WOW WORST OF THE WORST... GM & corporate please look into your associate Emily. Opens my package and says it's been open we cannot issue you a refund. I told her didn't you just open it? She was very rude and belligerent. This person is a perfect example of horrible customer service. I rarely voice my opinion on retail but I had to let it be known. Then she tells me I can issue you a store credit... and I asked to speak to a manager and she takes the anger and frustration out on me and then denies the store credit because she said I have open the package when she opened it right in front of me. False misleading information and full of lies. EMILY please take this into consideration you are a employer to a retail establishment customer service should come first. Around 2 months ago I went to this location and was treated with rudeness coupled with an unsavory attitude by the female manager. When I asked one of the other employees about it, they chuckled and said, "That's how she is." I didn't report anything at that time, but instead I decided I wouldn't go this this location anymore. Today, 9/3/19 circumstances made it necessary for me to return to the Imperial AZ. I walked in, and was greeted with their usual welcome. However, I stood at the counter longer than necessary while Letty (an employee) engaged in a conversation with another person and it didn't sound like AZ business to me. Even if it was she could've pardoned herself and not just let me stand there. I asked if they would check my battery and alternator. Letty told me that the battery tester wasn't working, and if I wanted the alternator checked I'd have to remove it and bring it in. This was strange to me. I called another AZ and they told me that all AZ locations check alternators while they are attached to the car. He asked me where I was and when I told him he said, "Oh. The employees there are lazy and probably don't want to do the work." I asked Letty again, telling her what the AZ employee from the other location said. She insisted that THEY DO NOT check alternators while they are installed. She went to the back of the store and asked her manager, Lorenzo (?) if they checked alternators while on the car. He said no. I asked to speak to Lorenzo the manager, Again I had to wait for minutes. He finally came out with an offensive posture and rude waspy behavior. He acted like he didn't care to help me. When I asked him how I could contact his superiors he said,"You can get it over there on the door. Pointing as if to say get out of here. So, I got the information I wanted and left for another location. When the AZ employee from the other location came out to test my battery and alternator he used the same tester. So, I can see if the tester goes out one would have to remove the alternator and take it in. I understand that. if Letty and/or Lorenz would've texplained that to me I would've said thank you and left. What bothered me are the attitudes of Letty, Lorenzo and the other manager who was off today. What kind of training are you giving your employees AZ? Or, is it because of the location that you send the worst of your employees there? I don't know. Maybe it's my looks. Perhaps they don't like the sound of my voice. However! Someone from corporate needs to school these employees on being courteous and give them customer service training. It's sad that people like Letty, Lorenzo and the other manager (whose name I don't have) are giving the Imperial location a bad name. Andres, the store manager, and Melvin, were both awesome in helping me change my car battery! Melvin was super patient with me even when I showed up not knowing what to do and showed me where to unscrew each bolt to get my battery out. Andres took over at one point and told me where I needed to replace a battery terminal and how easy it would be to do by myself. They were super awesome and probably saved me a ton of money since I would have never guessed the loose terminal was causing my car problems with starting. Highly recommend! read more

