Horrible experience. Went in for 20k miles service. Staff was extremely rude and managed to spill oil all over my engine, fail to plug the oil correctly causing it to leak in my garage. Very, very displeased with the service that we received here we went into buy out our lease and what should've been a quick fast, easy-going process, turned into them, trying to scam us and rip us off with trying to force us to purchase an extra five to $6000 worth of product that we did not need and the salesman trying to say this was mandatory this is predatory behavior, predatory lending, and it is sickening. What a company will do to trying to steal your money. We should've learned from the past few times when we have taken our truck here for an oil change that they are very shady here and are always trying to get more money out of you I'm here at the other location in Thousand Oaks which is way better and the Toyota slogan says reputation over shortcuts and relationships over transactions. This is definitely not the message that the Oxnard location is sending and it is sad to think of all the people they are probably ripping off. please be careful with your money here. We walked out as we have a lot of experience with purchasing vehicles, and we know that this was not mandatory for us to be forced into buying an extended insurance coverage or whatever the heck they were trying to sell us when all we were trying to do is buy out the amount we owed on our vehicle plus the normal fees like tax title license, which is understandable They could definitely improve and stop the predatory behaviors!!! stop trying to steal peoples money and stop being shady to fill your own pocket. He said yes, they're in the corner over there... no implication to assist me, nor show me around... until I said, "Are they unlocked? Can I see the inside? Negotiated a deal with the salesperson (Israel) and sales manager (Christian) over the phone. Confirmed a time to show up in the afternoon. Christian told me we had a deal and "no tricks." Israel texted me after the call to let him know when I get there. I proceed to get everything in order. I then get a call a few hours later as I'm heading up that they sold the car and "that we never had a deal without anything signed on paper." Worst sales team ever. After pampering our 2002 Toyota Tacoma for years we finally busted down and got a new 2025. Jose, did an amazing job and really worked the deal to a tee. There was no way to specify WHAT I needed done during my service appointment using the new ai answering phone tree thing. So I called ahead to say why I needed a service appointment and they seemed confused. The thing I specifically needed addressed was not followed up with in the service recommendations or text messages -- instead 10 expensive recommendations were made without explanations why those should be considered. I had to push to get answers for my specific need that I'd already explained. Idk why they don't want to share any details to explain themselves. Somehow the issue is fixed maybe? The ride service is nice - it's just nothing happened the way they explained it would--be ready for an automated call and to never get the text they say you'll get. You won't get the call if you have unknown caller or spam call blocking on like many ppl do. Maybe it got fixed, issue seems to be resolved for now read more

The sales department here is HORRIBLE if I could give ZERO stars I would. I bought a used car here 6 months ago. In that 6 months I had my car here at the dealership at least 5 times for various reasons. The last time I brought the car in I was told I need a new engine $10k. While the service department is fantastic and so are the mechanics. They suggested I talk to someone in the sales department to get me into a different car. That salesman was so unprofessional, and suggested insurance fraud. I know I bought the car "as is" but they could have tried to work with me. Instead, the sales manager who asked me to look at other cars on the lot and try to find something comparable to what I had left me hanging for 3 weeks. And then did absolutely nothing. The best customer service I have received in my life. I purchased a new Toyota from a different dealership. It was a used 2019 CH/R with low mileage, and I got the "buddy bro" treatment from the dealership. (or they said I was going to get it....) They didn't really. Before my first payment, my check engine light came on. I live in Ventura and this dealership was a good hour away. They told me to bring it in and I did, but as soon as I started, pulling into the carport at the dealership, the check engine light turned off... "Sorry, there's nothing we can do if the check engine light is off. But if it comes back on again, you can get this done at our Oxnard location, which is closer to you." Was the agents reply. Sure enough a day later when the light came back on, I decided to take it to DCH Toyota of Oxnard. I had just gotten back from a trip to New England and was pretty exhausted from the Jetlag and walked into the location and met with Jack. He inspected the vehicle, asked me a ton of questions, scratched his head as to why they would tell me to go there, especially if the car was still under warranty - but agreed to help me out. His energy was infectious. His empathy for my issue was top-notch and he was a great communicator who was quick to get back to me and absolute legend and the kind of customer experience every trainer dreams about having their employees give. He let me know that the check would be about $200 before we did the work and told me to call the dealership to make sure that they would be covering it or else I'd be out the money. (I think we all know times when people haven't given us that warning ahead of time...) The other dealership took a message and said they'd call me back sure if they did...an hour and a half later.... " hey man, my manager said they'll only do the work if you bring it here I'm sorry..." After calmly explaining to the representative that they needed to train their employees not to tell their customers to take it to another dealership. I immediately called Jack and he was able to stop the work before I was charged. I can go on about the drama of what it took to actually get the car fixed, but Jack was the silver lining in a very dark rain cloud. I cannot tell you how highly I recommend working with him if you have to go to a dealership to get work done. Well, done Jack. I took my car for the 5,000 miles service. Thought it would be a quick visit, since there was no issues with the car. If it wasn't because I got up to ask 3hrs later , I would probably still be there. While I waited for my car to be brought up , I noticed it was parked! Who knows for how long. Also, usually other dealerships do a complimentary wash when the car is taken for service. Not here. Plan ahead when taking your car for service and make sure to check in constantly! read more

