I review coffee - and the coffee at Maman today was excellent. After two disasters at other coffee shops in Westport, I stumbled across this very cute, very French cafe. I asked "do you have a proper barista?" And I got an emphatic "yes". And they do. And we got two well-presented, good tasting coffees. As an aside the pastries were pretty darn good too. read more

Came here on a weekend morning with a friend to grab coffee, catch up, get a little work done, and stay for lunch. You order at the front and they bring the food out to your table. A few things to note: there's no dedicated parking lot and very limited street parking. Also no wifi and small tables so not the best place to study/do work or come with a large group. Service felt a bit odd..... We were paying customers and ordered both breakfast and lunch, but during the lunch rush we were asked to move toward the back of the restaurant. It gave the impression that they don't really want people working or lingering which is fine if that's their policy. What was confusing was that there was a single person sitting to the table next to us also working who wasn't asked to move towards the back. She was there prior to us as well. The inconsistency made our experience feel very uncomfortable. Food was average. Nothing bad, but nothing particularly memorable either. Overall, not sure I'd go out of my way to come back. read more

We love this place and come for lunch often; Today, half of the sandwich bread was like bread stick dry and steak like cured meat like DRY, also we got ham and cheese croissant sandwich same problem, dry croissant tasted like days old, ham was dry and hard, no cheese in it or it melted out, and croissant was like a dried cracker. Currently obsessed with their collab coffee with Martha -- the Honeybutter Vanilla Latte with sweet corn foam and cornbread crumbs. It sounds like such a weird combo in theory, but somehow it totally works... and I absolutely love it! Also, the caramel cream sugar bun was to die for -- soft, sweet, and perfectly balanced. We wanted to sit inside the café and enjoy everything there, but every table was taken and it was way too cold to sit outside. Oh well, there's always next time! read more

Lovely little cafe/ bakery in Westport. I only got take out as the place was full and too long a wait The dishes Coming out of the kitchen looked quite appetizing . I'm sorry they do not sell the baguette as I wanted one so bad. We did get some croisants and other delicacies. We most certainly will try to go for brunch next time in Westport. They have ( small) parking in the back. Service was quite friendly. Not cheap!! read more

A hidden gem! Westport has a number of great restaurants and somehow we missed trying Maman despite hearing about it in NYC - what a mistake! This cozy little bakery has wonderful and creative pastries, amazing coffee and really great savory food too. We've been twice so far and really enjoyed everything. The pistachio croissant, almond mocha latte, chicken sandwich, even the drip coffee is really good. A great breakfast or brunch spot to frequent regularly! read more

Finally in CT! After going to Maman in nyc for brunch for years, I was so excited to see it open in Westport. The food is great, super fresh made on demand. There is no service per say - you'll have to wait in line and order at the counter, but it comes out pretty quickly even in rush hour. Desserts are incredibly tasty. I have frequented Maman in New York City many times and was pleasantly surprised to discover this location in Westport. Although it was a chilly November morning/afternoon, I was pleased to see plenty of patrons enjoying their coffee and meals outside on the day that I visited. I quickly realized that it was also because of the limited seating inside! As a popular location, the line to place an order was long, and all the tables were taken when we arrived. The line moved quickly, and we were able to place our food order, but it definitely took us a while, especially without a table and having to stand to receive our food and finally enjoy it. We enjoyed the Maman's Breakfast Sandwich, which I loved; the perfectly cooked egg and the roasted tomatoes really gave it depth of flavor. The brioche was good; however, it was a little overpowering given the ingredients inside. We were so hungry that we devoured it all! I was intrigued by the Martha Stewart collaboration happening right now, featuring seasonal fall sips and eats, and I opted to try the salted Vanilla Honeybutter Latte with sweet corn foam & cornbread crumbs (half-sweet, because I actually like to taste my espresso)! That was the highlight for me! My daughter enjoyed the pumpkin pie Matcha latte, which was really delicious and surprisingly, not super sweet. The location is in a prime area, within walking distance of many shops and experiences. If we were not rushing to get back home for another event, we definitely would have stayed around to get some shopping done at Anthropologie, J.Crew, and other stores. read more

Great spot for an afternoon coffee and snack. We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for a pick-me-up. The line was out the door - very busy. It's a smaller location with a bunch of tables and we were lucky to snag one. My wife said the lavender latte was delicious and we shared a couple of sweets. The Martha Stewart rum sugar Bundt cake was phenomenal, and the chocolate chip cookie was great too. The only thing that wasn't the best was how loud it got in there because it was so crowded. Too chilly to grab a table outside. Excited to go back and try more of the baked goods! read more

Pretty expensive for what I got. $24 for a coffee and a chicken salad sandwich. It wasn't great, coffee wasn't great, service was non existent. Parking is rough. I wouldn't go back. Aghhh, I miss that incredible, affordable soup place that use to be there, oh it was called Chefs table, it was fantastic! I don't know the target clientele but it's not great for Moms grabbing a kite lunch! I cld get Bronzino for $24 bucks ffs! read more

genuinely the worst matcha i have ever had in my life. it was chunky when the barista handed it to me but i mixed it up as best as possible. tasted bitter and sour, like an aspirin that melted on your tongue. waste of $9 read more

I am so happy Maman has finally come to Westport! Now I don't have to drive to Greenwich for the delicious baked good! The croissants are as good as any French pastry shops and my kids loved the cookies and brownies. The coffee is delicious unlike so many other place in town. The manager Petagaye is friendly and warm! This has become my weekly go to spot. I will be trying their food on my next visit! read more
