Our first purchase was smooth and unexpected. My wife and I went in simply to look at the mid-level trim. Before I knew it, I was shaking hands on a higher trim level at a price that didn't cause indigestion. Both Brandon and Dominick worked whatever magic they could to get us to a comfortable spot. And they did so without the awkward back and forth I've grown accustomed to at dealerships. I said I didn't quite like the price, Dominick vanished for a few minutes and came back with a better deal. It wasn't even just the pricing that sold me. They were pleasant. No one spoke to us like we were just another sale. Brandon was personable and made it easy to forget that we were there to make a pretty sizable purchase. Dominick was nonchalant about the whole thing, and far different from the high-stress, robotic finance managers I'm used to. We liked the experience so much that, within 3 weeks, we went back to purchase a second Outback. That was an even easier process. Brandon and Dominick had everything set up, and the price was already brought down to where I was happy. That felt even less like a sale, and more like we were stopping in to check in on new friends. On both occasions, they stayed beyond closing to get everything done but never made us feel like we were holding them up. We returned a 3rd time, this time for a sort of training on the vehicle with Parker. I've never had this offered before, and it was quite helpful. Parker made sure we knew every facet of the vehicle and sat with us for a good 45 minutes explaining every button, knob, and menu. It was at this visit that I also met the GM, Brian, who further solidified that Centennial Subaru will be my go-to dealership. ... And the cars are fantastic, too, of course. Although they were unable to diagnose or repair the service issue because my vehicle is an EV, they still completed a thorough inspection. I appreciated their honesty and professionalism as well. Rather than attempting work outside their area of expertise, they recommended that I visit a Chevrolet dealership or a repair shop that specializes in electric vehicles. They also shared that they have seen customers experience negative outcomes after taking their EVs to shops without sufficient experience, which I found to be helpful and transparent advice. Another thing I appreciated was that the staff offered recommendations without being pushy or trying to sell me unnecessary services. They took the time to answer my questions and point me in the right direction. I was there for less than an hour on a Friday morning, and the entire process was smooth and efficient. The guy did say they'll take an hour. We walk to timbers to take our time to eat and stayed an hour to watch the Pittsburgh vs Bengals game. We looked on the app and it says our car is in progress. After the game we started walking back to pep boys and our car is still in the parking lot. At the end of the tunnel no charge. Cashier mention that the nail did not penetrate through the tire. What really sucks through this entire process. It was approximately three and a half hours. I've been at my favorite location discount tires and a pep boys on Simmons. They would have got me out of there an hour short-handed. At the end of the day I'm just glad my tires not flat. I'm glad these guys were open to work on my ride.

Extremely Poor Customer Service…read more I went to Pep Boys around 9:30 AM to return a wiper blade and waited about 10 minutes at the counter, but there was no one there to help. I eventually went outside to the service bay and asked one of the mechanics for assistance. The first employee processed the return but couldn't provide me with a return receipt because he said he didn't know how to print one. He told me to check with my bank to see if the refund went through and asked me to come back in an hour to speak with the manager. I returned about two hours later, only to be told that the original return had been cancelled and never went through. The second employee processed the return again, but only refunded the $33.99 purchase price and did not refund the sales tax I originally paid. He said the tax refund was a manual process and he couldn't do it. What should have been a simple return took approximately 45 minutes, involved multiple employees, and still wasn't resolved properly. Pep Boys still owes me the tax refund for the item. Very frustrating experience and extremely poor customer service. I will not be returning to Pep Boys.
