Adrian hooked up the defibrillator to determine why the CHECK ENGINE light was on... gave me the bad news and suggested I photograph the screen to show the mechanic. Good idea. Then I bought new wiper blades and Adrian installed them for me. I could have done that myself, but I was depressed that my car has a cylinder misfire. Located along Dixie Highway, this Advance Auto Parts offers free in-store/curbside pickup and delivery. The store was well stocked and organized with various replacement auto parts (batteries, spark plugs, alternators, air/oil filters, brake pads/shoes, rotors & drums, etc.), wash & wax products, interior & exterior accessories (seat covers, floor mats, etc.), tools & equipment, performance products, and fluids & chemicals (motor oil, brake fluid, coolant, transmission fluid, etc.). An associate can assist you by performing a diagnostics test on your vehicle to help you figure out what is wrong with it. I stopped by to get coolant, but not just any type...my vehicle required Dex-Cool engine coolant and there wasn't many auto parts stores that sold it. Once I searched that type of coolant on the internet, Advance Auto Parts came up. There was a few items on sale, unfortunately the coolant was not. Cost $17. The associate who cashed me out was considerate enough to look into the system to see if the type of coolant I had was the right one to use in my vehicle, which I really appreciated. Local place for all your do it yourself car needs. Been here over the years for car batteries and windshield wipers. The last visit here was for a degreaser for my wheels on my car. To be honest the guy here told me to be careful as it will eat the finish on your wheels. Too worried that I would damage the cars I tried it once and was done. The second Advance Auto Parts store to do the exact same thing. I placed my order online, when I picked it up it was not what I had ordered. Then they try to convince me that it will work. When I return the part, I have to wait 10 days before I get back what I paid. Whoever's pulling the orders must not have the ability to actually read and comprehend what the order is for. Why do they waste my time and tie up my money because they are clueless and some what incompetent idiots trying to get paid? I will never place another order on line. The 15% discount doesn't compensate me for the time I have wasted with my money tied up for 10 days. On the up side, Auto Zone has the part I ordered at a lower price, even with the 15% discount for wasting time. read more

There is no return policy available anywhere to be seen in the store. You're also not told the return policy on any items that you purchase. I believe the acting managers name was Jerome, young man with dreadlocks, and he told me the manager would not be available for a week. He stated that the return policy was available online and they would not take returns on electrical parts even though I was given the wrong electrical resistor for my f150. He stated all he could do is exchange it for the same item which was a rhetorical statement. read more

On vacation...car wouldn't start after breakfast on Sunday morning. Got online, found this Advance Auto Parts nearby, bought online, jump started car, drove to Advanced on Dixie. Walked into store, told them I ordered it online. Alex tested my battery and confirmed battery was less than 40% amps. He wheeled out a cart with tools and new battery I had paid for online, and had battery changed in 10 minutes. Terrible customer service. I couldn't find the item I was looking for - while there were about 5 sales people standing together not doing anything. I asked the person behind the counter for help finding it and he told me they're probably out. He never offered to help me look for it - there was one salesperson behind the counter that was busy charging a battery and offered to help me when he was done. My wife's car didn't started when she was leaving work.I thought she probably left a light on while at work,she got jump started the car and managed to get home.After trying to find the problem we decided to take it to the nearest Advance Auto Part,which happened to be a few blocks from home.Betty was the associate that took care of us...she checked the battery and the readings showed that the battery was not charging at all,she pointed out that the battery was one of the brands that the store carries.Not been able to remember when or where we bought the battery we were so lucky to have Betty and her expertise and knowledge who told us that the battery was bought in a different Advance Auto Parts branch and stills on the warranty.She went above and beyond and help us in changing the battery.Since she provided such a good costumer service experience my wife and I decided for now on to go with Advance Auto Parts for all our four vehicles needs.Thank you Betty. read more
