My husband has been a loyal O'Reilly Auto Parts customer for many years. As a proud U.S. Army Veteran, he has always appreciated the respect and recognition shown to him through the military discount O'Reilly offers. Unfortunately, today's experience was nothing short of disappointing and disrespectful. The representative named Angel not only refused to provide the military discount but did so in a rude and unprofessional manner. When my husband calmly questioned the reasoning, Angel dismissed him with a comment along the lines of "Whatever you have to say isn't making me rich, so I don't care." My husband, who looks Caucasian but is of Hispanic descent, felt completely disrespected and demeaned. When he asked to speak with a manager, Angel claimed there was no manager on duty. My husband returned home upset, and I personally called the store. Angel again stated there was no manager available and mentioned he was just "filling in" from another location, Store #3066 on Normandie off the 110 freeway. When I later contacted that location, I spoke with Eddie, who confirmed that Angel was acting as the manager that day. I explained what happened and how poorly Angel treated a U.S. Army Veteran, but Eddie had little to say. I was later provided the corporate number to report the incident, and I learned that the manager for the Hawthorne store is Kevin, while Luis manages store #3066. This type of behavior is unacceptable--especially toward someone who has served our country. Employees like Angel need to be retrained and held accountable for how they treat customers, particularly our veterans who deserve respect, not ridicule. We've always trusted O'Reilly Auto Parts for their professionalism and veteran-friendly service, and I truly hope this incident is addressed appropriately so no other veteran has to go through this experience. read more

I'm extremely disappointed with the service I received at O'Reilly Auto Parts, particularly at the Lawndale location (15122 1/2 Hawthorne Blvd). In February 2025, I had a car battery installed there, and just one week later, in early March, the battery died. I had to call AAA for assistance, and their technician confirmed it was a bad battery that needed replacement. I even have the AAA report as proof. I returned to the Lawndale store the next morning with the report, but was told the battery was "fine." They refused to replace it, despite it being under warranty. Fast forward to April 11, the battery failed again--same issue. This time, I was beyond frustrated and had AAA replace the battery entirely. What makes this worse is that I believe the battery originally installed by O'Reilly was used, not new. I went to a second location (4900 W 190th, Torrance) hoping for better help, but had a similar experience--dismissive attitude, no accountability, and no resolution. I'm writing this review so others are aware. This experience cost me time, money, and peace of mind. If you're relying on your vehicle daily, beware of the service and product quality at these O'Reilly locations. A warranty means nothing if the staff refuses to honor it. read more

The customer service is absolutely terrible. I went in to get windshield wipers, I asked the manager ( he was a short fat guy with glasses, and curly hair) if it would be possible if someone can help me install my windshield wipers. He walked away while answering me. To mind you he was mumbling. So when he walked back to the counter I asked him did you say something I couldn't hear you. He said yeah I did! What I said was we didn't come to work with sweaters on, and it's raining. As he said it he had a smirk on his face. I think he just wanted to finish his donut because he looked bothered that he had to put it down to help a customer. I had a great experience with Felix, one of the parts specialist at O'reilly Auto Parts Lawndale location. Felix was very patient, very professional and very courteous. Felix did not complain not once about backing his fellow co/worker up by replacing a battery with a screw that had fell below and was hard to get to and was no where In sight. Felix went straight to the root of the problem and assured me that he would take care of it and not to worry, I felt comfortable at that point and knew that I was In good hands, you do not get that type of service or assurance from an auto parts store, my heart stopped racing as Felix did his job. This O'Reilly's is great. Their people are so helpful and friendly. This time, I met with Zach and he helped me find a front head lamp for my car. When it was out of stock on the floor he found me one in the back and then he helped me to install it since it was my first time. He did not talk down to me because I was a woman; He was very patient in explaining it to me, and he got it installed quickly and efficiently. I have been to O'Reilly before and it was not a good experience, when the mgr would take back a part but only for store credit. Less than 12 bucks. I called corporate they contacted the regional mgr and even he made me sign up for a account but never apologized about it. Salvador at this looked up my account after asking me if he could help me find anything, after he explained what I need ask if I had a account. I said I think so, he looked it up had my name spelled wrong from the sign up during my incident. A shot out and a big thank you for you 1 customer service, and 2 your professional attitude.. I hope others learn from you on how to run a business and keep a customer coming back because I have many choices, But now I can choose this stores location because of Salvador... I was looking for a windshield wiper blade for my car, that is not "standard". Tried Pep Boys, and none in stock. Driving up Hawthorne Blvd I spotted this place. The guy I spoke with was great. Helped me find what I was looking for, and even helped show me how to install the adapter that came with it.
