I had to leave a review because I came here for the first time today, a little bit panicked because it's a Sunday and this was my third Auto place in a row and I was getting desperate because my brakes were having an issue and I was getting really nervous. I was greeted by Joshua initially. He informed me they could take my car and would get back to me within a few hours for an estimate. I was called back later by Josilyn, she was incredibly kind on the phone and informed me everything they discovered and the pricing. When I came back to pick up the car, it was being worked on by Sunny. Josilyn and Joshua both showed me what they had fixed and explained the issues with my car. Josilyn and I ended up having a really nice conversation while Joshua test drove the car. Amazingly, I ended up paying less than what I thought I would when I first brought the car in, not to mention the fact that they were able to take me and handle everything within a couple of hours on a Sunday when nobody else could. We took it back and they claimed to have put better brakes and then told us we needed a $2200 strut job for a 2021 Chevy Traverse!!!! And the brakes are still squeaking terrible! We went and got a second opinion and guess what? NO, WE DIDN'T need new struts! I'm telling you do not waste your money here. They will lie to your face and take as much money as they can. I came in for a FREE AC inspection. The lady at the desk had me fill out the form which just my basic info and NEVER was told there would be any charge or anything. I waited around for about an hour for one of the other workers to tell me that my car was just low on Freon and no other issues. I then told the man that I had just put in Freon about 2 weeks ago (I have done it plenty of times on older vehicles with no issues and have always filled it the lowest acceptable level). Once I told the worker that he then went back to inspect my car again. After 15 minutes he came back and tried to say that all of the seals had been blown and that it was overcharged and would need to be completely replaced. I was then quoted a $2500 price to have my whole AC system replaced. What a miracle that it went from simply being low on Freon and no issues to magically needing everything replaced. I obviously said that I wouldn't get any work done there and then was told it would be another 15 minutes for my paperwork to be completed. Once that was done I then got charged $60 for my FREE inspection! I was NEVER told I was being charged for ANYTHING! I would have refused any thing they were going to charge for. This place is completely shady and I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone! read more

I STRONGLY DO NOT recommend anyone going to this Pep Boys auto shop. On 10/18/2023 I had a problem with my Chevrolet Cruz 2012. The problem was I had an oil leak that needed to be fixed and they said they could fix it. So I took their word for it and left my car there to get fixed and it was fixed later on that day. We picked it up that afternoon and they said that it was completely fixed and nothing should be wrong. As I got home in my driveway, there was still an oil leak but so much oil on the floor leaking out of my car then before and after I got it fixed. The oil leak was still there and there was a bigger oil leak than before after they fixed it the first time. So the next day I went to Pep Boys letting them know the oil leak was still there, and creating a bigger oil leak than before. So they said we can take it back to fix it and on that same day, in the afternoon Pep Boys auto shop told me that they fixed what was needed to be fixed and should have no problems. I took my car home and in my driveway STILL, there was an oil leak that same day that they said they fixed. Not only the oil leak was still happening, there was so much oil leaking then before and two times I took it up there stating that there was a bigger oil leak that they assume that they fixed and it was damaging my engine and other parts in my car after I got fixed twice by them. After that I decided I am done with Pep Boys. I took it to another auto shop which was Tire Works and they did a quick and easy fix stating that there was something loose that was creating more oil leaks that the Pep Boys said they fixed but did not. So not only did I pay to get it fixed twice by Pep boys but they never fix what needed to be fixed in my car. It was a very frustrating and disappointing experience that I had with Pep Boys and I STRONGLY DO NOT recommend anyone going to them with any car issues whatsoever. Save your money for a place that is honest and that will actually fix your car what needs to be fixed. !NO STARS if there was an option! read more

Do not come here. Went for an oil change and they pointed out a small power steering leak. They quoted me $2500+ dollars for the repair. Gave me this whole excuse as to how they would have to remove the steering column, it would take hours and it was dangerous if I didn't get it repaired. Naturally I got a second opinion from a friend who's a mechanic. He took 2 minutes to look at it, pointed out it was the break booster that was leaking into the cab. It was a $200 part at auto zone and took me 45 minutes to replace. No steering columns needed to be removed. So insane they straight up lied to me and tried to scam me out of $2500. Sadly, if they would have been honest about it I would have probably taken it back to them to get repaired. Now they have lost my business forever. read more

My alternator went out and this is where the tow truck recommended due to it being a Saturday and many places were closed. They replaced the alternator, a serpentine belt which I requested, and replaced my year old battery, even those it was still holding a charge. Fine, I live in Mesquite, NV 90 miles from this location, my daughter was driving my car home, while I drove my sisters. I did not find out until I was home that the air conditioner was no longer working. I called Pep Boys right away and was advised that it was not their fault as the alternator is no where near the air conditioning compressor. That is not true , but they never said to bring it back or go to my nearest Pep Boys they just said it was not their fault. I went to a local mechanic and they charged me 128.00 to plug the air compressor back in. When I called Pep Boys to see if they could credit me the money I had to spend to fix the mistake made by them the manager said no. That I should have drove 90 miles back in 95degree heat with no air conditioner to have them look at it. read more

