Searching for car parts really isn't my thing but I needed to find the bulb for my busted headlight. I decided to head over to auto zone and once I walked through the doors I was greeted by the cashier. I walked over to the headlight section and started flipping through the pamphlet that corresponded with my car's make and model. After all, I thought, "How hard could this be?" It might as well have been a foreign language since I couldn't figure out which light/ serial # corresponded with my car. "I wish I had a car guy handy," I thought. Voila, like a genie Alexander shows up and asks me if I need help. I told him that I needed a headlight replaced. He quickly found the bulb for me and gave me a quick tutorial to search for the almost invisible serial number etched on the busted light (in case it happens again) to match with the bulb I need. Or just to ask one of the staff for help, as it would be faster. Great customer service, glad I came here. read more

This was where I picked up that magic formula that finally helped pass the beater's SMOG on the retest. I didn't even know this thing existed but it's always good to learn something new I'd say. When I walked in, I tried to do the manly thang by not asking any questions and just kept wandering around the aisles to see if I could find it. I was lucky enough to have help in getting a jump and to AutoZone where Cassandra works. There is always a wait when it comes to buying anything here. Understaffed and undertrained managers. I came in today to buy a part, went to wait at the registers. One of the associates was free to ring me up, but was called by the manager Jessie to finish up what the he had started. So I end up waiting behind a customer that was being helped at the computers. Jessie then walks around to scan a few items, check up with the customer, and joke around with people. 4-6 minutes later two more customers line up behind me, and Jessie finally decides to help the next customer. I tell him all I want to do is pay for my one item, and he directs me to the registers. Where I end up waiting another 5-6 minutes while the associate is finishing up with his customer. Customer service can go along way into making anyone want to come back. Even if it was just for one tiny part. But I feel like I need to go out of my way to either go to O'reilly's, or another autozone, just so I don't have to put up with bad service at this location. read more

I had the best service at the Auto Zone than any auto parts store in a long time. I recently bought a used pop up trailer and a new hitch for it. Kasondra told me to bring the trailer in. She and another employee, Kayla, got the battery disconnected, charged, tested and reconnected for me; helped find links and get them attached to reconnect the chains to make them longer, and helped with a couple of other minor issues to get my pop up trailer ready to hit the road. Very dirty. And unprofessional managers. My wife had purchased the wrong set of headlight bulbs. So we went back together to get the right set. Our problem arises when the Manager applied her return amount towards our next purchase of the correct bulbs. I am military so when i purchase the new bulbs they applied the 10%. This is were the manager goes ape shit and starts yelling at me cause he cant understand basic math. The 10% was only applied to the current amount left instead of the whole item price. I asked if they could fix it. Instead of offering the way to fix it the manager beat on his chest like an ape and yelled at me. I said, you know what too easy. Just give her cash back for the item she bought. and re-ring the item up with the discount applied and it will reflect the 10% on the whole purchase. Manager Beat his chest some more and said its going to be the same. But nope. I was right, when the item got rung up with out them directly applying her credit the discount was for the full amount. Too easy. Didn't need you to beat on your chest and yell at me. read more

I have honestly always had THE worst experience when going into this store. Long lines and no customer service with 20 employees and yet nobody at the registers. However, when I went into this store a few days ago and my usual experience there was met with the most friendly efficient and downright enjoyable cashier imaginable, I HAD to write a review. She was The ONLY person at the register for quite a while until she was able to get someone from the back to help while the other cashiers all stood around doing absolutely nothing (only laughing instead of helping as she tried projecting her voice enough to call to the guy in the back). When she was able to get the guy in the backs attention though, he gladly came to her assistance with the outdoor customer service items (bigger Mexican dude I honestly didn't appreciate before his "heroics" today). I just wanted to say that the comedic way of dealing with what had to be the most frustrating situation for her, this young lady was able to make the frustrations of myself and the other patrons almost non-existence, as we all joked together while waiting for the line to move (which surprisingly was not that long, since as I said before she was quite efficient and yet still very friendly, even with the Spanish speaking customers as she seemed quite proficient in the language for a young Caucasian female). A few customers even stuck around a bit to get a chance to talk to her more once the line was done (me and my wife included) to be sure and tell her what a breathe of fresh air she was and how impressed we were with her customer service. So the point of this review is, never go to this store in their busy times , or ever really, unless you are lucky enough to catch their new parts manager (moved from the suisun store I have always preferred to go to up until now) because she will make what may begin as the worst experience turn into one of the better ones of the day :) Thank you miss Kassandra for all of your help and a refreshing experience and attitude. I have had a few occasions at this location were I have been waiting for 10+ minutes for help to get a car part, and then they answer the phone and help the customer on the phone. I understand I am already at the store, but service like this makes it much easier to just go to Kragen across the street. ANSWER THE PHONE AND TAKE A MESSAGE, AND CALL THE CUSTOMER BACK MIGHT BE AN IDEA!!! OR HOW ABOUT A RECEPTIONIST IN THE BACK THAT CUSTOMERS DONT SEE AND THEY TAKE THE PHONE CALLS!!! This AutoZone is nice, they always have parts in stock and they always try to help you out and stuff, and give you advice as well to what your car problems could be. They dont mind stepping outside to help you out with your car either and would sometimes let you borrow some tools if you need. They got good deals and is alwayas cheaper than most competitors. read more
