I am a big fan of the Montrose Autozone. The staff members are always so helpful and knowledgeable, and give simple and useful advice.From buying a new battery to getting a new wiper blades, they are always polite and oftentimes come out to the parking lot to help me change a new light or take a look at my battery. I came one day to get a new battery and the guy told me that I would need to come back the next day because I needed a manager override for the swap. I uber the next day to do exactly what he said and the Hispanic woman that really didn't even help me, was so rude and disrespectful. Didn't even apologize that I was told the wrong information and wasted my money, and that I would have to come back, spending more money. She did not give a damn and it showed. THANKFULLY the manager John was kind enough to ask what was going on and allowed me to switch the batteries and bring my old one back and apologized for being told the wrong information. That is good customer service unlike the ugly woman. Even when John told her to do it, she still continued to be rude and had the balls to say in front Of me that people were being rude to her. No ma'am, you're the one who is rude as hell. I'm sure she gets a lot of complaints on her rude ass. Then come to find out, the guy I previously spoke to was a damn manager but was too damn lazy to help. If you're gonna be in the customer service business then you should at least try to provide some damn customer service, at the bare minimum some damn kindness and compassion. The staff here are just fantastic! I went in for a new battery, Maigen went outside with me to take a look at the old one. She then told me that it might be under warranty, so she went inside looked it up...then hooked me up with a brand new, free battery! She was gonna change it for me, but there was a part that needed to be fixed. But, Maigen didn't stop there, she recommended a shop right around the corner. She was so awesome, she took a situation that could've been stressful and actually made it fun (she's hilarious too)! Of course, then I needed a jump. Chris came to help me out, and gave me crucial information while doing so. These ladies were wonderful, and surprising didn't make me feel less like a man...I know very little about cars...don't judge me. I had to jump my battery and brought my car here afterwards to get it checked out. The service was free and quick to get my battery checked and since it was an old battery, I got it replaced there. In and out in around 15 minutes. Serviceman was nice and helpful. Price of the battery was about standard. read more

Went in first thing Monday morning to get a lightbulb for a brake light that went out over the weekend. They looked up which kind I needed very quickly and they even replaced the lightbulb in the parking lot for me. I was in and out in about 5 minutes. read more

These guys are going to get people killed. They sell parts to Jiffy Lube, where I took my car for service. Changing the brakes, should take 3 hours. Took 7 hours because of this Autozone. First, Jiffy Lube requests the parts, and Autozone sends them all but 1 part that is a key component that keeps the wheel from falling off. Thats 1.5 hours wasted. So Jiffy Lube requests it again, and AGAIN they don't send the part, which is ANOTHER 1.5 hours wasted. The brake technician working on my car is arguing with an Autozone employee about the part, where the brake technician says he needs it while the autozone guy says it isn't required. They argue back and forth and finally the genius (sarcasm) of the autozone employee decides to call the dealership, who confirm the part is required, even after the brake technician told him he needed a new one AFTER PULLING OUT THE OLD ONE. So guess what, ANOTHER 1.5 hours for them to deliver the part. 7 hours later my car was ready. That Autozone employee must've had a pretty big ego to argue with a brake technician. A faulty brake spells death for me and others on the road. These guys only know cars by a manual, and this 9-5 store employee who sits behind a counter has the audacity to argue with the brake technician who installed my brakes. Even the guys at Jiffy Lube told me that they will now go straight to the dealership instead of this sorry excuse for a automobile center. Take your car anywhere but here unless you want to die driving. These people have no idea what they're doing and thank God the brake technician argued with them or else I could have died on the way home. Who knows if this place has done this before or will do it again? Thats a persons life in their hands. Absolute joke of a business. Come here if you want to end up like Paul Walker. read more

I never knew how good this place was until my car started having problems. They are all SO helpful. One morning my car wouldn't start, and I had to call AAA to give it a jump. Later in the day I went to AutoZone to buy a new battery. The salesperson brought his battery checking machine (or whatever it's called) out to the car and, after testing it, told me it was 100% good, and that I didn't need a new one. Saved me a lot of money and pain. And it's still good six months later. Since then I've been going there occasionally to buy stuff, and every time I buy something they offer to show me how to use/install, etc. An excellent place for drivers who don't know much about cars! read more

