Worked with Puna on my car. They did such an amazing job finding the problems with the car and explaining to me what needed to be done. My A/C stopped blowing cold and I figured it was the condenser. Right from the start, he blamed the incident on a 'new employee' who supposedly 'didn't know the Sun Devil protocol of verifying service recommendations before inspecting the vehicle'--his words, not mine. I questioned this excuse since the store manager had already provided a different one, and asked why their stories didn't match. Instead of addressing my concerns, John quickly responded, 'I'm gonna end this call,' and then hung up on me. I had a great experience here. My brakes were squeaking so I popped in. As a girl it can be nerve wracking to do anything car related, I don't know what anything is! They had my breaks done in about 2 hours. They even showed me my old brake pads (or lack thereof) vs what new ones look like. Just had my car serviced at Sun Devil Auto, 6750 W Bell rd in Glendale. I received a list of recommended services from the dealership , took that paper to Sun Devil where they did a full diagnostics on the car, which included emailed pictures. What the dealership had recommended was all necessary, the big difference was the price between the 2. Sun Devils was less which I wasn't surprised by but it was allot less, far less than I had expected it to be. The service was incredible. Drop off at 7am, complete diagnostics to me by 10am and out the door before 5pm. The entire staff is very nice, they explained everything to me in great detail and answered all my questions. Worst experience I've had at Sun Devil. They told me 45 minutes for oil change and transmission fluid replacement. 1.5 hours later, I ask for an update and they tell me they had to redo the transmission fluid. The Store Manager (Josh Wahl) has no concept of customer service or any obligation to perhaps keep customer informed about why it is taking a longer time than expected. He basically said they're busy and doesn't think they're providing bad customer service. He also said I was just sitting in the waiting area and should be the one to come up and ask for updates. Apparently, it's my fault that they had to redo the transmission fluid "for free" and they don't need to keep me in the loop. I will stick to their shop in Scottsdale. I've never had a problem at that location. This was the second issue I've had at the 67th and Bell location. It's sad that the chain can't be more consistent. It's also sad that the Store Manager (Josh) doesn't seem to care. read more

Hello A.A. at Sun Devil Auto. Oh, I do plan on going back to the 67 ave and Bell rd. Location. For what I paid I expect better. Here is the problem, Time. I work in pest control. My truck is the only one we have. If I can't work, we don't get paid. I stressed this issue to Jose Avalos. He told me 4 days. I told him as long as it is fixed right so I don't have to be off work anymore than necessary. I thought he understood. Of course, after receiving the receipt, it was clear to me that he didn't barely hear what I had told him. Unfortunately, I do have to go back. I now have stains in my driveway that are new. I checked my tranny fluid after I noticed these spots. Whoever put the fluid back in filled it way past the crosshatch area. It is all the way up to the bent area on my dipstick. Who knows what seals are gonna be blowing out due to that. What really scares me is bringing my truck back there. I just wish I had gone to dealer and had job done right the first time. read more

Only downside was that the coupon I had wasn't valid for the oil I needed, but that was a concern I had going in as I wasn't quite sure if the synthetic oil my car needed was included in the discounted rate. Brought my truck in for what I thought was going to be a transmission flush (pulling the pan and replacing ALL fluid) long story short in the middle of the service I asked if they would be pulling the pan and replacing the filter. The manager came over and told me they wouldnt because it would more than likely cause problems. He was wrong, I keep my truck very well maintained and needed a SIMPLE trans fluid and filter service. These morons proceeded to try and tell me they couldn't because it was possible it could cause damage, or problems in the future. which again wasn't true. So after charging me over $200 the color of the trans fluid was exactly the same color as it was when I brought it in. (Still dirty) When I call to tell them this, they laugh at me as if I'm not a mechanic myself (3+ years in aviation maintenance). Long story short I brought the truck to Christian brothers off of thunderbird, they did the service PROPERLY for me, and guess what trucks been running great ever since.
