I don't know when the shop changed management. But I recently (August 6th 2024) picked up my vehicle after getting a break line fixed. I paid $693.76 to have a the break line fixed. It took them 4 days to complete (after quoting 1 day) and the reasons for they delay were 1. they forgot to order the part and 2. they forgot to pick up the part. So ..... HERE'S THE KICKER - the next day my battery was drained. When I went to Sam's for a new one, the technician told me he found the break fluid cap bouncing around under the hood. My tire was low and Steve's was in the area where we live. I immediately went over and greeted courteously at the front desk. They were closing but attended to me very promptly. Plugged the tire and I was on my way. But this am the tire was on flat again! I called, spoke with Frank and he sent Jesus out within an hour or so just like he promised and provided some air. My family and I have been going to Steve's because they accept Exxon Mobile cards. The last few times I've gone they have told me that they're having issues with the machine. I went in today very early to get an oil change and inspection. My car was ready after a little over an hour (during this time the lady at the front desk continued to talk to me about Yelp reviews and asked if I know how to delete bad ones). I went to pay for my services with my Exxon card when the lady told me that their machine had been broken for over a month. She then told me that 1) my card didn't have any money on it (it's an Exxon credit card and the limit is certainly not maxed out) and then 2) she would call about the card at 9am (after I'd been there for 2 hours). I ended up having to leave for work but left my payment there for her to figure out. She calls me as soon as I get to work to tell me that management didn't pay to keep their contract with Exxon so I need to pay with a different card and then they'll restart the partnership when the manager gets back in town. I told her to give me a few hours and I will let her know what I want to do soon because I needed to get settled at work.. she told me that I had until 6pm to decide. She then calls me AGAIN around 12pm to tell me that she needs my payment asap because she's about to leave. I had her charge my other credit card, but seriously this is SO rude and unprofessional. They offered me no discount or anything for the inconvenience. Why do they have a massive sign on their door that says "we accept Exxon Mobile cards" if they don't? It was a horrible start to my week as I only go there because of this card. I will never go there again and will instead go to a more professional and affordable place next time. I told them I would never be coming back there and they didn't seem to care until I updated my Yelp review. They've been incessantly calling me from many different numbers (as I continue to block them) trying to offer me a discount to take down my review. read more

Don't go here for an inspection. I asked for a pre purchase inspection on a WRX and all they did was check the codes and give the car a once over. They completely missed low coolant levels, disconnected sway bar end links, water pump noise, among other small things. Totally disappointed with the lack of thoroughness. read more

The dude at the counter was a foreign dude and as I tried to pin him down on the price, he was ALL OVER THE PLACE, dancing this way, then that, telling me the only way to give me a good price was to put his computer on it, and then he refused to do that. Writing this review due to being completely taken a back by the service and how I was spoken to. After seeing all these reviews too.. this is very surprising and quite sad if you ask me. I have been noticing the roaring sound in my car when pressing breaks and know that means it is time for break pad replacements. I went ahead and stopped over to see how much they would be to replace. I am a student so knowing the price before servicing is very important. Lady at the front desk was pretty sweet and grabbed a service man by the name of "Frank" I kinda told him a small gist of the problem and said what's a BALLPARK figure for break pads. He then proceeded to start explaining how a full diagnostic would need to be done before hand by either him or another shop for safety (perfectly understandable), the cost for that was around $130 I believe and would have to be paid if services were not fulfilled at said location and well as "not providing an estimate due to prices being changed due to other things". Anybody in their right mind knows that an ESTIMATE or BALLPARK FIGURE is not the final total until everything is said and done. So being that I am a student, I once again said okay that makes sense, but do you not have a ballpark figure whatsoever... he said I do but basically will not give it and said "whenever you are ready you can come back" as he was walking off... I stood there confused for a second and said "i mean I am a student, I'm not just asking to ask". I personally don't care how well they work on cars, I would never recommend anyone to go there. I called and asked if they could check the work done on my car by another garage and provide documentation based off of a list I provided of what repairs had not been done and what it would cost to do them. They said no problem and that they would charge me $99 and would be done in a few hours. 7 hours later no call. I called them and they said they checked everything on my list and all of the work had in fact been done. When I pointed out an obvious discrepancy, they said they would call me back. Of course they never returned the call but when I came to pick up my car, the story changed and they decided NONE of the repairs had been done. That's a huge difference. I paid the $99 and asked for my written documentation, since that was the only reason I was there. The man told me they were closing and to Come back for it Monday. Of course I refused since it was literally THE ONLY REASON I WENT THERE and we discussed the importance BEFORE I brought my car in. He then went and sat on the computer for 20 minutes and returned with a sheet of paper that said "carpet fix". When I asked what happened to the rest of the checklist I gave him he said he would have to charge me $500-$600 more to do what they originally promised and agreed to. If you are a woman, they think you are stupid and a third class citizen. I'm positive the guy never even looked at my car but had no problem charging me for it. It was a quick, easy job but the lazy, half retarded slug couldn't swing writing a list but felt entitled to $100 of my money for doing nothing and trying to scam me even harder, meanwhile, some old woman who looked like an evil witch that might be the owner mean mugged me. Screw these charlatans. I went back to work after all of this and found out that a coworker had taken her car there the week prior and they shattered her windshield and refused to pay or fix it. HORRIBLE SERVICE I am not sure who they are paying to make 5 star reviews but this business is notorious for scamming people i.e women. (Just like they are doing on Yelp. If you scroll further, you'll find the real reviews) I took my car here to be serviced. The "new" water pump they installed failed and ruined my car entirely. Now my vehicle is not operable AT ALL and I have been out of a vehicle for 3 months. I trusted them with my car. I had it towed to them believing that they would fix the mistake but it was a waste! I spoke with the manager, he was not willing to fix the problem so I would just like for everyone to know how my experience was. Their services are not cheap either, so I would suggest dealing with a different mechanic entirely. NOT WORTH THE HASSLE or the operation of your vehicle. read more

First time customer and the experience was abhorrent. Never have I paid $98 dollars for an oil change for my 2012 Honda Civic at any auto shop. I specifically requested for regular. After my request, the technician who spoke with me said that I could expect between $38 or $92 dollars and that I would actually need a synthetic oil for my vehicle, which is false. I've had this car for 5 years and I've not needed to do synthetic before. The technician emphasized using a synthetic (I only found out after that they used MobileOne, a more costly option) and I agreed. I didn't think the invoice would cost an arm and a leg for a routine maintenance service. When the invoice arrived, the technician than tried to explain what happened and I received very poor customer service. They took $15 dollars off as an attempt to reconcile the situation and I informed them that I won't be returning for a second service. If you need a cost effective oil change with honest customer service, don't come here. There was also another very disgruntled customer who was also being serviced the same time I was there. read more
