However, appointment can only be made with a deposit of $20 per person. They sent me instructions by text msg. I sent venmo of $20 per person and had to screenshot and send a text to confirm before the appointment was made. Although a hassle, I can understand. However, the issue began on the date of our appointment. I got to the establishment for our 11am appointment to realize that their doors were locked and were completely closed. I called and they then told me that one of the technicians had gotten into an accident and will be 15 mins late, but they will have another technician open the door. We were okay with that... 30 minutes later, we were still standing outside in 80+ degree heat. Mind you that I drove an hour to get here from LA. We were let inside at 11:40am. After changing, we were told to lay down. However, the other technician still didn't arrive, so we laid there and talked. The service started when she walked in at 11:55am. They only have two different services and we went with their 90 minute Kaori Treatment ($138). The hair wash was decent and relaxing. The products smelled wonderful... However, the technician I had seemed inexperienced. The "lifting" facial was a joke as she just patted my face and put a mask on it. When we were told to get dressed for the blow dry, it was 12:55pm. Definitely not a 90 minute service as were seated for approximately 10-15 minutes to blow dry our hair before our service was completely over. It was about a 75 minute service. Also, they do not offer tea or snacks. I was so thirsty, I had to ask for water. Other reviews talked about a face and scalp consultation which was was not offered to us. We never got any analysis period. At the time of payment, they gave us a discount due to the troubles. However, they didn't deduct that deposit we had made and they had trouble confirming it with whomever they were speaking with. I ended up showing them the text log with the screenshot of payment. As this is a second location, I expected at least the basic standard of care. I came to relax, but I the whole situation stressed me out and I was disappointed. I should have learned by now not to trust Instagram influencers. That being said, I will be returning to my usual hair spa.

Small location very private but noisy. Holly was my tech. She was the only one in there for the first 1/2 of my 90 minute service, which meant during the service she was also the receptionist. She was on her phone a lot, I was rather annoyed by her answering calls in what is supposed to be a relaxing service. The service was ok, going from touching her phone to my face wasn't my favorite. Very heavy, rough hands. I have fine hair and it was a lot of pulling. Massage was fine still very heavy handed and the position to sit in at the end was not comfortable, maybe because I'm a taller? I'm not sure. Not sure if they were having plumbing issues, but the water was cold the whole service. It warmed only slightly but not comfortable. What was most concerning was how tangled my hair was at the end. I have never seen my hair in such a knotted mess. Yes she was able to detangle, by pulling it apart and ripping the hair. The tangles were caused by poor products and shampoo technique. A good conditioner and proper rinsing would never leave my hair like that, the 90minite service was also supposed to include blowdry, I was told to pay $10 more. I will not be returning. I wish them luck and hope they can use this as a reference to make the experience better. There are MANY head spas in the area that take better care of the client for the same price.

They also give a complimentary beverage and have a list of nonalcoholic and alcoholic along with soft drinks and water. Only downside was the parking lot. But as long as people come and go shouldn't be to much of a problem. Would highly recommend coming here. And would definitely come back again if I'm in the area and in need of a pedicure/manicure.

Suggesting I pay for an entirely new set rather than standing behind your work was disappointing. While I understand accidents can happen, accountability is measured by how a business resolves them. Unfortunately, my overall experience--from the injury to the quality of the services and the resolution offered--did not meet the standards expected from a salon with your pricing. I stand by my review and hope this feedback leads to improved training, quality control, and customer care for future clients. By the way, still no call from a "manager."

I brought my own hair mask and hair brush that I using after inside my car. I was hoping there was such a thing in the states and there was! I researched locations near me and came across one in Anaheim. So, it was not near me, but their were several Head SPA 8n the South Bay. I really wanted to have one that was close authentic. A 31 mile drive from Palos Verdes to Anaheim, and it was worth it. My husband and I got the 90 min VIP. Didn't know what to expect, but I was so relaxed, I think I fell asleep. I almost couldn't get off the table, lol. And this was on a Sunday, so if I do this after work, I might not wake up. I got Ann and she was excellent. Head massage and Facial. Who doesn't like the hair wash when you go get a haircut? That lasts only 5 minutes, but this, it feels like forever. Stress and tension washes away. I wish I knew this was a "Thing". I booked the Rejuvenation Treatment and I can honestly say this was one of the most relaxing self-care experiences I've had in a long time. The treatment started with a professional scalp analysis, which was really interesting because it showed exactly what my scalp needed and helped customize the entire experience. From there, they did a deep scalp cleanse and exfoliation, followed by an amazing essential oil scalp, neck & shoulder massage that felt absolutely amazing (Shoutout to Molly for rubbing out my knots!)
