Second time I've been in somewhat recently and the sales tags the have on their shelves for motor oils can't be scanned in their systems. Right now they have a full synthetic Castro Oil quart buy one at $12.99 and get a second for $7.99 but they could not scan it in to reflect the discount. The manager was attempting to resolve it but ended up just walking away. Not willing to give me a credit on it to use at a later date either. I asked them to please remove the sticker from the shelf so other people wouldn't be frustrated by this. I ended up purchasing just a single quart. I should have just gone elsewhere but pressed for time and it already took too long waiting for them to try to figure it out. read more

I'm happy to share that this is my go to place when I need help with my car even before going to a mechanic they seem to know what they are talking about with cars and even though they are not getting paid to tell me what's wrong with my car they are always very nice and attentive at this auto zone. I purchase 4ea. NGK Spark plugs for a Honda Accord and after installing all 4 the car started funny and the check engine light came on. Come to find out the Spark plugs were defected. I should've notice the package was a bit dented like if it was thrown or fallen to the ground. I try to returns then and show the sale rep and manager where it was defected. the manager said it wasn't her problem and that they couldn't exchange it or refund me my money. this is truly some BS.... i will be filing a lawsuit against Autozone as a company for selling defected (damage parts) at least they could've exchange it. never the least don't buy from them or read carefully if the parts have warranty. i normally don't buy from them but it was a emergency. protect your MONEY!!!! read more

Huge thank you to Diego for helping us figure out our battery/alternator issue today, and taking the time to look up our previous battery purchase. My husband bought a new battery online before we got here, only to realize the problem is the alternator not the battery... but my battery was only at 50% charge since the alternator wasn't helping. Diego looked into it and saw our battery was still under warranty. So we got a replacement for my car under the warranty, and switched out the battery we purchased for one that would fit my husband's Jeep! We needed one before Desert season anyway! Difference between two auto parts stores is the customer service. Walk in and asked if my car battery can be checked. " No there is only 2 of us here and we can leave the store". So no help there. I left and went to O'Reilly Auto parts where they too had only 2 employees and a line of customers but that did not stop them from helping .. all of us as I was not the only one there for a battery. Ordered a part online. 2 weeks later I recieved a box with the correct part information and the WRONG PART!!!! After my car was taken apart and we realized it wasn't the right part we took it into autozone. The guy who was lucky enough to ask can he help me told me this is typical of the company. I was offered a refund as they do not have the part I ordered anywhere in stock or from vendors at the moment. So I feel like they sent me a part knowing it wasn't right but wanted to fill the order. I was offered no future discount once my card refunds In 3 business days. No solution no alternative. Just sorry.... here's your money you have to wait for. I had the best experience at this location at AutoZone!!! I don't know how to install a car battery and quite frankly I don't want to learn how to install a car battery on YouTube, I bought my car battery here, they gave me a pretty fair price, Keith an AutoZone employee installed my car battery for me at no extra charge. Keith and the entire staff was very professional and most of all polite. The store is clean and organized and to top that off they greeted me at the door. Went in store for a car wash kit found a flyer right in front of the front door just what I needed for a gift .the clerk found all the accessories for this kit and rang it up the flyer said 20.00 he looked around on the computer for ten minutes finally went to the manager for his advice for the second time the manager said the sale is over I can give you ten percent off it was still 10.00 dollars over the sale price their is a thing called false advertising he didn't care what a horrible business never going to shop here. I used to live next to auto zone on el cajon blvd, I love autozone, they have huge parking lot so people can work on their cars. This was my first time at this autozone, the parking lot is huge like every other autozone location. I bought some antifreeze, orange hand cleaners and a funnel, total price 21 dollars. I've been going to autozone for a long time so I had 20 dollars in points! I ended up paying 1 dollar I will surely come back here, it's cheaper than the store down the street... Won't say who because they are not bad also The service here was great they greeted ASAP and helped us find our products, we didn't have to ask them for help... They asked us if we needed help. I went there to check my car battery. They seem very reluctant to help out. Customer service was not very good like that they don't want to be there. When a worker took my battery out to charge it, he lost my screw, and he said "well, I still have this one", like he did not care that he lost my screw. For some reason whenever we need a part and are told that it will be in by 1pm the next day it is never there. Ordered a part Friday at 8am and was told it will be there by 1pm Sat. I said is it best for us to call because you guys have a habit of my parts coming late. He said yes sometimes fedex runs a little behind. So we waited til Sunday morning and guess what?!?! NO PART. They tell us it will. Ow be in at noon today but to call first. I could have ordered on amazon and had it next day, I could have gone to oreilly's and pick it up at a different store if needed. I just happened to need something off the shelf so decided to give them a final chance on ordered parts. This was the final chance for autozone for us. We have so many auto stores in our area that going to autozone is not worth the headache and run around. And to add to the joy of this store unless they are talking directly to you it is a Spanish only store. Make sure you know Spanish cause who knows what they are saying behind your back. read more
