Okay! So I noticed my oil getting low on my car but I couldn't get the hood open because the lever was broken to pop the hood. I then Called the Mini Cooper dealership in signal hill they said they could put oil in it. I took my car this morning and the. The said they couldn't do it I would need to buy a new lever cable which is $395 plus labor which is $60. I then took my keys n left. I went back to work my Coworker told me about a man in Carson name Gustavo that works on cars I called but he was out on a parts run so I called back a few hrs later, he was with a customer so I waited for 15 (I'm usually inpatient but I waited anyway) he then advised me over the phone he could fix the lever just to bring it anytime. So I took it after work, he and another guy quickly started seeing what they could do when I drove up. They fixed the lever in 30mins he washed my car and had it shinning better then when I bought it. I was so happy I asked him how much he said nothing. So I've been here once before because I was rear-ended, and the work Gustavo did was great. I had to come again after scraping the corner of my front bumper pretty badly on a sidewalk. This scratch was deep. I mean grooves so deep it was in the 70s. Canyons that rivaled Zion National Park. Anyway, I knew I had to go to Gustavo because he did such a great job last time. Amazing work! This place does an excellent job. Nice clean work. Excellent customer service. Got my car back when they promised. Took in my 2015 Kia for front bumper repair (110 s fwy and a truck dropped a cone and got stuck under my car and cracked my bumper) my insurance company sent me to another location and they told me they couldn't even look at it till Thursday (1 week later) took my car in to Avalon Collision had it back in 3 days. I also just took in my 2007 Chevy Tahoe because my top AC control unit (to control back vents) fell. Screw popped off. I took it to Win Chevrolet in Carson and they idiots there told me the brackets were broken and it would costs $150. Took it to Avalon Collision asked for Gustavo and he fixed it at N/C I still payed a little something because I thought it was so nice of him to fix it for me. And guess what the brackets were NOT broken. Win Chev are liars. Thx Gustavo for always being honest and professional and the good body work on my Kia. Him and all the staff and nice genuine people. Terrible job. I made a mistake taking my car here to get fixed. The body work they did cracked after 2 years and paint job was cheap too and started fading. In September 2015 I was the victim of a hit and run and, since I only had liability insurance, I had to pay for the repairs myself. I explained this to Gustavo (he's the manager), and he worked with me by giving me a reasonable repair estimate. Since the price was good and my car is 11 years old, I would've been happy with just a mediocre repair job. I received Top Notch service from Gustavo the owner himself on my beloved 2015 Mazda 3 which is a special Pearl White Color. I've had previous body shop work completed on my vehicle before from other reputable name brand body shops like Car Star Collision and the service I received at those locations was crap compared to the work and service i received here at Avalon Collision & Service. I won't ever go anywhere else. The work done on my "snowflake" car was exemplary and it matched the customer service. Gustavo not only helped me with dealing with Liberty Mutual (not my insurance) but also with the claim itself, I have an extremely busy work schedule and he took it upon himself to take the pictures and send them to the claim adjuster and handle it for me. When it came time to repair my vehicle, he himself did me the favor of dropping me off at the car rental location because obviously Enterprise can't get their system together and pick someone up even when you schedule a pick up ahead of time. Not only did he go above and beyond already with the above stated but he also was gracious enough to touch up a few parts on my vehicle that needed some TLC, my bumper had a few scratches and bruises and was a sore to see. I had previously inquired at Car Star about the same scratches and they blatantly told me I would need to replace my entire bumper and that it couldn't be fixed, well that was a bunch of BS because Gustavo was able to take care of it. Also my vehicle was spotless when returned to me, mind you when i dropped it off to get the work done i had just spilled dirt from a plant in my passenger front seat and hadnt washed it in weeks. He was extremely helpful and gained my complete trust with his service and i felt comfortable enough to inquire and ask him about other issues i was having with the vehicle non collision related and he was so helpful and even gave me honest reccomendations. I don't think I'll ever go anywhere else if i need work done on my vehicle, and will recommend him to all of my friends, family and network.