It was a complex and for me a very stressful situation but Marco spoke with the Manager of the Service Department (I'm so sorry I forgot his name, it might have been Chris) resolved it better than I expected, hoped or even prayed for. I'm extremely disappointed with the service I received from Jose Bravo during my recent oil change appointment. My appointment was scheduled for 11:50 AM, and upon arrival, everything initially seemed fine. Jose took my keys and told me the service would take about two hours. I thought that was a long time for a simple oil change--especially with an appointment--but I decided to make the best of it. My spouse and I went to grab lunch and do some Christmas shopping while we waited. About two hours later, I returned and saw my car parked outside. I was relieved and assumed it was done. When I walked inside, Jose was on his phone, and another employee asked how he could help. I told him I was there to pick up my car and handed him my paperwork. That's when I was told the vehicle wasn't ready. Moments later, Jose came over and informed me that my car hadn't even been serviced yet. I was frustrated and told him it was about to hit the two-hour mark--the same estimate he gave me. Instead of offering to check what was causing the delay or giving me an updated ETA, he responded rudely with, "Do you just want to take your car?" That comment set me off. It felt dismissive, unprofessional, and showed no effort to help resolve the situation. I've serviced my car here before, but after this encounter, I won't be coming back anytime soon. Jose Bravo clearly needs training in customer service and communication. I ended up taking my car to a small shop in Ventura afterward, and they finished my oil change in 20 minutes--no appointment needed. Appraisal team low balled me. Carmax offered near $1000 more. The guy truly seems disinterested in his job. Was never by his desk, dragged his feet over. He asked for the carmax quote I sent it. He never got back to me. I went by again for him to drag his feet over. I decided to leave. BUYER BEWARE! The other negative reviews on here are all true. Take your hard earned money somewhere else! Oscar, Colombian bald headed dude, is dismissive and not trustworthy. He wasn't our sales person, but appears to be the one who calls the shots. The car still contained personal belongings from the previous owner, as well as personal stickers still attached to the mirrors, which raised immediate concerns about how thoroughly vehicles are actually inspected and prepared. While we took it on a test drive, a "'see dealership" message appeared on the dash indicating the vehicle needed further inspection. The dealership advertises a "160-point inspection," but given the condition of the vehicle, I question how comprehensive that process truly is. Additionally, the black bumper at the base of the driver door is defected and sticks out. It needs to be fully repaired. Based on the current condition of the vehicle, we negotiated a number about $2.5k lesser than the sticker price. Oscar was unwilling to negotiate AT ALL. He took offense to my ask. Instead, he insisted the sales person showed us other similar vehicles. After he was persistent on not dropping a single penny. We agreed to see the other options he claim are available. Guess what? We go outside, and there was NO OTHER OPTIONS PRESENTED TO US. Paying sticker price might be expected in some markets, but the current condition of the vehicle and alarming service message on the dash did not reflect a "ready to drive off the lot" standard. To top things off, we were initially presented with a quote reflecting a 72 month term, which we never agreed to. When we asked for a revised quote based on a 36 month term, the price tag of the vehicle was suddenly INCREASED on the new document. There was no explanation or apology for the change. We DID NOT agree to a higher price tag base on a shorter month term. That moment felt incredibly misleading and significantly undermined trust. Additionally, the text is printed in tiny font size (it doesn't even take up half the page), so bring your magnifying glass because you're going to need it if you're not willing to fall for Oscar's buffoonery. Overall, the experience felt inconsistent and lacked transparency. Oscar is a joke, and Toyota should be ashamed of having him employed at this place, and representing the brand. It's hard to believe those "positive" Google reviews are genuine. Especially the ones that are "5 star" without any explanation/reasoning. Don't walk... RUN AWAY! Save yourself the trouble and headache. No one likes feeling played, and Oscar will play you like a fiddle if you allow him to. Please consider your other options elsewhere. TRUST ME. read more

Following an excellent service experience at DCH Toyota of Oxnard, I am specifically writing to commend my service advisor, Rudy Reyes, on providing terrific advice and friendly service. Rudy took the time to explain all necessary work in a clear and understandable manner. He clearly distinguished between what was needed now vs what should be considered for the future. At no time did I feel that I was being sold more than what was necessary. The dealership has a very nice waiting area with available refreshments, ie. coffee and very good cookies. While my car was being worked on and I was in the waiting area, Rudy made an extra effort to check in with me to provide progress reports. As my service visit was nearing completion, I needed to by some items in the parts department. Rudy walked me over to the parts department and introduced me to the parts manager - just to make sure that I would be treated well. I very much appreciated his extra efforts in this regard. I found everybody that I came into contact with at this service department to be extremely friendly and willing to assist in any way. In summary, I consider myself to now be a "raving fan" of Rudy Reyes and his service department at DCH Toyota of Oxnard. I highly recommend Rudy and his team - even if you have to drive a bit further to have your service work done here. read more

