Horrible. Hate writing this but genuinely was disgusted with my purchases last Wednesday. All the food I bought from the pre packaged area was awful. The Caesar dressing tasted like cinnamon. The beef stew (french) don't know the spelling ; had a rancid overwhelmingly smell and mix of hickory smoked bacon. This is gross. The enchiladas were equivalent to tomato sauce and shredded rotisserie chicken or canned chicken. All the dishes I bought I threw in the garbage immediately; I didn't need to eat any of this to get nauseous. This is not normal. Or how the food was last year when visiting town. Also the sandwich heated up for me was inedible because of the amount of wax paper glued to it from their sandwich oven / stale bread. Such a dissatisfying experience. Won't ever return read more

Very nice little sandwich, bakery and girlfood shop. We ordered for pickup. A "Rainbow" sandwich (shredded carrot and pickled red cabbage with hummus) and a tomato basil mozzarella pesto sandwich. In both cases they were very good but light on the spreads...very little hummus and very little pesto on the other so both were a bit dry. Worth trying again ... maybe ordering something different. read more

Be careful when ordering from Uber Eats. Pictures shows beautiful hero style bread and thick awesome looking sandwiches. I received 2 thin slices of standard bread, 2 slices of tomato, 1 slice of standard cheese, and 2 thin slices of cucumber for $11+. It didn't taste bad, just way below marketing and expectation. I figured I'd order dinner for later at the same time. I received a pre-packed cold, microwavable Chicken Franchise for $15.00. No pasta, no bread. Just cold chicken. When you order from Uber eats, you expect a ready to eat full meal or as they put it in the menu Entrée Please add pictures of each item to the Uber menu or clear descriptions that say, microwavable. Allow bread selections on sandwiches or something to avoid disappointment of what is described and what is received. If I could put this review on Uber I would but Uber shows Yelp reviews to help us select so, it's the only fair option. Really starting to go down hill service wise. Ordered sandwiches and salad sampler through the Toast App. Received an email 10 minutes after submitting that the order is waiting for authorization. Called the store and they said they would start working on it. The order took over 45 minutes to complete and had three errors. The young women was insincere and not very helpful. read more

Hey Panini, don't you be a meanie.... and not get a panini from here because they're delicious. I recommend the Chicken Parm and the Chicken Pesto Paninis. They're so warm, which is perfect for a cold CT day. Today I tried the avocado and cheddar sandwich and it was a true vegetarian delight. Bacon egg and cheese was the worst. Coffee was cold. Tables were not clean. Marginal at best.

This is probably my favorite local breakfast / lunch spot to splurge on, but do not come here if you are in ANY sort of rush. The employees at the Westport location are incredibly kind and there is great variety in the specialty food offerings. We will definitely return ! read more

It took us a while to find a decent place to eat in town and this is it! The food coming out of the kitchen may take a while; but it's pretty darn good. The burger and the sandwiches are all top notch. My co worker had a panini, which he said was ok; but next time in, he had a roast beef sandwich, which he said was very good. On the downside, the place gets a bit crowded and the sitting area is a bit cramped. I would give this place 5 stars, but the prices are on high side for the portion size. Aux Delices is a small chain of restaurants in Fairfield County, CT, with outposts in Darien, Greenwich, Riverside and Westport. It's Westport location is the former home of Arcudi's, a small family-style Italian and pizza restaurant. The decor is significantly upgraded from the Arcudi era and features both a take-away cantina/market section and a small bistro-style dining area inside and a number of outside tables in the style of a Paris sidewalk cafe for fair weather dining. The staff is attentive and eager to please, the service thoughtful if still learning some of the ropes of serving and the dining experience is quite pleasant. The menu focuses on fresh, in-season foods with a French twist in their preparation, and both our salads and our main courses were pleasant and well-balanced meals - not the fussiest food, as with bistros, but quite flavorful with decent portions and very fresh. Both my wife's cod dish and my own snapper dish were quite good, though in the spirit of a bistro, just sophisticated enough. The wine list is limited and French-oriented but with good selections and some offbeat choices that were quite interesting. Desserts were yummy, not over-delicate but presented nicely and definitely satisfying. The tab was a little high for relatively simple fine food - single glasses of wine in the $10-11 range, entrees about $24-28 - but we got out the door at a price that was about comparable to other upscale-but-not-over-the-top restaurants in the area, so no complaints overall. I know that Joe Arcudi had said that the rent was getting pretty exorbitant for this space, so that may be a factor. We'd definitely give it a second go, and probably a third or so if the dishes keep getting interesting. Fun without being too precious, intimate without being stuffy, a bit trendy but with lots of traditional touches that remind me of a true Bistro experience without being too overbearing. There are more everyday foods for the kids, too, but come prepared to try to enjoy a nice adult spot designed to appeal to all ages looking for a fresh experience. If I were them I'd knock the prices down about five or seven percent to sync the quality to the food with the quality of the experience, but for an occasional splurge we'll bite. read more

