I had a very disappointing experience at AutoZone while trying to return a vehicle part that was under warranty and either get a replacement or a refund. Earlier in the week, I came into the store and the staff members wearing red shirts were friendly and helpful. They advised me to come back on Friday morning when the supervisor would be available to assist me with the warranty claim. When I returned as instructed, the experience was completely different. Instead of receiving help, the manager/supervisor became rude, raised their voice, and yelled at me while I was simply trying to resolve the warranty issue. I followed the directions given by the store staff and expected professional customer service, not to be treated disrespectfully. The employees I spoke with earlier in the week were courteous and helpful, which makes the supervisor's behavior even more disappointing. No customer should be yelled at for asking about a warranty replacement or refund. I hope AutoZone addresses this issue and provides additional customer service training to its management team. Based on this experience, I am very dissatisfied with how I was treated. read more

Located next to Taco Bell on Centennial, I've gone here for a few years now and I've never had a bad experience. I just look up the part I need on their website and see whether its available or not. If so, the store is laid out for the novice shopper so it is pretty easy to find what you need. If not, the staff are pretty helpful. I went in today to pick-up a pair of headlight bulbs for my old 2001 4-Runner. There was exactly one left like the website said. I was able to make my purchase and got the military discount they offered. When I got home, I just looked up how to replace the bulbs using YouTube. Since I bought my 4-Runner, the models have changed enough where it is safer to review the video before replacing the bulbs. Key is to wear thin layer gloves or surgical gloves before changing the bulbs since the oil from your fingers can reduce the life of the bulb almost immediately. In all, it took me only 5 minutes to change both bulbs. Save a bundle compared to having someone do it in the shop. read more

HORRIBLE service! I went in to see if I can get a diagnostics check on my car after taking it to a dealership because they told me my battery would die in a week (and of course I wanted to get a second opinion). I went in and ELVIS (the Manager) assisted me. I asked him right away if I can get a diagnostics check because the dealership said I needed a new battery. Instead of saying ok, he says to me 'well if the dealership already said that, why do you need a diagnostics check?' so i irritatedly responded with 'Because I don't believe the dealership.' So he then insists that we check in the system if my battery is under Autozone's records. Nothing, so after about 5 minutes, he only then gets ready to go outside to help. He took his time putting on his coat, a rubber apron..... THEN another lady comes in, asked another guy behind the counter for a diagnostics check and THAT GUY instantly grabs the tools for it and starts walking out the door. ELVIS then asks him if he can do mine too! HOW LAZY ELVIS!! I was completely pissed off by this time but at least Cesar was extremely helpful and did my diagnostics test after helping the other lady. I wouldn't come here if my battery actual died right next to them! I would walk the distance to O'Reilys off Losee. read more

Been here several times and it has been hit or miss. The misses. For every Auto Zone employee that knows their stuff, you will have another not knowing a damn thing! One time I came in needing an oil filter for my 2004 Toyota Corolla. The one sales associate looked up the part number, went down one of the aisles, and handed me the oil filter. Great service I thought but when I got home to install it in my car, I noticed the one I pulled out looked nothing like the then new I got. Turns out the new filter was for a Camry. So I went back and got the correct one by double checking the oil filter parts directory that they had in that same aisle. Damn that was such a hassle to come back. Another time I needed a cabin filter for my 2012 Hyundai Sonata so I called them on the phone to see if they had any in stock. The guy I talked to said they had them there so off I went. As soon as I got there and asked for my filter, another guy that didn't talk to on the phone informed me that the filter was not an on the shelf item meaning it has to be special ordered. Come on man! Why didn't you guys tell me that on the phone? Turns out the guy I talked to was "New". Still though, that doesn't give you a good excuse to give out bad service. So I ordered it and waited for them to call. The Hits. The battery for my Corolla was dead one time so it wouldn't start. Took my battery here and they tested it. The results were that I had a good battery still and that my alternator was probably shot. So a few days later I brought my alternator in to have them test it and yes, the test revealed that the alternator was bad. They had one on the shelf ready to go so I was a happy camper that day. One of the headlights for my Corolla went out so I went to go get another light to replace it. The guys behind the counter recommended I change my headlights as a pair because more than likely the other one was gonna go out shortly after. I thought that they just wanted me to spend more money so I said no thanks, this one will do. A month later, just like they said, the other light went out. So from that point on, I knew to change any headlights as a pair when any one of them burned out. So you see, my experiences here at this location is 50/50. Not sure if its a training thing or just a lazy employee thing but if these guys ever want to have any good consistency than they definitely need to work on it. I went to return a part that I didn't use. This part was selected by one of the staff. I returned it outside of the 90 day window and I didn't have a receipt anyway. However, due to the amount of business I have given them over the years, I at least expected them to provide an even swap or a significant discount for the right part which I suggested to them. Most businesses I deal with would have worked with me rather than risk losing a customer over an inexpensive part. Not this store. They only offered 10% off which I would have gotten regardless. They couldn't even find the proper part again and the supervisor had to get involved to find it. They wouldn't take any responsibility for providing the wrong part and I now regret ever going there at all over the years. I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

