I was in there this morning after the monsoon came in. The heat had destroyed my windshield wipers at least the rubber part. I went in told the young guy my make and model he sold me some anti fog stuff bc my car was fogging up in the interior windows with all of the humidity. I paid and while I was doing Apple Pay he went out and installed the windshield wipers for me. I didn't get the guys name bit it's nice to have someone go above and beyond these days. I'm a 46 year old guy could've totally done it and this guy is out there in the rain. Thank you young man appreciate you. read more

My OBD II port was moved by the previous owners I suppose. so, I failed inspection because they couldn't find the port. I went to autozone for help finding it and Matthew was both very kind but also super helpful. he was eager to assist and though we still couldn't find it, he gave me some tips for locating the port. Was helped immediately upon walking in the door and my return of an item went quickly. I was complying with their sign and wearing my face mask appropriately. However, at least one employee was wearing his face mask below his nose. I normally don't care as I'm not the face mask patrol, but while waiting for my return to go through, a manager went to assist the next person in line and told the customer to pull his face mask over his nose. I kindly said that if you're going to tell a customer that, then make sure your staff is doing the same. He got the point and said he will be speaking to his staff. read more

I flew back in to tucson today and my battery was dead. The airport parking authority jumped me and I went to the AutoZone on Valencia near the airport. They said they couldn't do a battery replacement as they did not have the staff and referred me to the one on Campbell and Irvington. I went in and they had four employees. I asked if they could replace the battery and the person hollered down the aisle and said do you want to replace a battery, he said no that's on you. The person I was speaking too then asked what the make and model was, I told him and the guy down the aisle came up and said oh I will replace if it that. I said what, he said a make/model I did not recognize and I said no and said again what my car was. He said oh ok and walked away. The person who looked like the manager said to him, so your not going to replace it? He said no he can to the other person, the other person said let me take a look first. He came out and said that the guard that covered the battery could not be removed by AutoZone and that not only the cover but several other parts had to come out to replace and he suggested I wait until the morning and go to Walmart to purchase the battery and have them replace as their batteries were cheaper in price. I then drove to the Ina store where we asked Donnie if he could replace and he didn't hesitate and new the exact battery we needed and replaced it in less that 5 minutes. We normally use this location as we have 5 vehicles, we just tried the others as it was getting late and we're close to the airport. We won't do that again and will stick with Donnie and the Ina location. read more

My car battery was replaced on July 2, 22 under warranty at the Tucson Ina road and Thornydale location - installing the battery Chance broke the wires to the battery - then he put a make shift clamp on it- I had to got to Jim Click Jeep to have them look at the damage and order a $97.00 part when the part comes in I have to pay for installation. I have contacted the Manager- I want reimbursed for all the expenses. Will stick with a dealer next time. read more

Stopper by to pickup some polishping compound. When checking out I noticed someone had forgot their keys. I mentioned to the cashier "Sam" someone left their keys and in a condescending attitude says "So they will be back ". They ended up being one of the employee's keys, and of which he was quick to give them to the employee. I am the only one standing there and he says next with attitude. I pay for my stuff and he tosses the receipt towards me And he grunts! Wow they are really scrapping the bottom of the toilet if this the kind of employees they are getting, it might do AutoZone better if they not hire a body and conduct better interviews and basic common courtesy evaluations. He was so patient and so kind and was even helping out several other customers at the same time and treated them just as amazing as he treated us. I will never go back to this auto zone again. The assistant store manager, Ian was so unhelpful. He watched as I struggled to carry an acid dripping battery inside and when I asked if he'd at least hold the door he rolled his eyes and barely cracked it. After the other gentleman offered me the bathr6to wash the acid off me I returned for Ian to say what? Do you want a new one or what? I had already purchased the $200 battery from a location in Phx so just needed to turn the core in. Should have been an easy thing but thanks to the assistant manager it was awful. Great customer service! Honest genuine people! Really out there to help people! Definitely recommend this location ! Shout out to Ryan and Steven who really helped me out ! So tonight I came into the store with a dead battery and possibly may have needed to replace my alternator. Well I don't know a thing about a car and it's way above my head. I walked in there hoping to find honest people with possible solutions/help guide me in making a decision/educate me. Here I am trying to explain what happened and I felt so inadequate trying to verbalize the situation. I don't know cars nor can I pretend I do. They quickly came to my help and were not condescending at all. In fact they explained everything and I actually learned a few things out of this visit. They were very knowledgeable. They did have to replace my battery but did it on the spot with no problems. I didn't have to wait at all. They made me feel like they truly cared . I am truly glad they were put in my path and helped me. They were good people and if they should ever need help I only hope someone comes with open arms to them as they did with me. The guy was rude to begin with. His name tag said Todo or Theodore or something like that (Ina & Thornydale location) He seemed to not want me and my young son to see his name tag very well. Worse thing is, I thought I could trust AutoZone but this guy tried making a sale by lying to me and telling me it was my starter when in fact it was my alternator. The AAA guy that came (who happened to be a mechanic before arthritis got the best of his hands) confirmed it wasn't my starter because my car wouldn't have started right up. I took my car to a mechanic afterwards and on purpose I DIDN'T tell him what the AAA driver told me but that mechanic also confirmed it was my alternator. My Dad came to Tucson to check it himself because my Dad is a mechanic but lives out of town (otherwise I would have called him first) he also found it was the alternator. So, you guys have a very dishonest employee there, AutoZone. Word of mouth goes a long way in Tucson so I'm going to spread this information around like wildfire about this AutoZone and put it on my Facebook too, on my profile wall. The service I received was inconsiderate and rude. I went in wanting to ask a question about a dent I received in my car and the worker was irritable and impatient, making it seem like he wanted me to leave as soon as possible. The worker didn't want to look at my car or hear any details about what was wrong with it. Would not recommend this car shop unless you want to be not helped. I am appalled! I can't believe how unhelpful this place was. I've never experienced someone so unwilling to understand what the actual problem was. He heard two words come out of my mouth which were "car, dent" and automatically told me I would need to take my car to the shop. To find out, I was able to do the job myself and fix the car from across the street at another car shop. Simple fix! He must not have wanted my business. Would NOT recommend! read more

