Went in looking for license plate screws. 3 employees behind the counter with maybe 1 customer. Never once was I asked if I needed help. I found that I needed, brought it to the register. It rang up $1 more than it was labeled. So I showed the employee behind the register where the item and price was. He said, "oh I can't change the price, I'm not a manager". Ummm ok. I had to buy them anyway because I needed them. They ended up not fitting so I went back inside. Passed the same 3 employees and wasn't asked, "hey you're back. Was everything ok?" How can they credit LESS than you paid ? Not only that but they were RUDE !! Now why would I want 2 batteries for the same vehicle ?? This place is rude and a mess. First, I tried to pay with Apple Pay when I was informed they accepted it. They did not, as it kept producing a "card error" message. I ultimately paid with a credit card (same card on my phone). Hardware problem, got it. I then asked the person to if they were able to give me change for a $10, to tip the car wash across the street. The manager Angel (oh the irony) proceeded to talk down to me saying "they are not a bank". Obviously, his detective skills were on point. When did he realize this? How long did it take him? Quite impressive if I do say so myself. But really, a simple "no" would have sufficed. It's unfortunate Angel wasn't capable of conducting a normal human conversation, let alone reasonable customer service. I use to get the car parts/accessories here when I got car washes because it was conveniently across the street. I won't be doing that anymore. Ever. I can just get it delivered to my home somewhere else. And oh yeah, I also paid almost double for the products I purchased comparable to other places. I don't mind paying extra for the convenience. In general I really like AutoZone stores. Had to get new windshield wipers. So I looked up on yelp for AutoZone and found a store really close to us. I called the store to see if they carried the windshield model we needed which they did. So we drove over to buy them and after we bought the wipers we had no idea how to change them on the car. No thanks to my Toyota car dealership in Hollywood, they never bothered to let me know in my maintenances that this was happening or to even try and help it. The manager and workers here were extremely helpful in helping me understand what happened with my battery and how to maintain it. They helped me put in the new battery and removed the old one. Everyone we asked to help us was very rude including our own neighbors who are always working on cars. So we took a lyft to this autozone and immediately we felt welcome.
