Came back to get a lug removed that was obviously stripped next day I go back to change my breaks and another one is completely stuck on the other wheel to where my own impact can't even get it unstuck. Beware! This place takes advantage of the elderly. They are crooks! My dad is 82 a cancer patient , Ted charged my dad thousands of dollars for work that wasn't done and work that was incomplete. Hoses not reattached, screws not tightened. 1,100 hundred dollars to replace valve cover gasket all they did was put silicone around it and it's still leaking! Lucky I came into town and looked at all the subpar work. How do u not put parts back together correctly! So beware of this place, no respect for cancer patients, no respect for the elderly ,no respect for a retired police officer! BEWARE RIP-OFF SHOP Please beware of the predatory practices of this shop. My experience was awful. My car malfunctioned close to this shop which left me hoping for the best with no other real choice but this shop. I needed a new alternator and what goes along with it. I left the car there for repairs and was contacted and informed by the service writer that my battery was bad. I denied replacing it as I had a warranty at the parts store. They quoted the charge to install a battery $99. Laughable to charge to install a battery after I was already being overcharged for the repair I needed. Worse that they knowingly tried to sell a battery that was not needed. Then contacted again about a water pump they were looking at and quoted around $400 in labor to replace it. They had charge me the labor to get to the alternator which had already exposed the water pump. $400 for what exactly. I obviously denied that recommendation as well. They called and tried to tell me my car needed an additional $1100 in repairs in total for bogus labor and parts I didn't need. I was already paying over $800 for an alternator repair. A $220 alternator they sourced from Autozone. Let that sink in. At this point I only wanted what I needed to get my car out of this shop. Upon picking the car up I noticed that my window controls were not operational. I went directly to Autozone to test the battery they claimed was bad. Not to my surprise it was good. However the alternator they just installed failed the test. I went back to them where they gaslit me and told me it was fine. After insisting pulled my car back in the bay for 10 minutes to appease me and told me it was ok. My radio was powering off and my window controls were not working (showing an electrical issue). Likely because they didn't reset my Body Control Module by simply disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. I ended up taking the car to a different Ted Weins location and had them check the alternator, not telling them the other location just installed it days prior. Unsurprisingly they said it was bad. Providing a receipt from their scanning tool to prove it was bad. The shop I ended up at did replace it using the warranty. They did install it properly and now my windows and radio are operational. At the shop on Craig the service writers and the manager are there to over charge, they do not do quality work and if you can prove the work is done poorly they will lie to your face. I have proof of the bad part and my invoice will tell you all you need to know about the price gouging. Please take your business elsewhere. You will be ripped off. I made an appointment to have my oil changed at 9am. I get there in time with my vehicle and check in, get something to eat and receive a text message that my vehicle is being brought in (I can see my car across the street and no it was not brought in). it is now 9:30am and my car still hasn't been moved. I proceed to walk inside and ask the clerk why my car hasn't moved like the text said. He responded, "We don't have any available lifts due to previous appointments". So why book my appointment for 9am then. My car was brought in at 9:49am - almost an hour when it could have been done. I came here a while back with my 2018 Thor Fourwinds 23u to have a check engine light looked at and my oil changed, and to put air in my tires. They eventually told me I needed to replace the spark plugs, and at the time I had some as I was going to attempt to change them on my own when I felt confident. The plugs I purchased from Auto Zone were checked by 2 people so I could ensure they were the correct ones, once before, and once after the service when I checked up on this situation with Ted Weins. Upon getting the RV back the light was off, but 2 seconds after driving off their lot it came back on. They came out did something on the computer, said it was fine and sent me on my way. I got 35 mins away, only for the light to come back on, and when I checked the tires there was actually metal showing on one. So noticable that its clear that they didn't even look at the tires. Like at fkn all because if they had, they legally could not have let me drive off their lot with my tires like that because if something happened and I wasn't notified, they'd be liable.I brought it back and had to leave it again. They then told me it was the spark plugs, charged me for that service again, and guess what, that still wasn't the actual problem. After feeling like it was shady af for them to charge me twice for the same service I called 3 For dealerships with service areas attached, one guy said he would be tryna fight the manager. So after all of this, them not looking at my tires, but Chris almost insisting they did, then him insisting he told me that is there was an issue with the spark plugs it would be on me. When I live in my RV and I in this economy I'm not fkn around and finding out about anything that has to do with my living situation. If the dude had said there was a chance my plugs wouldn't work (which wasn't even actually the problem) and the computer would have told them that, but I was told their manager Ryan was on vacation at the time, so instead of having me wait, they bullsh*tted around and made me pay for it. THEN INFORMED me of the situation with the manager, THEN tested it properly. In the middle of this they called me and said, "it's your catalytic converter" I replied, "how often does one need those replaced?" Chris said, "never" I said, "okay, well I got it from you, so any issues with you yall should handle" he said, "oh really! Okay I'll call you back" Never head about the catalytic converter again. At the end, the manager was finally able to hook