I saw a review that said this is the best AutoZone in Thousand Oaks and I couldn't agree more. Every single person in that store helped us in some way. I had come in regarding my windshield wipers not fitting my car and started a fiasco that was handled efficiently and kindly by all the staff there (1/17/25 @ 4 pm). I don't remember all of there names, but they all were incredibly helpful and worked as an amazing team. Rory, the person in charge at that time, was by far the most helpful. They had two difficult to find batteries in stock (my diesel truck require two batteries). When I called they confirmed my request was in stock. Popped in to get windshield wipers. Dave greeted us when we walked in and asked us what we needed. He walked outside to check our SUV's windshield wipers, and he took them off to confirm the correct size. We walked back inside, purchased the windshield wipers, that came with windshield washer fluid and Dave went outside and put them on for us. Never coming back to this autozone the manager or the guy was in charge at that time, I came and bought an oil filter for my car and the filter didn't fit my car, we made sure it was the right one for my car with the guy in charge, he said I screwed it in wrong, but it didn't even screw at all so I don't get how I would do that, so I bought another one just to try and see maybe that one was defective and same thing happened, so I came back and I wanted to return both of them, and the guy said I messed them up, you can't mess something up when it doesn't even screw, so he said he had the right to refuse a refund, so another kid "helped me" he did the return for both but I never received the money for the other one and they took both of them from me, also I bought a different oil filter from them, I'm not sure if they are selling the parts for extra cash for them to keep, I don't care but that's not right. read more

If you don't care about COVID-19 come to Autozone. The employees do not wear masks. When questioned why they were not wearing masks they stated it's not required by their corporate offices. I told them I wear a mask for them so I don't project my droplets to them. They went on to state if you don't need to come into the store don't. They also stated another patron also asked the two employees why they weren't wearing mask. They stated she bought non-essential items and "she shouldn't come in if she is worried about us wearing damn masks." The one employee stated it's worse for his health to wear a mask because of the carbon dioxide not being able to be released. Maybe he should deal with his comorbidity of obesity rather than worrying about his mask and that goes for the two of them. I wish them the best of luck in life. This makes it easy for me to shop at O'reilly Auto parts on Wendy Drive. They are wearing masks and quite frankly all the gear heads shop there and the employees are much more knowledgeable. This Autozone rarely has people in it, so good luck to them especially in this economic downturn. There is a Napa Auto Parts and Pep Boys only 10 minutes away on Thousand Oaks Blvd as well. I won't be coming to this store. If you don't mind them not wearing masks and essentially not caring for your wel, then please shop here. read more

My daughters' car had a check engine lite come on. I had been dealing with car dealerships and it is pretty expensive to get a reading without having to spend over $100.00. We went to Autozone and Steve, the manager found the code within minutes, we purchased the new part and he helped us install it. He removed the check engine light. I am only giving this AutoZone one star on this shopping experience. I wanted to exchange a Duralast turn signal switch assembly that I ordered because plug bar for the wiring harness was broken. I paid $40.72 for this item. I told the guy at counter that I just wanted to exchange it. What this guy was refund the $40.72, then charge me $44.50 for the same part that I only wanted to exchange! I this guy I should be charged extra for an exchange of a defective item to get non defective item. He just said the prices have gone up. That is very poor customer relations, selling broken items that you had wait to get from them, because they were not in stock, then raise the price when all you wanted was to make an exchange for a non broken item read more

There is a new AutoZone in Newbury Park, next to Lowe's. Recognizing the franchise, I went in to take a look. Needless to say, I got what I expected and then some. First of all, the store is spacious, well-stocked, and it offers a variety of items and accessories for all types of vehicles. I was even able to find a certain item I have been looking for (which has to do with aftermarket interior vehicle lighting) that wasn't available in ANY auto parts store in Ventura county or LA County for quite some time. So for your very specific part/accessory needs, AutoZone takes the crown. As far as customer service goes, I got the chance to work with Sam and Cameron. Cameron took time to look over my vehicle, both the interior and under the hood, and he made recommendations on parts and services I might need coming up--everything he mentioned was designed to maintain the integrity and functionality of my vehicle. Sam also offered advice on who to go to locally for brakes and certain services on my vehicle that are not offered at the store. I figure it's best to talk to car guys and see where they go for anything you can't get at AutoZone. Overall, Sam and Cameron were both professional and friendly, and they made sure that the information on my customer account was up to date and that I was registered as a rewards member. I asked about the item of the month, and Cameron answered, not missing a beat. Then, when I asked about tires, Sam rattled off a few brands specific to my vehicle that would get me the best results.
