I'm a fan for life! I took my Audi Q7 into their shop this morning. They were able to see me right away and resolve my problem less than 30 minutes. The dealer wanted to charge me $4000 to replace my entire exhaust system because of a small rattling noise. The guys at American Muffler were able to find the actual problem, it was a small piece of bent metal touching the exhaust pipe. They literally just bent the metal back by hand and didn't charge me a dime. These guys are honest and down to earth. I highly recommend them. read more

Being somewhat on elderly side of life, 72, but wanting to enjoy the age related second childhood that comes with it, I went out and purchased a custom modified Lexus RC-F, which is basically "track car," and then I had the engine bumped up somewhere beyond the 500hp mark. Having always been somewhat of an hot rod engine head type of guy with gasoline running through my veins, I get an immense thrill out of listening to the gentle rumble of a big block V-8 while driving along and its sharp bite roar when hitting the pedal to the metal. Unfortunately that was something my stock mufflers weren't delivering. So, with some help from Yelp, I came up with Five Star rated American Muffler. When I arrive at American Muffler I was surprised to see that it wasn't just some little hole in the wall hot rod shop but in fact a large full service facility consisting of a number of work bays, offering all sorts of muffler replacement and repair. When I entered I was immediately given a warm greeting. A couple of the staff looked over my car, but then instead of trying to sell me anything, gave me some really good advice about where I might go on the Internet in order to listen to comparative custom muffler sounds along with the suggestion that I'd be best of purchasing a custom made to fit kit over the Internet on my own thereby avoiding any dealer retail markups or added expenses of pipe bending. Then, just bring the kit to them, and they would be happy to install it at what would only be a nominal cost. It's not many such shops that will give you such good advice while in the process talking themselves out of obtaining any markup profits or additional hourly work charges. I took my car in to American Muffler to get some work done. The job was done quickly, but after lifting the car back up to put the skid plate on I noticed the lack of quality. I paid $160 for pipes that are smaller than original, bolts that are too small and no type of washers. read more

Another shop made the profit of a cracked manifold. He did not seem to think it was fair that a 3/5 was given which is neutral and doesn't affect his scoring on yelp because of lack of response and thinks it will hurt a small business. I have family small business, people have the right to know what specifically occurred. Your rating is based on what occurred. I had a great experience at this shop. Its family owned and operated, everyone was very helpful and they're very knowledgeable. I was very impressed with their work and at how fast they did it. I had them weld a straight pipe to my downpipe with an exhaust tip and they were done in about 30 minutes it was very clean work. I was also pleasantly surprised at how affordable it was. I definitely recommend this place and ill be back to do any other muffler modifications. read more