up some computer to the RV and see the codes and determine the issue had nothing to do with the spark plugs. They had the RV a while, and couldn't determine the issue. Then, supposedly, another RV with, "the exact same issue" came in, and they used that RV to diagnose what they think is actually wrong. (no they didn't check a fkn thing) Then said it would cost $10,000 and they'd take the $650 they double charged me off of this total. Even if I was willing to take that information as gold and move forward getting it fixed, I absolutely would not give this place $10 fkn thousand dollars given my whole experience. Yall hearing how shady af this place sounds. Paying an extra $650 still has me in a chokehold given the time and it's so fucked up because that $650 could have easily gone to me figuring out the actual problem with my house, so I can keep moving forward. I still go there because it's the only place in town I can get my RV smogged with the check engine light on so I can continue to fkn live. Spending almost $2000 to NOT fix the RV, having the dealerships telling me what they're doing at Ted Weins isn't right. That they at least owe me my money back for charging me for the same service twice. That I should dispute the charge with the card company and simply fight them until the end. I guess I'm starting with this review. I also guess I have a year to either figure out the actual issue, or take them to small claims court. I want to remind you that customer service doesn't matter if their stabbing you in the fkn back while smiling in your face. read more

Went here due to it having decent reviews but will not be going back. Went in for some maintenance to get done and even though it all got done fine enough so far (time will tell how good the quality of the work is). I don't like trying to be sold new ball joints for $2,000. Went home and jacked the truck up and there was no movement whatsoever... not a fan of shops that lie. Also, part prices are double the price here compared to the same parts from Oreillys or Auto Zone. 2/10 do not recommend. I'm very happy with the service I was provided! I went in for a standard oil change, but thanks to the inspection they performed they were able to find some urgent repairs needing to be made. I put down a deposit so a part could be ordered, but unfortunately a few days later I was in an accident and my car was totaled. They were very responsive and sympathetic, helping me with a refund on my deposit. I walked in expecting an argument over money, but Kabrina had everything lined up and the refund went smoothly. THANK YOU!! The staff that I interacted with during my visits were friendly, caring, and respectful of my time and money. 2015 Hyundai sonata I asked for a quote to replace an alternator Scott said he would call me back with a price and never called me back. So I called back the next day and and Scott again said he would call me back with a quote. This time Scott called me back 30 mins later and quoted me 1250 for an alternator replacement. I asked how much was labor and how much was parts Scott told me 280 for labor 970 for parts. That's more than double what an alternator costs at auto zone or O Riley auto parts. I know for a fact that the shop gets its parts cheaper than a customer can but to charge over double is ridiculous. Scott said if I bought the part myself they could replace the part but now instead of 280 for labor it would be 320 with no warranty. So on top of trying to charge me over double for the part your going to hike up the labor 40 dollars from what you quoted originally. Sounds like robbery to me I can no longer bring my business here. I had a nearly flat tire and little time to have it fixed the after I arrived No doubt about it, I went to the back of the line and waited a long time. Well, they found a cut along the side of the tire and my lug lock or lug itself was a problem. In any case, they sold me a tire at a good price. How bad can an oil change place be, really? Let me tell you, I am not impressed with the service here at Ted Wiens. My husband has been in here before for an oil change, and didn't have any issues, so we decided on Monday morning to bring the car up for a quick oil change before running the rest of our errands for the day. We arrived at about 7:25, and asked for an oil change, an oil filter, and an air filter change. We were told it would be about an hour and a half to 2 hours before it was done. Kind of a long time, but ok. There were people there ahead of us, not a huge deal. We decided to take a walk down to subway for some food. We were back by 8:45 am, and our car still had not been taken back. Meanwhile, people who had clearly arrived after us were leaving, the work done on their cars. Finally, at 10:15, I asked the girl working if she knew if we were close to done or not, since we had been there nearly 3 hours. With zero sense of urgency, she wandered back and talked to someone briefly, coming back to say they were backing the car out now. We asked if the reason it took so long was because we had dropped the car off and left. She said "I have no idea" and made no further attempt to find out. When we were finally rung up, my husband asked if they remembered to change the air filter like he had asked. Nope. Completely disregarded the fact that we had asked. So tack on an extra 5 minutes while they changed the filter. We received, what I felt, was a pretty hollow apology, and a ton of excuses. $89 later, at 10:45am, we were finally able to go about the rest of our day. Listen. I realize that not everyone's time is as important to you guys as cops are. (Cops get served first, btw, no matter what. I kind of get it, but when you have someone who has been waiting for 3 hours...finish their work first, then help the cop.) Not everyone has an entire day to waste sitting around waiting for you to finish their car. And just because someone chooses to leave for 45 minutes/an hour to get food, that doesn't mean that they have all day. At the very least, let people know that if they leave, it will take longer. The guy who helped us said as I was leaving "Oh we do appointments, and you can go ahead of everyone." Not based on some of the reviews I see here. I will NOT be back here, and will most definitely not recommend this spot. read more

