I explained again that the dipstick was literally in her hand with the correct part number, and he still dismissed it, laughed, and repeated that I should call corporate. When he said he doesn't take parts off cars, I asked about batteries, and he added that they only help with the parts they feel like doing. If a salesperson can't value their customers--regardless of age or gender--then they don't deserve our business. I won't spend another dime here. Advance Auto and other stores consistently go out of their way to help, while this location has an employee who jokes around and refuses to assist a young girl simply because he "doesn't feel like it." When I pulled up I had a hard time finding anywhere to park because the lot was so crowded, but it was no big deal at first. I went in and told a man about the appointment I had made (2 days in advance mind you) and he told me with an attitude that it would be at least a few hours because they had no room in the garage. I said okay, thinking I really didn't have time because of work but whatever (hence making an appointment). Now I usually am pretty understanding but this is where it got ridiculous. The woman behind me in line (she also parked directly behind my car so I know I was there first) went to the desk and said she needed an oil change and something else done, no appointment. They took her keys no issue and one of the mechanics drove her car around. I was dumbfounded. Now maybe she was dropping the car off, but it didn't seem like it. It all felt incredibly wrong to me that she was taken care of no issue and I was met with a stupid look for questioning why I couldn't get in at my scheduled time. Beyond all of that, it took me about 10 minutes to leave because of cars parked behind me and having to slowly maneuver around a disorganized mess of cars. If you want friendly, organized service that sticks to their word, I would go somewhere else.

The most troubling issues were the complete lack of communication, accountability, and basic care or consideration for the customer. Your business exists because of the service you provide--services that can easily be completed by many other shops in the Dayton Metro area. This experience made it clear that this establishment prioritizes its bottom line over its customers. Following an oil change, I was informed of a concern that required additional service. I had to call multiple times just to receive follow-up on a recommendation that your service department identified. After finally reaching an agreement, I was told the repair would take approximately 8 hours. We agreed that my vehicle would be dropped off on Tuesday (with Thursday, January 1 being a holiday, which was completely understandable). I dropped my vehicle off early, on Monday evening, ahead of the agreed date. It was also clearly communicated--and confirmed--that if my vehicle was not completed on time, I would be provided transportation for my wife the following week. Tuesday passed. Wednesday passed. Friday passed. By Monday evening at 5:40 p.m., I had still received zero communication. I called the service department and was placed on hold for 18 minutes. When I finally spoke with someone, I was given a series of excuses: the holiday, the mechanic becoming ill, partial work being done over the weekend, and that the job was "about 60% complete." When I asked about the agreed-upon transportation, I was told, "I'm not sure what you want me to do--we're about to close." After reminding the representative that I was told transportation would be provided, I was met with frustration and comments about how long he had been working that day. This response was unacceptable--especially considering I had been awake since 3:30 a.m. for work myself. Eventually, I was provided a vehicle with obvious suspension issues. I did not complain and simply moved forward. The following Tuesday passed with no update at all, despite being told this was an 8-hour job that was already 60% complete over a week earlier. By Wednesday afternoon, still having received no communication, I came in person to inquire. Neither owner was present, and when we went to the service department, my vehicle conveniently was suddenly "ready for pickup." What I expressed then--and what remains my core concern--is this: As a customer, I am not allowed to pay when I feel like it, nor can I be even one cent short on payment. So how is it acceptable for the company to deliver service whenever it feels like it, with no communication, no accountability, and no regard for the customer's time? The answer seems clear: because you can--and because the message being sent is that if a customer doesn't like it, they don't have to return. Pics are attached of the small crack before, and then the spreading crack immediately after. I was going to just suck it up and replace the windshield but that doesn't sit right with me that I paid full price for them to damage my windshield further. It was rattling and I could hear wind coming in through the passenger side. I had to go to the store so that they could look at it. They found nothing wrong. After that visit, I was able to get video of the noise coming from the windshield, and took my car back again. That time, they said that some clips were loose, and they were able to fix it. Unfortunately, the noise from the windshield continued. I called to let them know that I was still having problems and the person I spoke with on the phone said that I had a second full windshield repair, which I definitely had not. I had gotten a text from Safelite, informing me of service completed, on a day that I most definitely did not have my car there. I figured they just mixed up a phone number. But no, they actually tried to say that I got my windshield replaced twice. The glass chipped in less than four months. The entire experience was absolutely horrendous. My windshield never was installed properly, I was told I received more service than I did and now it's chipped too.
