only with me but with anybody he "helps". I've figured out he has a 1 question limit and if you ask just even one more thing you'll hear his displeasing sounds. They are really helpful with actual auto parts. I got a car starter here for a good price after a discount I used that I got in the mail because I'm part of their Auto Zone Rewards program. I was also able to bring my old starter and got money for it. They are not so helpful with other items. I once asked for a car wash/shampoo item and the employee just said whatever they had out was all they had. She had no idea what I was talking about. She didn't even give me a recommendation for another type. So this place has its pros and cons. I just come here because it is convenient. read more
