I took two batteries here last weekend so they can charge and test it and I picked it up a couple days later they could not find my battery. I had to go find it myself in the stack of 50 batteries they had on the side. I asked if it was good they said I don't know they didn't charge it or anything. They didn't label it. They were very unorganized and service is slow sometimes even when they have fully staffed employees.. Absolutely the worst autozone in the entire chain. The assistant manager very rude. I'm not able to speak due to an entry on my throat and she constantly starts yelling at me because I'm not answering her and I'm trying to explain and showing her my phone so she can read the text saying that I can't speak then refuses to sell me anything because I won't answer her question, absolutely positively the worst person to have working counter for being an insistent manager. I needed a new car battery and not only did she install a new one, she educated me on other basic supplies I needed to go along with it that I've never had any other auto store employee tell me about. THEE, only reason I'm giving this place a 5 star is because of Alex! However, the 4 out of 5 men that help me, were quite lovely. Alex, is the star of the show. I needed my auxiliary battery replaced. I went in at 11am to have them replace my battery, it wasn't fixed until 8pm. once the new battery was placed into my compass.. there was no power. none, at all. The workers tried their hardest to figure out what was wrong.. which, no one could..... EXCEPT, Alex. he finished his shift, came back to auto zone and looked over my car until he figured out his coworkers mistake.. Wish I could go lower. I paid for 2 bulbs for my brake light and back up lights. The next day it went out again. The guy jammed the clip in and shorted the circuit board. Had to take to the dealership to get repaired. Now I'm told that I have to wait 45 minutes to file the claim. Will be calling corporate tomorrow. read more

They were younger associates than previously (and I mention that because this generation is just different). The kid was not confident, nor did he want to take any extra measures to help. My car had trouble turning over twice today so I went to the AutoZone near 83rd Avenue and Union Hills and they tested my battery and it was bad. The battery was four years old which is remarkable in itself but it was out of warranty. No big deal, I paid for a new one. This is not why I'm leaving a review. The employee who helped me, whose name unfortunately I didn't get, swapped out the battery for me. That isn't unusual, for the most part...the location at 43rd Avenue and Bell wouldn't do this when I was there four years ago when I got the battery which finally died today (which incidentally wasn't the correct size for my car). This man or on an apron and rubber gloves, took his time to make sure the battery cables were clean and free of corrosion, made sure the battery tray was clean and seated properly, and applied anti-corrosion gel to the terminals. He worked efficiently and it took less than 10 minutes. His professionalism was exceptional and I tried to tip him $20 and he refused, saying they can't take tips. I know I will always be treated well at this location and will go nowhere else for car batteries. read more

I was left in a pickle when I left the light on inside my car overnight (silly me). The car wouldn't star, and I knew it was the battery due to the light draining it. I got my car jumped, and headed over to AutoZone. I was helped immediately. The gentleman who helped me (didn't catch his name) was phenomenal! He tested my battery and advised that it was dead and couldn't be recharged. Boo. I bought a new battery and added the 5 year warranty and a few other little things to stop corrosion near the battery. He gave me a discount, which was awesome! We then went outside and I watched him remove the battery (he made it look easy compared to the two hours I spent just trying to get one of the connecters off) and install the new one. He explained battery basics to me and how to keep make it last longer. All in all, AutoZone is more like AutoHeaven to a car-illiterate person like me. Thanks AutoZone! read more

If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would!! They are always VERY helpful and attentive, even when it's busy. After my check engine light came on and I went to Sun Devil Auto, they wanted $115 to tell me what the problem was. I came to AutoZone and Anthony ran the test for my check engine light and Kyle printed out the info for me. He was able to tell me that my problem was my gas cap. I had recently replaced my original one with a locking one and it didn't fit properly. Kyle got me a new one for $18 and was able to show me how to use it and confirm my old was didn't fit. He also recommended another mechanic for me so I can get second opinions on everything Sun Devil Auto told me. I wish I was able to tip the guys at AutoZone because I paid $18 for what Sun Devil Auto wanted to charge me $115 for!! read more
