When I asked the man behind the counter for assistance, instead of checking the computer, he pulled out a paperback parts catalog and spent several minutes thumbing through the pages, failing to check the index, before telling me he found only one such part priced at $250+ I did not buy it Found a superior product online at Cabela's in Lexington of all places for $100.

So we went down to test drive it this past Saturday. I loved it immediately. Patrick was the one who was telling me about the vehicle and took us on the test drive. He was very energetic and informative. So since my husband was at work in Lexington I couldn't show him the vehicle so they said no prob! Here take it to him and let him see it and drive it and see what he thinks! So we took it and let him see it but he wasn't able to drive it much. But he said Tuesday we will come back and also have it inspected just to cover all our bases. So Tuesday comes and we were unable to get it inspected and Kim and Patrick were both great and patient with us. I felt so bad breaking an appointment after they had put it on hold for us on the lot. So Wednesday they took it to Toyota for us who my moms friend was going to look at it for us up there. We have been super picky and annoying through this whole thing I know we have but we had to just make sure. They also gave us the previous owners info so we could ask questions about some things. They were nothing but extremely helpful and accommodating to us. And today we finally came in and Kim took care of us. Even let us speak to service and got us the notes from the inspection Honda did themselves and the notes from the mechanic and the service they recommended which they had taken care of already. So we feel extremely confident in the quality of vehicle we bought. I am 9 months pregnant and forgot to bring snacks and I had a huge sugar crash and Kim was kind enough to get me some snacks and sweets to bring it back up. I would recommend gates Honda for anyone looking for a used vehicle. They won't sell you crap. They definitely take pride in making sure you leave in a great vehicle. Thanks guys so much for putting up with all of our questions and making this such a great experience.

If they do mess up, you'll receive a call from Brian McMahan that will promise to fix the issue (after saying he and gates have nothing to do with Bill or Les, that they are their own entity). And second, Victoria and a young man in the service were extremely helpful. In fact, they were fantastic! Their focus was on resolving my problem, no matter how much time it took. However, the sales personnel need tutorial sessions about what different models can and cannot do. For example, how to activate voice commands on different Explorer models. They may not know about non-Ford products, but they definitely should know the features on newer Ford vehicles. If nothing else, conduct an internet search. The customer should not know more than employees of Gates. And finally, the Finance person should know which financial institutions have branches in Madison County. The person gave me incorrect information. A few years ago, I had a negative experience with Gates. This experience has been better, but it has not been excellent.

As this was our only vehicle, when he heard I would have to find a ride Roberto came and picked me up to go to his shop. The local Nissan dealership wasn't able to accommodate our vehicle the NV3500 (what dealership doesn't have the lift to cover ALL their vehicles?) and recommended that I take it to their other Nissan shop which meant I would have to pay to tow my vehicle almost 35minutes away. Also, Roberto and his crew is very willing to offer assistance and suggestions when you have a question. This place is a breath of fresh air in an era of unkindness and prideful people.