My car battery died, so I stopped in here to get a replacement. We stood in line for 20 mins with five people behind us and the employee takes a guy from the back of the line who just walked in. Wtf. So then They told me they cannot find my car in the system so I had to bring the battery back. I drive home get the battery and come back for them to tell me oh we can't search for a battery that way only with the car which isn't coming up. So he was gonna ask someone else. So now 2 employees are just standing around staring at us. Needless to say we left and went to O'reilly's. Which immediately pulled up my car and got me a battery in 5 seconds. read more

I had to replace my car battery after it died. We went to this location because it's closest to our house. Thank goodness that I still had some time left on my 2 year warranty! Harold and Joe took great care of us and I had a new battery in my car in less than an hour as they fit you in between other customers who need services, too. I came in here on a Sunday. Service was good, Jordan was a very good help for me and he was super honest and such a sweet soul. The manager in the store at the time of the evening was a guy named Christian who've I've never recalled seeing there before but as I was saying, Jordan helped find the parts I was looking for and while he was trying to focus. His own coworkers were acting very inappropriately around him and he was trying to address them to relax and be respectful but it only seemed to continue. I felt so bad for the young man as I was with my father who was even more disappointed in the way they acted. He kindly respected Jordan for trying to address the issue of having respecting customers when they're in the store. Thank you again Jordan for your kind hospitality and genuine manners. I went into get some knobs for my AC. I walked around the store for a few minutes unable to find them. When I asked the gentleman at he counter he insisted they did not sell them. I let him know their website indicated they were in the store. A woman behind he counter overheard me and led us to them. I got the sense the guy was pretty new and the lady seemed like a manger. These people here at this location are always making up new rules and policies. I swear! Every time I come in! One will say one thing and then later the other will say "who said that? Trying to get them in trouble! The autozones where I'm from always take care of people. I'm always having to fight for them to take care of me for the stupidest things. I'm absolutely disgusted with their service and if it weren't for all my warranties, I'd be shopping elsewhere. I used to love autozone. Now I hesitate to shop here every time! Always giving people bad advice like they know what they are talking about. I mean some do but hearing the ones that don't give bad advice or bad service in front of me makes me sick. NEVER EVER EVER USE THIS LOCATION!!! To try and make a long story short, my sister, accompanied by her two small children, took her car in to see if they could help get her check engine light off. After one of the store employees did some things with the car, it wouldn't start. The car was running before he touched it, but suddenly wouldn't afterwards. He insisted it wasn't his problem and tried to sell my sister (who is a single mom of 3) the most expensive battery he could find. By the time all of this had transpired, it was pitch dark outside and near closing. My sister and her kids were balling their eyes out, stressed, hot, and tired. My sister insisted on buying a cheaper battery that would get her along until she could afford better. But nope! This guy (his name was odd, something like Thirstlen- you'll know when you see it) and another employee (a tan, dark haired, heavy set guy) kept trying to sucker her into spending money she couldn't afford as her children cried and begged to get out of the heat and get some food. They insisted that a cheaper battery wouldn't fit- which was a lie. It took my sisters father driving 35 minutes across town for these employees to stop bullying my sister and allow her to buy the cheaper battery. Hours and hours later my sister finally left that autozone parking lot.. exhausted both mentally and physically.. read more