What happened to this place? No side salads, no soup of the day, rude and unaccomadating staff. Very disappointed.

Used to come here for breakfast with friends and came back for the nostalgia. Got here early and figured I would order an iced tea while I waited. One large iced tea (self serve in a plastic take away cup) is a nickel short of four dollars. I'm speechless. Then I couldn't find a single table that had been wiped off in the dining area to sit down. Had to ask the staff for napkins to wipe down a table so I could drink my $4 iced tea. I think I'll let this place live in my memory and find somewhere reasonably priced and clean. I have two common food allergies and it would have been difficult to order around them, so I took a pass on the similarly overpriced food. Why is there cheese in all the food? read more

Pastry here was average. I don't like to write about service usually unless it is unusually rude or exceptionally nice, and here it was unfortunately very rude. I had a few questions on the help-yourself hot drinks and maybe I was too full of questions that day, but a little help would have been nice. Anyway, the pour yourself matcha, and the honey ginger drink very good. But I'm grumpy enough in the mornings from my sleep deprived state with a baby, so it is the lack of friendliness that keeps me from returning. read more

The wonderful outdoor seating, on a beautiful day like today, caught my eye and it beckoned me to pull up my car and check out this new eatery in Westport. Touting three very successful businesses in Greenwich, Riverside and Darien, Aux Delices has recently opened its doors to a fourth gateway to yumminess in Westport. I had never tried food at Aux Delices, but their wonderful ads in all the area magazines had forced me to make a mental note to do so at the first chance I get. And today was my chance. As soon as I opened the door to walk in, I was hit by how busy the place was. It was literally "buzzing" with activity. The store is filled with tons of scrumptious choices all around. There are single serve containers of soups, single serve take-out meals, and an amazing variety of food items to choose from at the counter. You can have you fill of pasta, vegetarian burgers, grilled chicken, poached salmon, pasta salads, meatloaf, quiche, sandwiches and many healthy menu options. After perusing the entire selection, I settled for a Ham and Gruyere Quiche that was calling out to me! Greg, the owner suggested that I chose a side salad to go with it, and I agreed. After my first couple of bites, I had to stop Greg and tell him that this quiche has ruined me for all other quiches I may eat in the future. It was that good! Light, fluffy and airy (I seriously would like to know how the eggs were that light), the gruyere and ham were so excellent together in that quiche. I miss the days I would show up earlier then the store opened and be greeted by a smiling man who didn't care that I was early. I would order the #21 and for $6.75 would get a great big sandwich with huge slices of cheese and tomatoes and large basil leaves. It was something to behold and something I felt they took great pride in making for me. I would also pour myself some of their delicious honey ginger teas while I waited. Unfortunately, I don't feel like a welcome customer anymore. The happy smiling man is no longer there. The door stays locked until 8am. When the door is opened by a person, I can only assume is the manager, I barely get an acknowledgement, or a smile. This morning I got a sarcastic "go in then" and then had to wait for her with back turned towards me as she picked up the phone to speak to someone more important then the customer whom she just let in the door. Today, I ordered that $6.75 sandwich & tea because they're my favorites and despite the bad service, I wanted to treat myself, it had been awhile. So putting that bad attitude aside, I smiled and placed my order with another unsmiling person. Tea & sandwich in hand, I left for work. Unwrapping my sandwich this morning I am disappointed that there is no basil leaf in sight. I barely got a decent sized sandwich and the small cheese slices and small tomato slices looked like it was slapped together without a care. Here's the question I keep asking myself every time I leave this establishment. Why do I continue to go back? I think this morning I will just say, probably never again :( read more