Dropped off that morning, returned that afternoon. Beat the dealership price by more than $300! Fast, friendly, and professional. A week later, brought my second-favorite car for the 100K service. Full synthoil change, tuneup, fuel injectors, throttle body, brake, coolant, and differential flushes, filters, and inspection. Beat (a different) dealership by almost $400! Drop off 9 a.m., ready before 3 p.m. Again, fast, friendly, and professional. This shop and its people are amazing! They'll do everything they can to make your visit pleasant, and they're respectful without KYA. They keep you posted and answer your questions without condescension. Bring your vehicle in. I showed my email confirmation and still didn't take me. He mentioned something about after hours that has absolutely nothing to do with me. I haven't even been here. I read on line that they are open till 7pm. I called 5 times trying to see if they could get my husband's truck looked at for a tire alignment. Once i got ahold of someone they told me "we are closed can't take you" and before I even got the chance to ask how much a tire alignment would be or try to schedule an appointment. They HUNG up on me!!! I won't be recommending this company or this location to anyone. I found it rude that they couldn't even tell me a price or let alone give me a chance to speak. I also think that they should edit their "business hours" so people don't bother them since that's such a problem. I can't say enough good things about the experience I had at this location. From the greeting we received from Dircé when we came in to the check out during payment we got from Crystal when we picked up our vehicle; it was 5 star treatment. Our old toyota Minivan was making a horrible noise after getting some new tires put on it. Sounded like a plane taking off!!! I knew the problems were more substantial. Than a bad tire mounting or balancing issue. Sure enough, Brett, our very personable and considerate mechanic gave our car the full Sherlock Holmes treatment and quickly had a full breakdown of everything that we needed to get fixed. He explained it all showing us exactly what the issues were and prioritizing them in terms of necessity and urgency. He was clear and direct. Turns out we needed all new breaks in the front, new bearings and had been driving around with 25% breaking power! Super dangerous. Likewise, when we went back into the lobby to get the numbers; Dircé was excellent. She showed us what the costs would be and gave up multiple options as far as what needed immediate attention versus what could be delayed. In the end, we chose to do the works and pay for the peace of mind. Knowing that we would be driving away in a safe vehicle for all of our kids and their friends. Could we have gone with the diagnosis to a cheaper mechanic? Possibly. But Pep boys offers a nationwide warranty on their work and the small amount we might save today could potentially become a big headache in 30 days if anything goes wrong and you need to address it with a one -off mechanic. They even ordered us a Lyft ride home while they did the repairs (It took a full day to complete). When the vehicle was ready and tested, they called us to come pick it up. Crystal greeted us and made sure we were well taken care of. In short, One of the best experiences I've had in any repair shop. No one likes spending money on car repair. It's always way more than you want to spend. And it can be a huge headache trying to wrap your head around what the work is that needs to be done. These guys make it painless. Or as at least as painless as dropping hundreds of dollars can be. They were closed the asst Mgr tried to call his boss to see if they could stay late to help me but there was no response. I understood and left. The asst Mgr saw my flat tire on the rim as I tried to drive off. He stopped me and said "no I cant let you leave on that" he saw my son in car as well. He and the employee checked my tired and put air in it so I could get to safety, warning me its a temp fix just air and I definitely needed a new tire. Needed an oil change on the wife's vehicle, so looked on the internet and decided to give Pep Boys a shot. Mainly because it was close to our snowbird residence. So I made an appointment online and got in 3 hours later on a Saturday. Granted a lot of places through out the valley anymore to get it done. Needless to say my wife wanted it done ( guess I did too) before making an excursion, so off I go. Was greeted at the doorway with 2 very cheerful faces. And I was put in minutes before my scheduled appointment, so a good sign. Thinking now I'm out of here in no time, unfortunately I forgot they do all the inspections to inform you of any potential problems. Some were duly noted ( but not needed) and on my way after 40 minutes. Price was about right for those synthetic oils. Not like the good old days when I could grab 5 quarts of oil and a filter, wrench on it for 5 minutes, then drive off. Flash forward from the 60's and they have made it much much more difficult for the average person to accomplish this backyard mechanic feat. Poor customer service and slow service. I left my truck Monday evening for a brake check and I was told I would receive a call that night with an update. No call. Tuesday morning I was called and given a price and told what work was required. I approved. I was told it would be ready by late afternoon or early evening. I was called back in the evening and told my truck was ready to be picked up. Ten minutes later I called again and told my truck was NOT ready to be picked up. Wednesday mid-day I was called again and told my truck was finally ready. When I went to pick it up I asked for a discount because I was not called when I was supposed to be called, and the job took a day longer than it was supposed to take. No discount. I guess "Just Brakes" is just too much for this place to handle. On the drive home I noticed the brakes are making a loud grinding noise. So now I have to go back!