Driving from the city of Fullerton BLACKOUT and cars were honking at our van. We looked and saw our rear break-lights and license plate lights were out!!! Drove to the nearest AUTO ZONE. I called to see if anyone can help me install the lights and WITHOUT HESITATION CRYSTAL THE STORE MANAGER said to park our van in front and right when we got there we saw CRYSTAL AND KYLE out the door checking to see if I was the one that called in for help... Unfortunately, This review is a complaint, but only against one single employee name, SEDEE (spelling may be incorrect, only because she lied, and said her name was "Stacy") Yes, I am complaining NO customer service skills!! AND,A LIAR! My unbelievable experience happened a few days ago, when I went in to purchase a simple light bulb for my headlamp. Sedee proceeded to scroll through numerous options with huge differences in price range, then without any explanation in the difference of the product, she immediately asked, " Okay, so which one do you want?" I replied, " I'm in the medical field, I have no idea what the difference is?? "Obviously, there's a huge difference in price, can you please explain the difference?" She answered very rudely, "Obviously, the most expensive is brighter, and the least is basic" Well, obviously I'm not in the Autozone, how obvious is to me? I let her know I'm a long time customer for years, asked her to check my history , maybe I've purchased one in the past? She immediately refused, insisting they would not keep that info. All awhile being extremely rude with an attitude! I told her she was being rude! She's argued back, said, I was being rude, and maybe I was having a bad day! So unprofessional!! I replied back, No, your being rude! She then, opened her arms very widely, yelling loudly, referred to other customers in the store, and another sales associate Yelled, " EVERYONE ELSE DOESN'T THINK I'M BEING RUDE!" I was appalled, and in shock leaving me speechless! The other associate was kind enough to intervene, asking if he can help me? Sedee loudly said, I AM THE MANAGER! Again, unbelievable! I then asked her name? She lied said her name was "STACY" Needless to say, I directed my compliant to the regional manager, including the store manager,Crystal. Crystal very kindly apologized for this horrible encounter. BTW, went in yesterday, saw Sedee again she laughed and smirked at me, that is when I complained to Crystal Shedee will not stop me from shopping at this store. I normally don't leave reviews but when I get excellent service heck why not. Today I came from work and someone honked behind me and said hey I can hear your brakes they need to be checked. I called jiffy lube because I know they provide free services on a lot of things, and this location popped up on google. So I called and asked if they could tell me if I needed brakes or not and he said sure, we are slow right now so bring it in and we will give you a free brake inspection. I called Chevy and asked does my warranty cover my brakes before I went in and they said no but if I bring it in with my own brakes it shouldn't be over 250. I finally got to jiffy lube and met Erik he walked through the prices with me and told me the benefits of each package, and quoted me the difference if I bought the brakes with the package or my own. I was happy he did as my mechanic gave me his extra brakes and I bought the front ones from auto zone and I was able to get the most savings. Really appreciated the fact that Erik was upfront with me by letting me know that since I brought my own brakes there 12,000 mileage warranty would be nulled, but that didn't apply to me. The reason I really enjoyed the service was because I told them how much Chevy quoted me and they beat their rate by 20$ each axle, and took care of me, only took about 2 hours or so, and they allowed me to go out get the brakes while they took care of the rotors so it wasn't really time consuming and Erik really educated me about my brakes so I appreciated that a ton. Timothy also came right behind him and got into the gritty details on what was wrong and together they explain to me when I should change my brakes, how I can check them, and made sure my experience as a whole was 5 star. Honestly I wasn't impressed. Walked in on a Friday night . Few people in line but no big deal. I was greeted by one cashier who said he would be right with me. Waited in line for a few minutes and another guy walks up with bad attitude and says... Yes. I told him I was looking for snow chains and he acted as if I was bothering him . He started typing up something on the computer and asked for my tire size . I told him I wasn't sure my tire size but I had my car out front. He refused to come out side and look for me. I am a female but I am not stupid. I can read the numbers on my tire but I wasn't sure exactly what numbers he needed . He was not helpful at all. I came here to auto zone looking for help and he refused . Poor customer service. Ended up walking out with no help from him and went to O Reilly's read more

I stopped in her on 9/16/15 around 6pm. Kinda busy so I decided to look for replacement headlight lamps on my own, in which they had a book to look up year, model, and make. I found what I needed and had a staff nearby so I asked if this was the correct part. He doubled checked and confirmed what I needed with additional options which was great customer service. Upon check out I figured it was an easy install, in which the employee followed me out to help insure the replacement lamp went in correctly. Not going to lie, a little more extensive than I thought it was going to be. I wish I had paid more attention to his name to reference here. Today I went into Auto Zone in La Habra to change the brakes on my girlfriends 2002 Volvo S60. I had changed brakes in Toyotas and Chevys but never a German made vehicle. I got to work and it started off terrible. I went in and asked for help and the first person to help me was Devon. He was super friendly and on top of his game. He showed me the correct tools to use and walked me through it. If it wasn't for him I never would have been able to complete it. He was a complete God send. Right around the time I finished the driver side tire, Devon took off for the day and I still needed a little help for the passenger side. That's when Andres stepped up to the plate. He guided me through the second brake and we got it finished in the time I needed it to be done. Without these 2 men I don't think I would have been able to do it. I HIGHLY recommend this store to anyone that might need a little direction on what they're working on. Next time I have to work on a vehicle I will be back at Auto Zone at that exact location. read more

