I also got to exchange some words with the owner while I was there and from what I experienced he seemed like a true gentleman who really takes care of his clients and also of the people that work there. I want to clarify. Arsen was very nice, but the car I bought isn't. While that sounds like my fault, I don't think you should be selling a car that will break down within a month of its sale. I had to fix the headlights, and I still have to fix the horn. Today on my way to buy tools and fix the car, it broke down. Obviously there was no in shop mechanic because a blind bat could have seen all the problems with my car. Again, Arsen was amazing. Purchased a vehicle from Sarah. Very professional and helpful. Everyone in the office seemed friendly. That's nice in all, however I don't feel like they really did their due diligence when it came to informing me of the issues that were going on with the car I purchased. First off, they advertised that the car included a navigation system which was completely false. But I overlooked that because I actually liked the car when I saw it and thought it would be perfect for my mom. When I asked if the car had been serviced, they told me it had been, but I was skeptical considering there was no windshield washer fluid but I figured I'd just add some later so no big deal. I took it for a test drive and it seemed great so I bought it with cash. Not even 8 hours sitting in my driveway, I find that the car has a gas leak. And what's wild is that it was something that should have been so obvious had they actually done maintenance or an inspection on the car prior to putting it on the market. When I notified them of the leak, they did agree to pay 50% of the cost to repair it. They were nice about it but it's annoying that something so significant as this was missed and not communicated. They referred me to their mechanic partner, Johnson Auto to do the work and I also requested they do an inspection while repairing the gas line. Again, very professional and nice people however the communication is severely lacking. They only recommended changing my brake pads, but didn't even tell me that my windshield washer fluid container wasn't able to hold washer fluid. I found that out when I went to pour some in and it went straight through the the car. The report said "windshield fl. Fail" however, the tech did not verbally communicate what that meant and only focused on the brake pads so I had no clue about this issue until I learned the hard way. Normally, when you pay for an inspection, you are supposed to be informed of these things at the time of closing out, so it's strange that I wasn't informed. The "inspection report" also said that the suspension "passed" however when I took it in to get the brake pads replaced per recommendation, the mechanic informed me that the front right lower ball joint is extremely loose and was surprised that I actually made it to Illinois in it all the way from Utah. He couldn't stress enough how lucky I was to not have the wheel pop off on me while driving on the highway. Essentially, I was driving a death trap on the highway and I didn't even realize it. Due to the nature of the severity of these issues, it's clear the sales team at Avanesyan didn't do their due diligence on this vehicle and only told me what I wanted to hear. I understand the buyer has some burden of responsibility in checking, but from a morality perspective, the seller should also do their due diligence to ensure the vehicle is SAFE. Anything less than this is just bad business. But for real, shame on you guys for not being honest about the "inspection" or "maintenance" you claim you did on this car prior to selling it. Arsen helped me find my car and he was a breath for fresh air. Most car sales men come across cocky and fake but he had a genuine smile the moment he rolled up to us on his Hoover board. He answered any questions we had about all the vehicles we looked at with out being pushy about us test driving or purchasing any of the cars we looked at. I bought a Toyota Tacoma. They didn't reseal the window or replace the faulty electrical harness when salvaging the vehicle. It seems like they got it working just enough and threw it out to the first sucker to buy it (me). Water had been leaking in over that last few months and eroding the rest of the electrical harnesses. I now have to spend $11,000 to replace everything. I then come to find out these harnesses were already corroded when I was sold the car. Just worse now. The horn didn't work, tire sensors weren't working, battery was being drained and had to be jump started occasionally, and other things I thought were an easy fix. I don't even know how they got it past emissions if the horn didn't work or what made them think they could sell it like that. I know I sign the "AS IS" agreement and have to be responsible for my choices but come on. This is pretty bad. Either very lazy or flat out dishonest. Doesn't matter because both are enough to keep me away forever and hopefully help others do the same. read more

This place left me feeling slimy and like I had been taken advantage of. Exhibit a) look at all of the fake reviews they posted for themselves on Google. Happily Yelp catches their trick and hides the fake reviews. But look at all of the Google reviews from people with weird names who have never reviewed anything else before. That tells you what kind of business this is. Also the virtue signaling with the Books of Mormon in the waiting room. It felt like they were trying to trick me into believing that they are honest. Other than the yucky feeling that we had been taken advantage of, my main complaint is the crappy detail job. Before purchasing we noticed the chunks of broken glass in the cup holders and different weird places, but it didn't occur to me that they wouldn't have at least vacuumed the seats until I got multiple cuts from shards of glass. It's a bad feeling to have to treat