I've been a tenant at Avalon for a year now and figured it's a good time to write a review. First off it was a process to sign up and get an account rolling. Computers are not my specialty! But I was compelled to do so after receiving what I perceive as continuous excellent customer service by a young gentleman from this complex since the day my husband and I moved in. Chapter 1. Our move in date was a disaster do to our movers damaging a few pieces of our antique furniture , and it was raining! To expedite the move we opted into putting our possessions directly into the garage, and we would sort it out later. Also part of the plan to get the movers out of here quicker. Fast forward 2 days. We have been sleeping on an air mattress In our bare apartment while we muster up the energy to start moving our stuff in from the garage. After a few trips up the stairs and on the brink of tears from the task ahead, I pulled out a camping chair, faced it toward the seemingly endless pile of boxes and furniture in the fully stuffed garage,put my head in my hands and took a minute to reflect on the amount of stuff that two 55 year old people could acquire. That's when I met Brian for the first time. He was walking by and introduced himself and asked if I was ok? First instinct was to cry and say no! But I was able to mutter some incoherent mumble jumble. I'm sure he was taken back but it didn't show in his demeanor. After a few minutes of cordial conversation, Brian was climbing through our stack of Mt Everest sized box pile helping me find my box with our phone and answering machine. I heard a sound from the back of the pile that sounded like his mission was a success, and after a few moments he appeared with the holy grail that I needed to get our life's back on track. He then gave me a number to a moving company that could have a few guys out the next morning to help move the rest of the items into our new home. Being skeptical with movers, since our last few have been less than acceptable, My husband decided to give the recommended company a call. Eckerts movers were out the same day and had our whole house in and out of the garage in two hours time! Great recommendation!! Chapter 2. Over the last year we have had a few maintenance items that needed addressed, and they were handled with the utmost professionalism by either Brian or someone from the team in a timely fashion. This was extremely pleasant compared to previous experiences with our last few apartments. Everyone that works here is friendly and smile when you see them, this is a testament to being happy employees, which shows me that the company values them. There is a young lady that works here as well that is very pleasant, I wish I could remember her name!? Although our rent has just gone up, we plan on staying for another lease term because of the level of service that has been provided. I can not say enough good things about Avalon Vista! * The staff: Office ladies - Amazingly professional and always go above and beyond their job scope to help out! Maintenance - These guys from top to bottom have always treated me with nothing but respect. The pool guy - Beau (I believe that is his name) is always smiling and very courteous. * The grounds: Completely gorgeous! The design team that thought up everything from plant and tree placement A++ The BBQ and Pool area are just great! Hello - 24 HR GYM down the walkway from me!!! I was so excited that I could cancel my other membership and save a couple bucks a month!! There is even a place for people with furry friends to run and play! (The one thing I've noticed is that Allot of residents don't use the "FREE" waste bags and dispose of their furry friends stuff) That is really sad because it there for them at no charge, so why not use it? AA++ No Smoking grounds!!! I think this is awesome sauce! I just wish that people would obey the rental agreement they signed and respect others and NOT smoke on the premises and if they have friends that smoke to tell them to walk to the street and do there dirtiness... So basically I'm not sure why there are negative reviews on here, kind of sounds like these people shouldn't be living in "AN APARTMENT" if your going to complain about noise when you say you live by the pool...um I'm sure you picked that apartment, because I picked mine and I especially didn't want to hear pool / BBQ parties at night, so I am in the back corner of the complex. Renters have to know a New Construction building is new, there will always be kinks that need ironed out. From what I've read of the negative reviews, it sounds like everyone from Maintenance to front Office have gone out of their way to fix things. As far toilets over flowing, well its kind of common sense that you should never put Tampons, hair or wet wipes down them because you are asking for trouble...especially since they're water saving ones! There is an old saying: If you don't like things, change them. As far as Avalon Vista and my relationship - We're Solid! Best Staff, Best Location and most of all Best apartments I've ever lived in! Future Avalon Vista residents: If your looking for complete silence and no neighbors, well I would say to go find a cute little house in the country because if you move to an apartment, you should expect to be around people with families, hear those said people, at all hours of the night above / below and around... This is my honest review. In the Avalon Vista apartments there is no such thing as privacy, the maintenance team enters at any time without notice when there is nobody in the apartment, and then they will lie and say they did give notice afterwards. Also the maintenance man (Brian), is very rude especially with female residents. He is vindictive and gets testy very quickly when he finds out complaints have been made against him for his attitude. If you agree with him and the staff, then you remain on their good side. You must walk on eggshells at Avalon Vista for fear of retaliation, I warn you. The apartment looks great on the outside, but the walls, ceiling and floors are very thin, which allows you to hear the footsteps, converstations, TVs, and the pets of your neighbors. Not only is it loud within the apartment but outside as well, because the office staff allows noisy residents to run amok around the apartment. There is also a guy who revs up his motocycle for 20 minutes or so every morning, starting around 5 am, waking me up and several of my neighbors. Complaints have been made, nothing has been done. The worst part is that when you make a complaint at the office, the head manager acts like she will do something about it, but the truth is that she does absolutely nothing to resolve the situation, and allows issues to fall through the cracks, to never be dealt with. Office staff appears to be too young and immature to handle running an apartment complex in a responsible and professional manner. I regret living in Avalon Vista, after the couple of months I have been here, my best advice is... DO NOT MOVE TO Avalon Vista if you value your peace, dont like being lied to, ignored and treated as if you are crazy for wanting things to improve. read more