This review is for the sales team only. This was my first and only experience with this dealership. I stopped in to check out the used vehicles because I love the reliability of a Toyota. My current car will be sold for constant repairs so I'm in the market for a new or used car. Preferably, I'd like to save money and purchase a used car with fairly low mileage. In a nutshell... I visited on a weekend, found a used car I liked (not loved) that checked most of my boxes. The salesman was young and knowledgeable on his models and mechanics, which was nice. He took me inside to talk numbers and although he was trying to work with what I wanted, he was working around a sales price (a specific number) that he didn't have approved by the finance manager yet. The finance manager was brought in and tried to sell me a completely different model that was a new vehicle. This was off-putting. I told the salesman I wanted to think this over and do a little research before committing, which I did, and the next day I decided to buy the car at the price we discussed. I called ahead of time to let him know I was coming in on the terms we discussed and he said, "Come in!" When I arrived, my salesman was busy with another customer so he handed me off to his sales manager. I sat down with this man and I realized he was annoyed because I was interrupting his Dodger game. He was also annoyed that my salesman didn't do a complete workup of numbers on his "form". The same finance manager, from the day before, was called over. I explained I was ready to purchase the car at the numbers and interest rates that was discussed and he turned it down completely. He told me the $2,000 I wanted to save should just be tacked onto the loan. Then he went as so far as to insult me by telling me I couldn't afford the car and I should look at another model. Not sure if this was a tactic to get me to pay more? Bottom line, I COULD afford the car (and I can afford a much higher price tag vehicle), but I wasn't willing to pay the price of this used car since a new version with zero miles was only a few thousand dollars more. I am disappointed to say the least and I will not be purchasing a car from this dealership nor will I recommend anyone work with this particular sales team. read more

I wasn't planning on leaving a review until I saw how many others shared my dissatisfaction. After weeks of car shopping, I found another dealership willing to give me the exact vehicle and monthly payment I needed. I had been told a number of times my target deal couldn't be done. I sent a cropped image of the official offer sheet with the name of the dealership cut out to Jessica and Melany to show them proof that it could be done, and that some dealerships are actually willing to do things to give customers what they want. Instead of bowing out gracefully, they looked up the VIN from my photo, tracked down the rival dealership, and called them directly to report that I was shopping their deal around. Trying to sabotage a customer's deal with another business just because you lost the sale shows a shocking lack of integrity. Even if DCH offered me a better price after that, I would never do business with people who act so unprofessionally. I will gladly drive an hour away to a dealership that values honesty. DCH...what a joke. Short version. Don't Come Here. Long version. Had been talking with dealership for 2 weeks prior to going by down to trade in car and finance a new car. Was told that they could match the offer I had gotten on my car. Of course when it comes time for that they lowball me. I had a small amount left on my trade in they said no problem they could pay off and then I wanted to use most but not all of the money left to put down on a new car and finance the rest. I had filled all the paper work prior. Before I even went down to talk to them and for them to see my car they were trying to make me put money down. I didn't even see the car I was interested in. Andre the finance manager was pressing me to put money down. Get real I hadn't even seen the car. Anyways, the day I go down seemed to go smoothly until I had to sign paperwork, in which the finance manager was rushing me to sign, barely letting me read what I was signing and just saying sign, sign, sign. Common he could at the least let me read what I'm signing. It took over 5 hours to get to the signing and then he's rushing me. They let me take my new car and told me they would send the payoff for my trade in next day mail or one day mail so that the payoff would be done and they would get the rest of the amount to me once they received the title. They took three days to call to find the payoff amount. Another 2 weeks for that check to make it to the place that I had the finance with the old car. So I had a late charge with the finance company thanks to them lagging to make the payoff. They had my car on their used car site before they even made the payoff. They told me I couldn't get my money until they got the title. I would check their site and within 2 weeks of them having my trade in the car was off their used car site. I'm assuming they sold it. So I reached out to see if they can send my money since they don't have my car. Andres tells me that they need the title before they can give me my money. THEY HAD SOLD MY CAR ALREADY. Another 2 weeks go by and they said they were still waiting for title to send my money. I was pretty fed up and said I'll go pick up the check once they have the title. I called on a Thursday to see if the title arrived. This was almost two months from when I originally when down. They said the title showed up Monday. If I hadn't been bugging them I wonder if they would have ever given me my money. They do not care about their customer happiness and only want to make money. As well I feel like there is some ill practices going on here. Again they sold my trade in before they got the title and before they would even write the check they owed me. Place is sketchy, also feels a little like embezzlement when they did not reach out to give me my check.
