He proceeded to make a completely sexist and disrespectful joke, "Last time I dated a girl, I changed my number too." The other guys in the back proceeded to laugh and cheered him on for a good joke. I was completely dumb struck by his immaturity and disrespect. Will not be supporting this business again!!! My car broke down on my way from Reno to Carson and I had to get it towed. I don't know anything about cars but I spent the next few days trying to google everything I could to figure out what was going on. I called some mechanics, they all said I probably blew my head gasket which would be incredibly expensive to fix. I thought for sure my car was toast. I took my parents car to autozone to pick up some coolant, just to fill up my car enough to get to the mechanic the next day. While at autozone, the guys working were so incredibly nice! They all told me to go home and get my car and bring it so they could take a look. I went and got my car, and I think the mans namewas Daniel? Who helped me. Not only did he spend time working in my engine, but he was explaining everything as he was going so that I could learn some things. He ended up fixing the problem, didn't charge me for anything other than the coolant I bought, and I was on my way! Being a young woman, going to the mechanic is usually a frustrating experience. I have been taken advantage before, where mechanics have told me things were broken that needed fixing, but when I got a second opinion it turned out they weren't broken after all. Staff were friendly and helpful at this location. The one associate even had a sense of humor when dealing with myself and the customer in front of me. I was disappointed that they were out of my normal oil filter but I was able to find a supplement that will still function the same. I stopped in on this visit because of their oil change special which was a good deal. From their normal price of a 5 quart jug, if you buy a filter it actually discounts the price to lower than what just the jug would cost. It's like getting paid to take an oil filter with your purchase...no problem with that! The real reason this place is always a cut above their competition is their rewards program, 5 $20 purchases and you earn a $20 store credit. And since their prices are comparable to other local stores the value can't be beat!! read more

I cannot throw enough stars at this place, and in particular, one of the employees there, named Alex! I was passing through town yesterday when I had a minor headlight issue that needed to be replaced before we continued on our way. I called a couple auto repair shops in the area, but every one of them needed 4-5 hours to find the part and then were going to charge at least one hour of labor. Now, I'm not going to say anything bad about those other shops, because I understand that they were busy and that we showed up with no appointment, but when I called up this AutoZone location, they were EXTREMELY helpful! Alex, the employee who helped us out, was not only friendly and knew exactly what I needed to fix the issue, he even stepped outside and helped us with a problem that should have been pretty simple, but that we had over complicated to the 'nth degree. I'll spare you the details, suffice to say that Alex was able to diagnose the problem and solve it in pretty short order, thus saving us having to drive an hour round trip to Reno to get it fixed. To top it off, I tried to throw him a $20 bill as a way to thank him for his time, and he just laughed and basically said that there was no way he was accepting my money for the help. Although I would have loved to have bought him a beer for all the time and stress he saved us, the dude was like, "Na man, this is just what I do." So alas, he saved us a lot of time and stress and wouldn't even accept a little under the table money... This is the second time I've been into an AutoZone (not in the same location), and both times I've received the absolute best customer service imaginable. I cannot recommend the place enough. Oh! And I don't know what they're paying Alex, but give that dude a raise! He's absolutely top notch! read more

I was in there yesterday 6/5/23 to get a new battery for my push start subie, well first off NOT like the key fobs with a key!! Sooo much more difficult. Gordon Steeve's helped me and explained what needed to be done, eather battery could be replaced or I'd have to get it reprogrammed at the dealership. Took him 15 mins to replace the battery cuzz it was such a hassle more like a puzzle to say the least. Mind you they dnt have to replace the battery for you, jst sell you it. Gordon did it with no problem. I am soo thankful cuzz I woodov gave up in 3 mins lol. It's so nice to have Gordon working at autozone. Such a nice and patient guy! I was just in there about 15 mins ago at the south carson store looking for a battery cable.... I was taken to the cable section which is great but the person helping me told me to look at them for a few minutes then walked away to help other customers when i was there needing help. I had alot of questions she asked one of the cashiers about it he just pointed at them and didn't even acknowledge me. She told me to just check the length of the cable then walked out of the store that was extremely rude and I've been going there since 2016. I'm sorry I was only spending about $10 for a cable but I'll be taking my business else where from now on. read more

Though the rating is low, I really love this AutoZone. However, my experience there on Saturday, May 15th was terrible. The parts supervision manager, Dave T was the rudest person I have ever encountered in my entire life. I was demeaned, laughed at, and mocked my this man while trying to buy myself some brakes. This store is lucky I stayed to make the sale because I was one snarky comment away from storming out. The best part is that I went in with all the correct part numbers and he proceeded to tell me I was wrong and not to tell him how to do his job. If you ever see this miserable man, find someone else to ring you up. But I would like to restate, this AutoZone has always been helpful. Recently went here to get a new battery. At first Lizbeth checked my battery and told me I needed a new one. Checked out with her and went to change it in the parking lot. Having a newer vehicle they make it harder and harder to get the batteries out of the vehicles. I went back in to ask for a little assistance and Lizbeth had left and I now was talking to Dave. Dave was beyond rude and had terrible customer service. Did not provide any help and just continued to talk down to me. Dave needs to be in the back stocking the store and away from any public interaction. I never write reviews unless the customer service is trash and that what it was. I want to give it 1 star but Lizbeth was nice and helpful so I'll give it 2. Definitely will not be coming back here. Just go across the street to O'reillys and spare yourself having to talk to Dave. read more

Awesome service! I had purchased a power steering pump over a year ago and ended up in a head on collision and never got to replace the part.
