Every time I come in here, I get awesome customer service. The one guy comes out to my truck to help me find the light/fuse I may need replaced. (Robert, I think?) Everyone there is nice however. They are super helpful, will look up something you want or need to buy if they dont have it and are always eager to assist. So The product I bought from the guy not only offered a 5 dollar rebate, but also if I signed up with my email I got an extra percentage off which he said nothing about. On top of that he sold me the wrong item. He just needs to go home and reset! But for Leah... she told me information I needed to know and was inviting. I came in because my check engine light was on. My car is fairly new and this was the first time this has happened to me. I went in and asked if they could check the light for me. The younger guy at the counter and the other guy with longer hair stared at my like I was dumb. He said "you can check it yourself" and handed me the device. I told him I hadn't done it before and didn't know how to use it. He said "I cant enter your car" when all I was asking was for him to come HELP me do it. Just show me how. After that an older man came and grabbed the device and took time to SHOW me how to use it and explained what was wrong with my car and how to fix is. He was very helpful and I appreciated him taking the time to teach me how to use the device. The other two employees were zero help and made me feel stupid for even asking. read more

Went in to get lightbulb replacement for my car, first guy was super helpful for what I needed. Went up to pay, and the 2nd guy named James attempted to help me find a battery for a key fob replacement. He was impatient with me and seemed confused at my questions. He was very condescending in how he responded to me and kept breathing heavily which gave off GROSS heavy toxic masculine vibes - he refused me service because he called me "ma'am" in a very heavy undertone and I called him out on it and told him to check his attitud. No problem, I will take my service elsewhere bc I refuse for some hillbilly (who prob eats his boogers) to make me feel less than for simply asking a question about a battery. A BATTERY! Good folks. They've stayed a bit late to help me figure out a solution for an unusual problem (making up an exhaust gasket for a motorcycle application). They can be slow to get to you when you need them at the parts counter or to check out, but it's understandable given how wildly the number of customers can fluctuate. read more

Terrible service. When my husband and I pulled up, there was an elderly lady in the parking lot waiting for her husband, who had gone into AutoZone to pick up a part. As I sat in the car and waited for my husband to inquire about a fuel pump relay for my vehicle, one of the employees came outside to help a man who was having an issue with his truck. Apparently this employee was a diamond in the rough because there was not another employee to be found. The manager was chatting away on his phone in the back of the store. 20 minutes later, the elderly lady's husband finally walks out to the car. Lord knows how long she had been waiting. Another gentleman who pulled up in a motorcycle shortly after we arrived comes trudging out of the store, frustrated and empty-handed. Next comes my husband who said he was being helped by someone who didn't know what a fuel pump relay was, let alone how to find it in their system. Apparently they looked it up on the O'Reilly's website and found the part number, which helped them finally locate it. Talk about handing business over to your competitor. It would have been a two day wait to get the part we needed through AutoZone, but thankfully, we found an O'Reilly's a little ways from this location and they were able to direct us to their other store, which ultimately helped us get my car running again...and WITHOUT the wait. read more

Very small store...so its a good thing that every time I go in, I just go up to a worker and tell them what I need, and they go find it. so very helpful. they even put your new windshield wipers on your car for you! (but they mucked it up last time, but oh well, at least they tried). It's located in that little strip mall that's hard to get in and out of. Oh well. read more

I went to the independence location, a few days ago to get my check engine light figured out. The male employee laughed at the brand of car I own and told me I should've gotten something else. Then he apologized to me because I "own a Benz and should've gotten a Beamer".. that was unnecessary and I never asked for his opinion and rude side comments. I went back again today, talked to different employees and asked for spark plugs. The employee told me they didn't have the specific brand I needed, so I had them call this location. The guy who called for me, told me they had 8 in stock. So I asked him to have them place the item on hold for me. He printed out a receipt, circled the item number and gave us the location of this autozone. I went in to this location, told them we had them on hold and the lady rolled her eyes at us and said they told the independence location they didn't have it. So she asked for the name of the employee that told us they had it in stock, she called the independence location and asked what happened. She chuckled and hung up. And then she slightly said under her breathe to a coworker that the independence employee said "they walked out before they could verify the part was in stock" and she sounded snappy and rude as hell, and she rolled her eyes at us again and walked to the back. I've never had such shitty customer service from autozone. I'm absolutely done working with this company, I've always had better service from NAPA and O'Reilly's anyways. I'm sick and tired of the rude comments about me driving a Mercedes, and about how it's the wrong decision to own one. I'm tired of the eye rolling and disrespect. I'm not going back to any location. It was a waste of my time to even go back the second time, and a waste of my gas to make the drive out here.. I arrived in the rain needing new headlight bulbs; one was out and the other was pretty dim. I asked for higher intensity bulbs and Justin selected the proper size then installed them. It was raining hard so he got soaked but he still had a great attitude. Justin saved me a bundle since the install is something I couldn't have done myself. Great customer service!!! I have gone to Auto Zone for years and have always found them helpful, above and beyond what I've experienced at other parts stores. They have connected a diagnostic unit to my car to figure out what it needs when the "service" light comes on, usually have any needed parts in stock, and have helped me several times to install new wiper blades that I've purchased from them. I am vertically challenged and cannot reach them very well in my tall SUV. Thanks, Auto Zone! read more