Got to love these people. My other repair shop says over the phone, "Check engine light, sure, we can take a look at that while you wait.", but when I actually get there, they say $110 is the minimum diagnostic charge and you will have to leave it for at least 2 hrs and $100/hr plus parts after that. Thanks but no thanks! So I pass Autozone on the way home and see the "Free Computer Diagnosis" in the window. Pull in and five minutes later the cheerful girl at the counter has come out, hooked her computer up to my car, and announces "clogged EGR valve" and sells me the valve ($179) and gives me some hints on how to replace it. Easily saved me a couple hundred bucks and half a day. read more

I've had my "Check Engine" light and battery inspected here twice. They did both really quickly and gave me a couple of good suggestions on the computer codes for the "Check Engine" light. It may be hard to find parking if it's busy but there's a side street. read more

The folks here are always super friendly and helpful when doing minor repairs. One of them tried to help read the onboard computer on my buddy's '95 Celica, but they didn't have an OBD1 reader. Still, she had good recommendations on nearby shops that would have one. read more

Great customer service. My daughter's battery went bad. We jumped it and headed over to the montrose autozone. The service woman verified it was bad and cleaned the corrosion on it , took out the old battery and put a new one in. This all took about 20 minutes. She even put on the new wiper blades that we purchased there. read more

It's easy to worry you'll be taken advantage of when you're female and don't know much about cars. After doing some research on Yelp and on my car, I decided to head to this Autozone to get my windshield wipers replaced. The friendly staff member (unfortunately didn't catch his name) entered the make, model, and year of my car into the computer system and told me what size windshield wipers I needed and where to find them in the store. I asked him if he recommended a certain brand and he named one, which was neither the cheapest nor the most expensive. What he didn't tell me was that brand was also having a special: save $5 on two. He helped me find them in the aisle and then installed them for me at no extra charge. I was in and out within ten minutes. I tested my new blades on the way home -- what a difference! I love that Autozone is conveniently close to work & home & that they can order just about anything they don't have in stock. Their prices are appropriately competitive & they stay open late. This could be said for their other locations as well as some of their competitors. What makes this place stand out is the people operating it. This is a smooth running, busy operation with hard working, positive & super helpful employees! The employees are what makes your experience amazing or terrible. It's a given that if you're like many of their customers, you're probably not having your best day bc something has happened to cause you to replace a part of your transportation. To be helped by someone with genuine compassion & empathy & to even be able to give some positive input is far above & beyond the requirements of typical customer service. Last night I was helped by the tiniest young lady (don't let looks fool you- she was STRONG!). She had a natural ability to troubleshoot through a problem & prepare for possible culprits associated with my car problems. She did an awful lot to help & that goes a long way. This was as they were preparing for closing at 11 pm! And when I said that she must be exhausted, she cheerfully responded that she'll be off to her second job at a pharmacy! Obviously, she's working hard to supplement her income & working two jobs is her current solution. It's not my place to say, but I'll state the obvious anyway. Autozone, DO NOT RISK LOSING THIS ONE! She's management material & far worthy of a raise increase to a level that eliminates her need to supplement elsewhere. This employee's talent will certainly be recognized by her other job. Beat them to the opportunity to secure her position with attractive incentives beyond what may be offered elsewhere. Please...people around here seek out old fashioned service if we go to big name businesses. Montrose is made up of 'Mom & pop' small business owners. Don't let your higher volume sales fool you. I live a short distance from this AutoZone and I visit it regularly. They've saved me more than a few times when I've had a car in pieces and discovered I needed a new part or a tool to continue working. This place is always busy, especially in the summer, when the employees are busy replacing car many batteries. The best part about any AutoZone is the free tool rental. There are dozens of specialized tools that most people will rarely need, but are very expensive. At AutoZone you can put down a deposit, use the tool, then return it for all your money back. read more

A guy named Steve was quick to help me and a friend with his car. What I like most is that they won't just sell you something that's a bandaid to the problem to keep you coming back.