I was recently in this store and spoke with an employee named Ian. He didn't even greet me with words, he "nodded" me over. I needed to know if they carried the knuckle piece to a rear view mirror, they didn't, so I asked if they have the whole assembly, he said "I don't know anything about that part, you're going to have to research it" I looked down the line of cashiers and every man was being helped and I'm being dismissed. The only employee that doesn't treat me different, in that store is John. If you need anything go to him, if he can't find it he will find someone that can. I arrive a second time, but this time with my husband. My husband went up to Ian and asked if he has the mirror assembly. Ian walked directly to where the mirrors were. My husband asked if Ian had anything to say to me and Ian said "No". So we got to talk to Allen the manager, who was very helpful and very apologetic. Monday I will be calling corporate. read more

Up and down service. Right down the road from me so im regularly in here for parts and stuff. It seems that i can spot out the helpful employees and know the less than helpful ones. I went in there the other night and needed windshield wipers. New car so i had no idea how to replace them. The guy at the counter searched for them. Found them and went to my tahoe to install them. Very nice service. Was 100 percent better than when i went to get a battery for my old truck. A different employee said im not sure to every question and sold me a battery that was too small. Then told me i couldnt return it !!! Ended up having to drive cross town to exchange it at a differnt autozone. But for sure that recent guy changed my outlook on this place. read more

Went here when my horn started getting softer and I knew it was time for a battery. The guy working said I needed a battery and alternator, but kept telling me to get the alternator at the junk yard. Since I have pretty decent car, I wasn't into a pick-u-part situation and got the parts. The battery was much smaller than the one he pulled from my car, and the numbers were different. When I told him this, he shrugged it off and said that didn't matter and it was all about the voltage. He also said I would just need to get a piece of wood to put in there and stabilize it. I wasn't having it. I asked him to look for a battery closer to the right size and told him I was happy to pay for the correct one. He went in and a very apologetic manager came out over apologizing for his mistake. I'm pretty sure this wasn't his first time screwing up a part by her reaction. He put the new, right sized battery in and started hooking up the cables. I asked him to put in the rest of the parts that protected the battery and he said the wouldn't fit because this battery was bigger- even thought the manager had me match up the sizes to be sure. He then threw the part on the ground right behind him. I left, with less parts in my car than I can with and dropped my car off at a local mechanics house the next morning. Turns out I didn't even need the alternator and he'd sold me something unnecessary. Our mechanic says this happens all the time there. Please beware- go to OReileys. read more

Especially the older gentleman that works there, will stare at you for 20 seconds without saying a word because he's stuck on the computer & doesn't know what to do. Never order anything from them because it won't come in!! & they will give all the excuses in the world on why it's not in yet.. Ordered on the 15th, they said it'll be here in 2 days. I get a call on monday the 17th saying it's here ! I head on down & shocker, they can't find it because it hasn't came in... I hate this autozone... everyone I go in there I have to wait, there is almost never enough staff and if there is enough staff they are to busy putting up truck (freight). They almost always never have the part I need in stock, I drive a Chevy for gods sake why the heck don't you have brake pads for an impala in stock?! I just $20 more for the set they did have in stock because I don't have time to wait or to drive to another store to get the part I want and need. Also almost every time I do decide to get a part they send me damn near ten miles away to get it. I swear I seriously need to start shopping at O'reilys because they are right a crossed the street and they always greet me like I belong. I don't have to wait very long before someone greets me. Oh I forgot to mention for all of those who know a thing about autozone they don't sell wittgtjdr like they are supposed to. They don't offer oil change specials like they are supposed to. They don't do drop stop 30/30 like they are supposed to. The dress code is not strictly enforced meaning they don't wear name tags at times. And there is zero "happy your shopping hear" attitude. I seriously hate this store. Zero help from the employees that work there. Sometimes I wish I could go back to work there so I can personally show them how it's done and supposed to be. I called And to put a brake master cylinder on hold . Rep said that they had 1 in stock and I asked him to double check that he had had it in stock because I live an hour or more away and the rep puts me on hold and then 5 min later says yes I do have one . So when I went to the store . The rep said they couldn't find the master cylinder even tho it says I have it on hold. So when I asked if they had anything else cause I needed the part that day . He said you can try oreillys and stated if they don't have it we can order it and get in Tuesday . So 2 days I would be with out a car . And the manager in a grey shirt was very rude talking to me and my father . I have never been so irritated at a store before because of the customer service. I told them I would not shop with them anymore . And I promise you I won't and I am going to tell a lot of my family and friends the experience and tell them to go somewhere else because of the lack of care and lack of customer service . So just to restate why I gave them a one star is because I can't give them a zero stars for wasting 2 hours of my time and staying something they do not have (basically lied to a customer ) . Also I have never had a store recommend a competitor company instead of trying to fix the problem they created. So again I would not advise anyone to go to the autozone on ina .
