One of their employees came out to assist and discovered that the ones we purchased were the wrong size. After a quick refund/replacement he helped finish the task at hand and she was legally on the road. Grateful to have been able to find this out at the store instead of at home, requiring another trip! The pros: - 10% Military Discount (you have to ask) - Free diagnostic checks - Assistance with minor installations (wiper blades, bulbs, license plate frame) - Tools for use - AutoZone Rewards (earn savings with purchases) The cons: - Always busy - You have to ask for help - Military status isn't in my profile While I don't ever look forward to shopping here, when I do, the pros outweigh the cons. Keep some cash on hand to tip in appreciation of the extra services provided (regardless of whether it's free)!

I can't say enough about the incredible help I received from Nicholas Burns at AutoZone in Oregon…read moreCity (Store #1689). I was about 40 miles from home when my truck suddenly shut down while driving on I-5. Thankfully, I managed to get over to the shoulder safely. The truck would crank weakly but wouldn't turn over. I suspected the battery or alternator had gone bad. Before I did anything else, I contacted my roadside assistance provider--only to find out that my account had been accidentally canceled due to an expired card. They told me it would take 72 hours to reactivate, so I was stranded with no backup and 40 miles from home. Towing was going to be way too expensive, and I had very few options. That's when I called the Oregon City AutoZone. I spoke with Nicholas, who quickly found the correct battery for my vehicle. I told him where I was and asked--half expecting a no--if there was any chance he could bring it to me. At first, he was understandably unsure, but he said "hold on a second," and put me on hold. When he came back, he said, "I'll bring it to you." I was blown away. Within 20 minutes, Nicholas showed up on the side of I-5, not only with the battery but he installed it for me as well--completely unexpected and incredibly generous. Once the battery was in, I was able to start the truck and drive to the store. Nicholas was heading out for lunch, so Fernando stepped in and tested my alternator, which turned out to be fine. But when I tried to start the truck again, I had the same issue--a weak crank and no start--and then we both caught a whiff of burnt electrical smell. At that point, the starter was the likely culprit. I went back inside and bought a new starter, and the team loaned me every tool I needed to replace it right there in the parking lot. It didn't take long, and when I finished, the truck fired right up and ran perfectly. What could have been an expensive, frustrating, and exhausting day turned out to be manageable, thanks to the above-and-beyond service from Nicholas, Fernando, and the rest of the AutoZone crew. I was in a tough spot with no help and very few options--and these guys stepped up when they didn't have to. Thank you, Nicholas and AutoZone Store #1689--you've earned a customer for life.

DO NOT GO HERE Made…read moreappointment and tire purchase 2 weeks prior. Had the appointment scheduled for 6-7. Got there, they were working on one suv for tires and one more after it and then me, I arrive early at 5 to see if maybe they were gonna be empty but I guess not. Anyways after getting there, they came up to me, checked me in and everything, told me they might be a little late but they will definitely be able to finish the install. After I went inside to look around while waiting and around 40-50 minutes later I got an email saying my appointment was cancelled. I was confused so I went back to the auto center but the door was locked, waited like 5-10 minutes to get someone's attention. Finally and the guy that came to the door told me to wait for his manager because he was busy so I did, keep in mind, I saw him on his phone before even noticing me. Anyways he tells me he won't be able to install the tires and that his employees aren't willing to stay overtime. I came all the way from Sherwood, waited an hour and a half after work and even got there early. A whole waste of time, atleast I was able to pickup my tires I guess but huge waste of time. I should also mention the workers there don't look like they should be working there, they're overweight and slow in the brain, like they can't process the fact that they're car technicians so honestly it might've been a sign that my car would've been messed up if I trusted them.

Chris said he'd have the key cut and programmed in 30-45 minutes and would call when it was ready. He never called, so I reached out myself--only to learn that he couldn't program the fob and had actually cut the key incorrectly, making it unusable. After telling me this, he just moved on to another customer as if my needs had been sufficiently met. Were it not for Ed, a more experienced associate, I would have effectively been stranded 30 minutes from home. But Ed stepped in and charged my battery, got me a working key so I could get home, and later gave me a discount when I had to return for a properly cut fob. Ed was excellent and really saved the day, but because of Chris' mistakes and lack of follow-through, I can only give this location 2 stars.
