I was having car issues and this was the closest most convenient car part store to get to. My car was completely dead and I needed to replace another part. I ordered the parts and a battery online for pickup in store. They pushed my order to say it was completed but I received a call explaining despite it saying completed they were waiting for 2 of the pieces to be delivered from another store and that they would call me again when it arrives. I appreciate them doing that. Once all the parts were there I went to pick them up, it was an easy and quick process. The next day when i went to return the old battery to be recycled we need a bolt we lost and asked for help and the guy working the counter flat out said he could not help/assist us and sat down. That was a bit disappointing but we found what we needed. I'd for sure adventure out to other auto part stores as I've always been helped or given some kind of assistance when I ask. Stood there for 20 minutes with my kids. I only needed them to try to read the code on my vehicle with the hope that it would clear the error messages prompted by leaving the gas cap open (yep, long weekend). Charlie F is amazing!!! He definitely goes above and beyond an needs a raise :) I drove almost 4 hours to Minneapolis to take my daughters to a concert. As soon as I arrived, my car battery light came on. I had just purchased a new battery less then a week ago. Charlie charged the battery to make sure it was good and indeed it was. He found out it was the alternator. I purchased it and he even installed it for me! I was able to drive home safely with my children! Couldn't thank him enough and loved hearing his stories about how he's teaching his grandson to drum! Thank you so much Charlie, we made it home! I went here to buy headlights for our car that had just burned out. Knowing nothing about cars, I asked for help finding the right headlights for our car. Not only did the man locate the headlights, he offered advice to get a special grease since it's going to be winter soon and even offered to install them for me (I think because it was the middle of the day). It probably would have taken us two hours to do what he accomplished in 5 minutes. The really good news was I had working headlights for my drive home from work in a rain storm. I was wowed over by the friendly and helpful customer service. I will certainly return the next time we need parts for our car. read more

Disclaimer: I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO REPAIR CARS!!! Having said that, this has been my go-to auto parts place for a few years now. You know, the little stuff that most people can fix. They have a good selection of parts for your car, and most are not any more expensive than if you bought them at Target or Wal-Mart. However, I am always most pleased with the customer service. They are never short to ask if you ned help or answer a question (with my knowledge, I use this service a lot). They will even go out to your car with you, and help you replace whatever little part needs replacing (lights, wipers, etc.). An added bonus: I have never been there when there wasn't a bilingual (Spanish and English) staff working! read more

My car had died while I was away on a business trip, and the AAA folks jump started my car and then told me to go get the battery tested. Autozone does free battery testing, so I drove it on over here. Charlie F helped me get my battery charged up, tested the battery, alternator, and starter, and patiently answered all of my questions. He was a joy to be around and incredibly helpful! My car left good as new, and I was so glad I just happened to have been close to this store. THANK YOU CHARLIE!!! read more

I have been into the richfield store twice in the past week. I needed a headlight bulb. Neither time was I offered any assistance. According to the website my car takes two size bulbs, I got the incorrect size. I asked to exchange the bulb, the associate stood there just telling me it was the wrong bulb. I finally walked out. Being that I was unable to make the exchange, had difficulty getting any answers, and customer series was seriously lacking, I have no intention of returning to this store. read more

I went in not even knowing anything about how to do a do-it yourself fix on my air conditioner and he explained everything as many times as I needed him to so that I was able to successfully accomplish my goal. Went there and the older gentlemen treated me like I was invisible. I was in line waiting while he helped some one and when it came to me he asked some one else if they needed help. Not only that but he tried to call me a name in Spanish like I don't understand what he is saying yet I'm latino lol. I just had a really great experience. Went in to replace my battery. They do replace for free. At first I thought I was going to have a hard time because the employee at first acted like he didn't know if they replace for free and then his manager said teasingly "you know that answer to that question." After that the service was great. We had a lot of fun talking about my car and he showed me how easy it is to replace the battery in my car - which I thought it was but wasn't sure enough to do for the first time alone. They also suggested that the Rain-x were the best wipers when I said I wanted to replace. I got $5 back for giving them my used battery. I would definitely go back. I'm sure it may depend on who is working that day but the crew I had was really good and did a good job of managing the line and a few customers at once read more

i needed a 100% FREE engine light diagnostic check. this place was great! they helped me very quickly and thoroughly. i was in and out in less than 2 minutes! all of the employees were nice young ladies. i definitely recommend this place! :D before i called this autozone, i called the one on university ave in st paul ( i live in seward ) to make sure the checks are free since a lot of people seem to run into bullshit with "free checks" at other 'zone's. some guy named jose picked up and he mumbled into the phone with a jerky tone as if he could care less that he was speaking to a potential customer. he told me they dont do free checks until after 5 pm and hung up. after how quick and easy it was at the one i went to, i wonder what the hell would keep them from doing free checks until after 5 pm... my ass!! read more