I absolutely love living here! The staff is always so helpful, in anyway they can be. From the office, Jordan, Eileen, and Hannah to the maintenance crew, of Brian, Richard, and Chris. The residents are friendly. The grounds are always kept clean, and well maintained. The pool is beautiful, and I especially love, that it is salt water! The apartments are new! They are spacious, with high ceilings, and large windows. They come with outlets, that allow for usb connection. The kitchen has more than enough cupboard space, all within easy reach. The bedrooms all have walk-in closets. The bathrooms have double sinks. The washer and dryer have their own hidden space. The units come with heat and air-conditioning. If you don't want to park in your garage, the parking area, is ample, and there is always a parking space available and close by, for you and your guests. The area is quiet, and conveniently located, near 78. Farmer's Market is every Saturday, and within walking distance. Costco is just a little over a mile away, and the movie theaters are close by too. If you have a dog, as I do, you don't have to run around looking for doggie bags. The grounds, are overflowing with pet stations, for easy clean up. We even have a self-service dog washing station :) I am so glad I came to live here! This place is the epitome of classy living, the amenities exceed anything you would expect from an apartment community. The gym is state of the art. The salt water pool and jacuzzi are top notch. There is even a flat screen tv above the fire place that you can watch while your in the jacuzzi. My son and I have been utilizing the club house with the 80" TV to watch Padre and Stanley cup playoff games while we are using the bbq's. The place is kept clean even though it's under construction. The location of the complex is great as well. Within a stones throw you can be having Pho from the best kept secret in North county or tossing back a few cold ones at Oggies pizza. And don't get me started on the farmers market that is nearby in the courthouse parking lot every Saturday. The ladies in the office are all great. And Brian and the rest of the maintenance staff are true professionals that obviously take pride in there work and the property. As a industry professional, I was truly amazed by the Product Avalon has developed in Vista, CA. The property is called Avalon Vista, a gem of the Avalon Bay portfolio. I live in the neighborhood, and pass by the Avalon Vista property to and from work. The exterior and grounds always seem to be kept up. I'm not in the market for a luxury apartment (Home Owner), however i was quite curious to meet the staff of such a beautiful property in my neighborhood. I stopped in an was greeted by Nick. I made it clear from the beginning, I did not want to take up time as I am not a prospect, Nick took time out anyway to talk about the property and amenities. It was good info to pass on to co-workers etc. While there Nick introduced me to Hillary and Brooke. The office staff vibe was so cool, calm and relaxing it truly made me feel welcomed. I only write this review to express to all the people out their looking for an apartment home, to consider Avalon Vista. read more