a brand new car like a danger zone, and like we needed to spend a bunch of extra money to de-gunk the sticky crevices. Besides that, it took them several days to return my texts and phone call. Then when we drove down there it took us forever just to get their attention to come talk to us. And we legit paid full price and yet the guy still made me feel like we were harming their family by cheating them out of a bunch of the extra fees they tried to add on. Seriously. Zero wiggle room on the price. So I am left with this slimy feeling--driving around this car and wondering if it is just going to break down at any moment like the other real reviewers. My only consolation is that we got a quick inspection from EP Auto which was great. I only wish they had had time for a full inspection. Btw they are super old school so if you do decide to purchase from here make sure to bring a check book if you still have such a thing. read more

I don't know what any of these negative reviewers are talking about. And no, I am not a fake buyer. Pics of my car are attached to prove I purchased it from Avanesyan Motors. Their team has bent over backward for me. I don't want to set a precedence for them, but I'm just another buyer who bought a cheaper-than-average car from their lot. The new battery was faulty, and I was locked out of the car. I texted them and within 30 minutes, they were at my house, unlocked my door, jump-started the car, and drove it back to their dealership to fix it. They are replacing the battery (which was clearly brand new and faulty), removing the stupid GPS system that the auction company put on it, replacing the Bluetooth system in the car, and the left rear-view mirror, as the blindspot monitoring system isn't functioning because that mirror's electronics aren't working. Along with picking up my car, they gave me a loaner that is the same make and model as the one I bought (a Mazda MX-5 Miata.) I told them I didn't care what car they loaned me, that I was just grateful they were doing it. They insisted on it being the same make and model because they knew my reasons for buying the car I bought. Every time I text them for follow-up, they respond with the details I need to know they are sorting all the issues we agreed upon when I bought it, plus the couple that have crept up after purchase. I read their other reviews, and it leaves me scratching my head. As with all used cars, take it to a dealership for the brand the car is and pay for them to give it a thorough inspection. Tell them what all you know is wrong with it, and have them look for other issues associated with the things you know are not perfect about it and EVERYTHING else. Mazda spent 5 hours with my car, pointed out the issues, and Avanesyan agreed to fix almost all of them. The rest, I'll do myself. No big deal. It's 6 years old and can't be perfect. You can also buy a third-party warranty from them that covers bumper-to-bumper for up to 84 MONTHS with $100 deductible per occurrence. You people who bought used European cars and who are now crying about it should have ponied up for a warranty. European cars are garbage. I'll bet none of you who are crying about your broken down car bought the third-party-warranty. I guess you couldn't afford it after spending so much on a car meant to impress other people. Somebody seriously bought a used Bentley from them? Talk about a cry for attention from a glutton for punishment! If you can't afford the warranty, you can't afford the car and Bentleys are maintenance nightmares wrapped in leather, wood and chrome. ' jokes on you! Maybe they have changed since the previous reviews were posted, and I will definitely change my review if things do go south, but I have never been treated this well by a dealership, and I've owned cars from manufacturers that are known for a positive dealer experience. We bought a car from them last month. Sarah was great and tried hard to be helpful. However, they did some fraudulent things to hide the vehicle's issues. They reset all of the systems that monitor the engine and emissions by disconnecting the battery. Their claim was that they put a new battery in. However, that masked the error codes the indicated the problems with the engine and emissions systems, which take about a week's worth of driving to fully reset. We tried for several weeks to resolve the issue with them. After four or five messages for the manager, he finally called us back (three weeks later) and wouldn't do anything to try to make the situation right other than a very unsatisfactory offer to get us into one of their other vehicles. NEVER EVER buy anything from this company!!! I purchased a 2018 BMW X-1 from them and have problems ever since. Once I drove the car home the oil light came on. I took it back to them and was there for 2 weeks! While they had my car someone took a bunch of people for a joy ride in my car. They used up 1/2 of a tank of gas, there was dirt and grass all over the floor of both front and back seats (which means there were at least 4 people in my car) and there were egg shells from boiled eggs in the passenger door and in the glove box! The car only had 8,000 miles on it when I bought it. I have only had it for 4 months and now there are problems with the transmission and they won't help me at all. Unfortunately I had a similar experience as many others here. I purchased a vehicle under the premise that Avanesyan specializes in the repair of damaged vehicles and that they sell (according to their website) "well-maintained, like-new" vehicles. This is false. The vehicle I purchased I later found out (within the first month of owning it) had many problems. So many problems that the first mechanic I took it to when it started having problems (a fuel leak in the engine) refused to work on it because of the condition of the incompetent repairs. He was concerned that he could accidentally disturb their poor repair job and cause more issues that he would