I was concerned my battery wasn't going to last and make it to Autozone but when I entered the store I was quickly greeted by Aj Jimenez. He asked what I needed and came outside right away to check out my car battery. Tested it and let me know it was a bad battery. I then also asked to please check my alternator to make sure I didn't have an issue with that as the other Autozone said it was my alternator. I came to the La Habra on Imperial Hwy to get a second opinion. I'm glad I did, because it was my battery that was the problem! Not the alternator! Aj did a test to see if it was my alternator and the other lady from the other Autozone was wrong! Luckily my warranty covered for a replacement battery. Aj was kind enough to install it but he got busy with another customer. The store manager Crystal E. came out and did the install instead. She did a great job and even cleaned off some corrosion from the connection. She did it quickly and cleanly. Great customer service! read more

I purchased snow tire chains here a year ago. I never had to use them until the other day. It's mandatory to carry chains in your car during winter months if you go to mountains. I went to Big Bear a couple times last year and snow chains were never required on. This past weekend I went to Big Bear and Lake Arrowhead and the weather was pretty wild lots of rain and snow. Chains were not required the day we went up but were required the next day. Well when we checked out of our lodging the front desk said chains were required. I had a hard time placing the chains around the tires, so I ended up hollering at one of the chain installers to do it at a $40 cost. He said they didn't fit because they were the wrong size, they were too small for our size tire. I ended up paying this guy $160 for his chains and tensioners that did fit my tires. I looked at the case of the tire chains I purchased at Autozone and my size tire was not listed on the side. I remember when I went to purchase the chains I had my car with me and asked for the right size. The workers didnt even bother looking at the exact tire size, they just grabbed the case of chains and told me they were the right size for my suv. BUYER BEWARE THE WORKERS HERE ARE NOT VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE OR THEY'RE VERY LAZY. Imagine if I was in a situation where I couldn't obtain chains or if I didn't have the money to pay for chains in the mountains? I'd be SOL and I'd probably have to wait until Spring to come down. The chains cost me $70 at Autozone. AUTOZONE COST ME $230 ($70 for the chains that did not fit and $160 for the new chains). I will no longer shop at this AUTOZONE or any other AUTOZONE. Do not trust the workers here always look at the packaging yourself, to double check. read more

Like the other reviews said rude customer service by the manager Tim the older guy with tattoos. I went in to purchased a oil pan gasket for my car and I notice grease all over the box and the box was resealed with scotch tape. I opened the box and there was the gasket shoved inside the box. I tooked the gasket out and it was obviously used and returned. I asked for a new one and Tim immediately started to argue with me. He replied saying it was never opened because Items with a warranty cannot be returned. He was very unprofessional and rude. I will not come back to is location until he is terminated!! They were very helpful in directing me to another Autozone in Anaheim that had a few. I decided to get a second opinion and took it to O'Reilly to get checked. They fully re-charged it, ran tests and told me it was in perfect working condition, FOR FREE! O'Reilly saved me $236!!! read more

This is the worst store for calling an asking a question. My husband called for a price on a battery for a motorcycle. He was on hold for 10 min the first time but was disconnected. He called back again and he spoke to a guy named Leo, Leo said he was going to check price range and come back in a min. HE NEVER CAME BACK, he put us on hold for over 30 min. We were on hold long enough to drive down there while still on hold. You could hear the phone beeping and them ignoring it. My husband tells LEO he is the guy on the phone. LEO FLAT OUT LIES and says he answered our question, but if he did then why were we still on hold while standing right in front of him. This guy is a joke. Stood in line for 15 min for 2 items and ended up leaving them cause I was still just waiting. 1 guy who was helping people who kept adding more and more things taking their sweet time and other guy was helping a lady who had an issue with her payment and had to leave so instead of helping next in line he starts answering phone and looking up items. Slough this is just another Autozone, the staff was friendly. They were understaffed when I came in as there were only two employees working, but that is just a reflection if the economy/poor management. The young woman working at the front seemed to actually know what people were talking about and did her best to get parts for customers in a timely manner-in addition to being able to distinguish two similar parts for a vehicle. read more
