I called ahead for an appointment for gel french ombre. I specifically asked if they had someone who knows how to do it and also told them that I had a limited time to get it done so I wanted someone who knows what they are doing. They said yes and to come in now. When I arrived they paired me with a lady and we started with a pedicure. Simple gel pedicure and it went fine. Next was French gel ombre... I immediately got the feeling that she didn't know what she was doing and she applied the base color as a pink that just did not make sense for what I was asking for. I showed her a picture. Before we even started she kept going up to different workers and asking them something. When she returned she started applying the french white she did one of my nails as a regular french and the other an attempt at at ombre. It looked so bad that I told her I will choose something else. I choose a nail design and as she began to work it looked bad too at that point I had been there for 2 hours and I just left with nude base. Paid 93$! For a basic pedicure and look at my simple nude gel manicure results! I left with a chipped nail underneath my polish and pieces of fuzz trapped underneath polish. Don't go to her, she's extremely unsanitary. During my pedicure with her the pumice stone sponge fell and she picked it up and kept scrubbing my feet with it. She used towels on me that fell on the floor numerous amount of times. While using the sugar scrub she would get some out the jar... scrub my legs and feet.. then put the same hand back in the jar to get more! So whoever she does after me have my dead skin cells on them. . She was also in the phone for majority of the time. Just plain rude and disgusting. read more

i've been here for about 2-3 years and never had any issues with anything. However, i specifically wanted to pay a certain way. When i had asked i wanted to pay cash first and the remaining balance on my card. the lady charged $100 after i told her not to. Instead to get my refund back, i had to pay in cash because i had no more money in my account after she charged me. So now i had spent $188 to my nails and toes when it was never that amount and i would have to wait 2-3 days to get refunded. this is ridiculous i have no money in order for me to do the things i needed to do. read more

I really wanted to like this place! It's new, spacious and fully staffed but after several tries I realized that they are not consistent especially for the price. I thought I got lucky when I found Kristina. The 1st couple of times she gave me a fill and it was fine. Today was my 1st time getting a full set with her and it's so bad that I'm going to have to go somewhere else to redo, I invested 2 hours here on a warm Saturday to walk out with crooked and sticking up nails. I noticed how bad they were after paying and once I was in my car. This is GOODBYE for me! Over priced, don't have the air high enough and disappointing. There are several crooked nails and they are mostly standing straight up instead of built down. Everyone has one or mite crooked finger bug you don't built the nail in that same direction. Never had this issue before. I would normally speak up but since I noticed when I was in my car decided it wasn't worth spending another 45 mins there to fix it. Me and my friend went to the nail shop and the ladies were extremely rude to us. After getting our pedicures I then walked to the front to pay with my card and I signed the paper . I left and my friend was still there when it was time for her to pay they told my friend I did not pay and was she going to pay for me ? The lady who had done my pedicure told them I did not pay for my services when the lady clearly took my card and gave me a receipt after . They were extremely racist and assumed because I was black that I didn't pay . When In reality they then spoke in their language and said I did pay it was a mistake . Cindy really did the damn thing. Girl let me tell you she took off an old set I had for a few months. She did it very gently and the new set she did was fire. I asked for stiletto with gel medium length and honey she gave me exactly what I asked for. For my nails I was charged 63 for take off a cuticle trim and a full set with the shape and gel $63 is what I expected to pay. They are open again!!! I love this place! they are clean and the chairs are clean and spaced apart not just for Covid but in general! My nail tech took her time and made sure my nails and skin was properly cut and moisturized. Everyone wore a mask and they even put a glass case separator when you're getting ur nails done one the table! I live in the neighborhood and saw that there was a new nail salon. I'd been actively searching for a new spot as my "tried and true" places seem to have lost their sparkle. So, Avalon to the rescue! I was greeted by a very cheerful receptionist who seated me right away. A tech came over to my station and added the nail tips on, but couldn't complete the acrylic. I began to feel a little shaky about the nail bar, but luckily my fears were calmed by sweet Mai. She took her time to ensure that the acrylic was applied evenly and that each was shaped correctly. She shared sweet stories about her family and was really friendly. I plan to return in a few weeks for a pedicure. The pedicure spa chairs look great and there's even a foot spa "bar" for large groups. The design is gorgeous, very modern glam. If my next visit is as successful as today's, this may become my new nail spot. read more

Want to get COVID?? Come here! Came here last week for the first time. Unfortunately I got tended by by two people. One was Lisa who did my feet. She was great. Then the person who did my hands happened to be the receptionist. This lady didn't wear any gloves at all and started working on me. Soon after starting maybe 10 mins she gets up to take payments of other customers. Comes back to me with dirty hands. Gets back up to tend to more customers and more payments. So aside from my manicure taking forever because she was so focused on the phones and tending to people she wasn't following and COVID guidelines and straight up got me sick. Now I'm stuck without work recovering because this shop DOES NOT FOLLOW COVID HEALTH GUIDELINES! so if you don't mind getting this damn virus totally come pay $120!! I recently came in for the first time with my friend and scheduled appointments a day before. I got there 10 min. early and they took me in after waiting 5 min. (My friend came in a bit later since on a phone call.) My friend still waited 20 minutes since after getting seated in the pedicure spa chair. To make things worse, they forgot about her and even took in a client that came later. To top it off even, they had one of the tech's work on that other client's nails first! My friend just ended up not getting any mani/pedi done that day, wasted 20 minutes with nothing done and decided it was better to just leave since the service here was so horrible. There was lack of communication with the staff and later the reception lady told me that she was very sorry to me and for my friend, that if she came back now there will be one staff member to work on her nails right away. But my friend was very upset and said no it was okay. I told the reception lady that my friend wasn't coming back. If they had communicated and told her the whole situation beforehand earlier as she had told me, then my friend would had patiently waited. Overall, theres a big lack of miscommunication within the salon staff, very understaffed. And even though all the techs were busy with a client; they still took in a few walk-in's while I was there and had them wait a very long time too. Even one of the nail tech lady at the front reception desk was going back and forth at the same time working on one customer's manicure.. Plus taking customers payments after they were done and answering phone calls. The salon had no music in the background which made the time go by so much slower and it didn't even help with hearing all the staff members talking out loud to each other across the room, speaking in other language, even one was on personal calls while working. Although the nail tech that worked on my nails did a great job, that's the reason I am giving 2 stars. Beware- Please don't waste your time coming here or making an appointment. They can improve by having better communication within the staff, not taking any walk-ins when busy & understaffed, adding a receptionist at the front desk and get more staff members on the floor. read more