My first Yelp!!! I'm usually not one to compliment or complain, but I feel compelled to write this review based on hands down the best customer service I've ever received! The maintenance guys here at Avalon have been amazing! Brian is STELLAR! After we had our baby, living on the third floor was a project. Brian was like Superman, always happened to be around when I needed help most, from carrying groceries up when he sees me struggling, to even keeping an eye on my newborn in the car while I ran upstairs to grab my wallet so I didn't have to lug her back upstairs. My dog even loves him and she hates everyone. I was sad to see our time here come to an end when my husbands job transferred us back east. We are now settled in at our new place and realize the bar was set extremely high during our stay in Avalon. We haven't had the same luck with the office and maintenance team here so far:( A big shout out to the entire staff at Avalon!!! read more

Update...after my review written on 10/11/2015...Isreal the maintence and janitor from Avalon Vista responded unprofessionally. He also attached a photo of himself half nude and attacked me using foul language and telling me to go live somewhere else! This is a prime example of how residents at Avolon Vista get treated if they complain about what is really going on there. Wow ! I have not seen this level of service in many years ! Avalon Vista is the best apartment complex (even though still under going construction) by far ! From the moment Ms. Zoya gave me a tour of the apartment and after I moved in ... she has been extra amazing in her professionalism and friendly help. Anyone interested in brand new clean beautiful spacious clean apartments with exceptional amenities and wow wow the pool area and the gym are spectacular. Brian in maintenance is fabulous ! It was so great working with the team at Avalon Vista on Saturday while serving Ice Cream to their residents! They worked with us to practice safe social distancing by having people stationed 6' apart while in line, they encouraged everyone to wear facial coverings, and everything was organized and ran so smoothly! Not only do they value their residents by thanking them for staying home and doing their part, they are supporting small local businesses like us here at Sweet Treats! Newly built apartments and townhouses that have everything you'd want and need all in one environment. Its less than 5 minutes from Hwy 78. With all your stores you'd need for shopping with in 10 minute drive. Amenities: -The fitness center is available 24/7 and the equipment is better than any gym I've ever worked out in. -Salt water pool and jacuzzi. -Barbecue area with 60" -In unit washer and dryers. Shout out to Jordan, Eileen, Vanessa and Zoya! You ladies all assisted me with phenomenal service. Answered ever question I had and accommodated all my needs and wants I wanted within my new home. I love this place! I moved from Washington state down here and they made it so much easier. They were super helpful while getting everything situated from another state. They answered all my question and made this process as smooth as moving can be. I have a Great Dane and was one of the only apartments that were extremely pet friendly that we found. They are smile and great you when your walking around the complex. The staff goes beyond and above for you and I couldn't imagine wanting to live anywhere else. The Avalon Vista apartments are wonderful. Currently they are still finishing up a few buildings, however you are never disturbed by any load noises. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Jordan and Eileen have been extremely helpful since I moved in and Israel the on-site maintenance manager is very friendly and eager to assist in anyway. The quality of the apartments and amenities is of excellent caliber to the point that you think you are living in a vacation resort. The neighborhood is friendly and inviting and near to all necessary stores, churches, and schools. I strongly recommend moving here. read more

Don't be fooled by the luxurious looking outside. There's a number of things wrong with this community but I'll go with my favorite. PARKING HERE IS A B**ch. How is it that I pay damn near 2600 for rent and not be able to park on the inside of my community something needs to be done. Oh and when brought up to management they'll say you can put your name on a list for an additional parking pass for $40 extra a month on top of your rent. Not only that if you park on the street where you are forced to you'll get a ticket every 1st and 4th Monday ******PLEASE FIX THIS PROBLEM read more

I have been living in this community for almost 3 years now and I am very pleased to have workers like Stan Stafford. He is one of the nicest person that i know. He always has a smile on his face always laughing no matter what type of job he has to do for the apartment complex. He also keeps everything professional. He has never turned down any maintenance request and keeps the area clean when he comes to fix it. Avalon Vista is EXCELLENT. Great new community with all the amenities you could ever want in life. The application process takes just minutes, and most importantly, the office and maintenance staff are very very at tentative you all your wants & needs. This place is the HAMPTONS of Vista, maybe even North County. Location is superb, freeways access is great, and the community, is beautiful. Fell in love with the complex and apartment when I first toured it . Decided on the spot this is the place for me. Spacious floor plan, tall 9'ceilings, wood flooring in common areas, massive closet space and tons of counter space in the open kitchen. Eileen and the staff were fabulous.