be reponsible for. At the time of this writing my vehicle is currently in another repair shop (The Toyota dealership) and has been there for the past 2 weeks, with one issue after the other including a fuel rail failure, exhaust leak, coolant leak, coolant sensor failure, wiring harnesses not being secured, air filter housing unsecured, all engine trim not secured and all underside splash guards missing and ECU failure caused by improper wiring. All told these repairs add up to $10,000. But I did purchase the premium warranty so I should be good right? Nope. The dealer service contacted the warranty company Veritas and they denied the claim because the fuel rail was improperly installed. I am currently waiting to see if the warranty company will cover the cost of the ECU, a $1200 part. I did contact Avanesyan in hopes that they would do the right thing and make good on their claim that they sell well-maintained, like-new vehicles. The salespeople won't let me talk to the owner and it has been crickets with no response except, "let them use the warranty they bought", which doesn't work since they don't properly restore vehicles. I think if you buy a vehicle here you are rolling the dice. If it is a vehicle that didn't have a lot to be fixed you might be getting a good vehicle and a good deal, but if it is a vehicle that needed repair work done you are asking for trouble. If it isn't obvious, I would never buy a vehicle from them again and am currently using the legal system to seek restitution. Honestly, they need to be shut down to prevent them from continuing to defraud and deceive trusting customers. This is a shady company. Steer clear. They shipped the car to me, again, I trusted them because they looked and sounded like reputable dealership. However, the Bentley I received looked nothing like the pictures! It came with 2 flat tires, it didn't start and it didn't run! The delivery driver could not even get it off his truck. He had to take it with him until I could rent a forklift to get it off. I bought a 2016 Corolla from these folks in early January. A few indicator lights were on -- ABS, airbag, and another one. The salesman said they'd probably go off on their own by the time I came back to pick up the license plates, but that if they didn't, they'd take care of it. When I came in to pick up the plates (around Feb. 8), the lights had not gone off. The guy said their mechanic was "busy" then, but that he'd call me in a week or so to schedule a time. No one ever called. I called today -- about six weeks later -- and was told their electrician won't be in until late April. I guess I'll call in late April and see what answer they give me then. In the meantime, these indicator lights are still on, and all I have to assure me there's not ACTUALLY a problem with the ABS and the airbag is the salesman's assertion that it's merely an electrical issue. You can imagine how confident that makes me feel, considering the other things he's said. read more

We called and let them know that the bank said it would be about an hour. After talking with our bank, they said we would have to do a down payment, so we needed to head back to get our contract revised. We called them to let them know we were on our way to get a revised contract, and they told us that they already sold the van out from under us. I went in there with every intention to buy a car put 500 dollars down did not even drive the car home or off the lot for one night. Went back the next day cashiers check in hand ready to buy but took it to a shop for a pre purchase inspection first. Only to find out the car needed almost 3500$ worth of repairs. When I went back to the lot and let them know i wouldn't be purchasing that vehicle I tried my best to find something else. I looked at multiple cars even took one more to be inspected and decided I needed to wait. Being 8 months pregnant I decided it was best I go home and readdress later on. They refused to give me my 500 dollar deposit back and continue to try and bully me in to buying a car from them. They screened and ignored my calls until I called enough from another number to even get an answer that they wouldn't give my money back. They say it's the "principle" to not give me my money back. But they have a review clearly stating they gave a customer a full refund and return within 30 days for a car that didn't work out. So clearly they are being dishonest or their reviews are fake. I will say initially when you go in they act kind and decent. They repeatedly say they will work with you no matter what. But tell me what kind of decent human being takes 500 dollars from a 8 month pregnant women who had just been in a horrible accident and was desperately trying to find a safe car for myself and my kids before I give birth. warning!! warning!!! warning!!! beware of this dealership!!! they have a case being filed against them with vehicle enforcement!!! they agreed to replace an o2 sensor and said if i did it i would get $500 off. i let them do it. it was a $250 repair. they told me they ordered the part and it was in from mercedes and that they fixed it. i picked it up and 6 miles down the road the check engine light was on..i talked to "art" the owner and he said they cleaned the connections and the o2 sensor was good. but the same check engine light code was the same bad o2 sensor. he told me it was replaced and fixed and it was not. i said i would get the $250 repair done and asked to refund the $500 he charged me and he said "no". her was very dishonest and told me i could come by the dealership and they would give me the o2 sensor so my mechanic could replace it...i am filing a report with vehicle enforcement because i have it all in writing through messaging on facebook and texts from the owner. this is a family owned business that is very very dishonest. feel free to send me a message and i will sadly tell you about their dishonesty and can even show you proof!!! read more
