Julien and Brandon deserve a promotion, raise, a big fat bonus and everything else. They both went above and beyond to help change a brake light for me that was completely fused and melted into the socket. Not only did Julien first make sure which light needed to be changed out, because somehow police officers just assume we are to know that our tail light / brake light is out, I went straight to auto zone right away. Julien and Brandon spent a good hour out in the rain prying out this old bulb that was rusted, melted and fused to the socket. After being completely soaked from the cold, freezing rain, they got it out and replaced the bulb and made sure it was working. I can't thank them both enough for everything. 2 teenagers in there are not really doing there job they had me waiting 15 min cuz they were busy Talking to each other while there was 7 people in line waiting. I come to this AutoZone often and everything is always good, in and out no problems. Todays customer service was exceptional thanks to Carlos. He asked the right questions and was quick to respond while assisting me. What took it even further was while he was pulling items off the shelf in the same moment he was pulling the items to the front from where he pulled them, that's rare and special. I can tolerate unresponsive/unhelpful employees. I usually know what I need so that I don't have to deal with them. The one time I actually need help, I was given the wrong information TWICE. One of the associates didn't know what I was talking about when I asked for a certain product. Instead of looking it up on the computer, he lazily pointed me to something I did not need. After putting the chemical in my car and further messing up my problem. I then asked the manager for help. I asked him if the coolant was the correct one that I asked for the first time. He proceeded to lie and say that it was the correct fluid. My CHECK ENGINE light came on to which he could not tell me why. He then told me to try a different location. Basically shoving my problem out of the door. I only take blame for not doing my OWN research extensively. I thought that they could point me in the right direction, but I was mistaken. I go back to ask for a refund for the product since the damage was done and I'd have to spend money/time fixing it. The manager further lied to make it seem like they didn't give me false information. He also admitted that his employee was originally at fault but still would not refund my money. In all, I find most of the associates that work there to be lackluster in enthusiasm when it comes to help. Having worked in retail, I cannot understand the Store Managers logic when it came to dealing with the situation. Especially after admitting that his employee handled the situation wrong. The newer staff at this location make every visit worth the trip. They are a complete contrast to the original group who always had better things to do than assist customers (sic). Now I know that I'll get top-notch, knowledgeable, professional, and friendly help with all my questions. It's a comfort knowing I'll walk out with the right parts as well as tips on installations. Not only do they not treat women badly, but they have real vehicle knowledge. I've been coming here for a couple of cars now and never had a bad experience or regret. Recently tried another chain on this street and the kid not only gave me advice that said on the container would permamently damage my vehicle, but he had the nerve to talk to me as if I was stupid. Today I asked if they could install a wiper that I bought here and couldn't get to fit. He immediately said, "no problem" and said he would have installed it even if I got it elsewhere. read more