I am speaking for the Westport location. This is now my 3rd time here, and the same has occurred all 3 times. Extremely rude staff. They were Out of specialized coffee and this morning a Saturday, breakfast time , they told me it would take to long to make the breakfast sandwiches. when I came in once with 20 minutes before closing they said they were closed. Are you kidding me ! Prime location , could be an amazing experience as I love the other location- by the staff and management here needs to change it up quickly. While walking out 3 other families were waiting/ leaving , and all brought up to me the same situation! We all were in shock , Change it up fast - we don't want it to go, but I won't be going back and you shouldn't waste your time. Until it changes. read more

Second visit for dinner tonight, this time with out-of-town family guests. Once again we were impressed with the service, the quality and quantity of food, and the friendliness of the staff. Certainly not 'cheap eats', but quite reasonably priced considering the food quality and location. Every entree we've ordered here has been delicious, served properly and exactly as advertised. I also got the beet salad, but was slightly underwhelmed by it, would have been better if the beets were oven roasted instead of boiled! hah but it was a very cute cafe, a wonderful environment and extremely helpful and friendly staff!! I stopped by with a friend of mine (from New Haven) on Sunday. It was just after 3PM and after my raves about the food, not the service, she was looking forward to trying out this location for the first time. We arrived to lights out and a sign on the door stating that due to it being a slow day, they were closing at 3. What annoyed me most is the fact that I am a regular customer and I saw two people inside (a male and a female employee) and when I tapped on the door, I wasn't acknowledged by either one. The female actually looked up and then pretended as though she didn't see me. I figured that since we made such a long haul to get there, they would be able to at least allow us to purchase a couple of prepackaged items, as we were both hungry. This location is a nice place to meet someone for lunch. They work hard to make it feel like more than just a cafe. If you order your food to stay, they will plate your food on a china plate and give you real silverware. Even when I bought a salad in a plastic container from the grab and go case, they offered to chop it and put it on a real plate. It made a difference! PS their baked goods are great - I've ordered a few birthday cakes from here and they are well-priced, pretty and tasty. Went today for breakfast at 8:30am. Given the name I was expecting a French experience. Thought some of the decor is reminiscent of a mix between a French bistro and old French "epicerie" (deli), I was disappointed that most of the breakfast foods offered are in fact typically American: scones, muffins, breakfast burritos, brownies, cookies, and the likes. There was one chocolate croissant, which I purchased with a latte. Both were actually delicious. On the way out I checked out the food that had been displayed for lunch customers and take-out and was in fact impressed with what I saw - the different salmons, cod, orzo salads, curry chicken, and more, all looked good; I will have to come back to taste those and add to my review. In the end, this place's name is a little misleading, but it may be a nice find. I am actually happy that this is not another French Bakery, as we have the authentic Isabelle and Vincent close down the road. read more

Although expensive the food here really is amazing and the staff is always so nice. They turn simple dishes into spectacular meals. The tofu and edamame shaker is delicious for a light healthier meal. But the eggplant parm there is unbeatable. read more

Salad sampler was a great option. Got the asian chicken peanut, blackbean, and orzo. Good combination and just hit the spot for a Saturday afternoon. Not too pricey for a good meal. Definitely would try it again. Seating area in the back is cozy and welcoming. read more

Food is really delicious and made with fresh ingredients. Optional are all healthy. They always have a nicely stocked take out fridge, as well as the food behind the counter you can order and get picked up. I love their crab cakes, but I wish they were crispy when heated up. I've had their salads and sandwiches. Some sandwiches are a bit pricey (the BLT), but your paying what is expected for the town your in. They also have a nice high ceiling room to sit and casually dine, as well as out door seating! read more

Twice I have eaten products from this store labelled as vegetarian that had chicken in them. TWICE. Anyone who is cautious of what they eat, whether by choice or because of an allergy or other health issue, eat elsewhere. Quality control does not exist here and employees are less than apologetic when notified. read more
