Super rude. Called ahead and spoke to vlad about a battery and price. He was super helpful and said he would look at our car battery and help guide us through the process. We showed up within an hour, Fred sold us and looked and accessed the battery and said he could get it done but it may take some time. Got a quote for a battery at pep boys for $240. They had one in stock but could not install it as the car is a hybrid. They recommended I check with the service department next door, a different company that happens to sit on the same property. The service department charged $330 (plus installation). In desperation I purchased it. I literally saw the pep boys employee walk the battery to the service station. It cost and extra $70 for the battery by buying it next door so that I could hire them to install it (for a reasonably fair price of about $30). I'm not saying I was scammed or hustled on the battery price but it was the sketchiest transaction I've had the pleasure of witnessing first hand in decades. read more

I was a customer of O'Reily for over 12 years. I bought my car battery from them all the time. They establish an account so they can track what you bought and honor their warranty if needed. I bought a battery for car 1 year ago. It had a 3 year warranty. The battery first started dying I took it to them they said nothing was wrong with it. 3 weeks later it completely died clearly couldn't be charged to 12 v. After being late and having to take Lyft to work 3 times. I took my battery back again and I asked them to honor their warranty. They looked in their computer and claimed they didn't have any record of sale to me even though this the type of battery they sell. It has the sticker of sale 6/21 on it . They demanded receipt from a year a ago. So of course I didn't have any receipt because I relied on their promise to keep track of my purchases as they promised. The worker said while he can look it up by date it would be hard for him. I got ripped off $120 worth of battery. read more

Do not shop for batteries here!!! I bought a very expensive super start extreme battery and within in year it wasn't starting the car. I returned it with no problem and they gave me another battery. A year and two months later, the new battery wasn't starting the car and I went to replace it. They said they could not do anything for me. The reasoning was that I only got one replacement even though this was a new battery with a 3 year warranty and even though it failed in a little over a year, there is no replacemenI left and went to pep boys where their policies stick with the batteries you buy. read more

After searching various aftermarket parts shops in Thousand Oaks and being unable to find a quality exhaust tip for less than $100, I was able to find the perfect FlowMaster tip for $33 on O'Reilly Auto Part's website. I called this store to order the part and they quoted $8 shipping fee to the store, which I gladly paid. They called me about 4 days later to come pick up the part. The exhaust tip was to be installed on a 2013 Chevy Silverado 1500, and we immediately noticed that the diameter of the tip was 1/4 inch too large for the stock exhaust pipe. This is where I realized these guys are hardworking and willing to help a customer out. The associate Jason did not hesitate to suggest the most cost effective and professional ways of fitting the tip to the pipe. He went out of his way in the O'Reilly parking lot to bore out my stock exhaust pipe and find an adapter to fit the new tip. A+ Jason went one step further and recommended to me a great custom auto shop in Thousand Oaks called Bloch Worx run by his friend Devyn Bloch that could weld the tip to the exhaust for a price only a friend could get. There's no doubt that I will continue to use this O'Reilly in Thousand Oaks for any of my future auto related parts. read more