I will not be going back. I made an appointment for tires. Showed up early and then received a text that the tech Thad began work so I went and got lunch across the street and took my time and came back an hour and 20 min later and my car was still where I parked it with donut on and no new tires. I asked the guy and he said it was only checked in. (Not what text msg stated) I waited a little longer then had to tel them to reschedule because I needed to pick up my kids. The guy fussed at me and said I should've been here sooner. I did not like the attitude remarks. I had an appointment and I used to be a tire tech I know it does not take 2 hours to put on 2 tires. He made me feel comfortable enough to walk in and have him guide me in selecting what was best for me. He printed out specs on different tires for a clear comparison. Took my car to this location , Jabar took my keys asked what the problem was, I told him "my AC and Heater are not working at all, I need them fixed!" He checked it said yea it isn't even blowing air , but wwe will see what's wrong and fix the problem.. 2 1/2 days later and a $185 car rentaL later they tell me ok it's alll fixed you can coMe get your car. $975 later I go pick it up at 5:40 pM, turn heater on becAuse I'm m obviously not gonna use the ac at that time and it woRks. Next day after work I turn ac on and what do you know I it's blowing warm air.. would not get cold,, I call talked to scott and says that's weird , bring it In and we will see what happened and make sure we fix this . 1 hour later , I get a call telling me it's going to cost me another $211 to add Freon and check for a possible leak.. now I'm pissed beCause I just spent about $1000 just to get cAr fixed and now they want to tell me this has to be done!!!!! I ask to speak t the manager, they put this veryy nasty rude or person Brian on, (who was acting manager , Kevin is the mAnager who has yet to sPeak to me over the situation) Brian proceeds to tell me well all you asked us to do is make the air blow aagain, not make ac cold, I said you werE not there , I said my ac and heater need to be repaired , he says no we only made the air blow, I said why would I want air glow WITHOUT HEAT OR COLD??? That Makes no sense !!!! Ted Weins was going to charge me over $1000, for free Freon and free diagnostics. And told me I need to have both hoses replaced,,, the test proved that was a lie.. only 1 hose was leaking and Zenith had my car back to me the same day!!! I have never been more disappointed in a business as I have with Ted Weins, even after updating this review the manager of Ted Weins called me very angry over my review. Called a day ahead of time for a 1-1.5 hr job, took them 6.5 hours to do it, wrote me a whole list of fake problems that ONE month ago they didn't tell me about, tried charging me 3x the cost that other shops were quoting me. Very unprofessional, trying to take advantage of the situation because I'm a young female and they knew I was making a long drive. Ozzie at the Warm Springs location is super professional, gives accurate info. on when he can accomplish a specific service and gets me in and out as promised. He always keeps me informed on what's going on and does an outstanding job. Ted Wiens my mannn! Super efficient when it comes to auto repairs. My damn Impala wouldn't pass a smog to save my life. I brought it to Ted Wiens and they had my car fixed up perfectly. The supervisor was super nice. He was very understanding about my problems. Even gave me small discount. Now every time I here someone talk about their car problemos I can recommend Ted Wiens yo! Say what. I had no idea that they were open Saturdays. Anyhow I will be back on Sat the 23rd. Ted Wiens so far is very trustworthy with my auto repairs and needs. I did come back and found out that they provide wifi while waiting. There is courtesy coffee and they carry chargers for most Android and iPhones, even my black berry. I am truly fascinated at how courteous they are. Even offered a ride home while repairs were to be done. Way to go Ted! read more

I have to say this is a decent auto place in the north end. There are a few things that I may not like, but when it comes to fixing cars, I believe this has the experience to do that. Located off East Craig and N. Production Ct. right next to the Burger King is an auto shop. You'll probably see the Firestone sign first before you see the small lettering of Ted Wiens right under it. But that's where the shop is. I find the place clean looking as well as the inside. Customer service was very friendly. I was greeted by Steve, and he was really helpful to get things situated. I had them check on the AC, since it was making noise, but the main problem was the check engine light. Which was making my car stall and shake. They said they will take a look at it. Taking a look at the shop as is, it seem like they were really busy, so it may take a while. But, I was really impress with the fact that they drove it in the shop within 5-10 minutes. Of course I went across the street to get a whopper, since burger king was right there. But after an hour, they did call me up and tell me I had a fuel injector go out in one of the cylinders. Wasn't to happy to hear that and was a bit concern on cost. But 230 bucks, sounds reasonable for what they had to do. So I told them to go ahead and fix it. The only thing I didn't really like, is that, they kept it over night and didn't really inform me with the fact that it might be an overnight ordeal. It wasn't much of a big deal since I had other ways to get to work that night, but it would of been nice to know. They did get it fix right a way, early morning and called me around 8am. Of course I was still at work, but we did pick it up after wards. I was really impress with the fact that it runs smoothly and no more noise with the AC. Tire pressure indicator came on while I was driving North on the I-15 headed out of Las Vegas. I quickly made the first exit and decided to pull into this tire shop. Chris was nice enough to bring out the tire pressure gauge to see which one had the problem. He checked the door to find out what the recommended tire pressure was supposed to be. I come to find out that all of the tires were over inflated from the rental car company. We discovered the problem was a thin wire had punctured a tire. It was removed and a work order began to get everything fixed. A repair was completed and the tire was reattached to the rental. The error message on the screen went away. Thankfully it was only a $20 repair. Everything took about 30 minutes, which is much faster than big box car shops on the other side of town. read more
