I'm so glad my planner introduced me to Avant Gardenia. From the moment I met Jenna, I felt like she was someone who understood my vision, likes and dislikes and could transform them from concepts into reality, someone who could create a tasteful rendition within our budget. Our decor sample was great. Both Jenna and my planner worked with our schedules since I was in my final year of medical school and my now husband was in business school. Jenna got up at the crack of dawn (probably earlier, honestly) to get to our location early and sort and prepare everything for us. I literally had no changes to make to any of her work, and I could trust her for her thoughts on our tablecloths that went with the rest of her work. I was a little worried it might seem like I didn't care, since I literally had nothing to change with her flowers, but honestly it was just that beautiful a representation of our ideas for the day. My bouquet was absolutely stunning, by all accounts. I'm not one of those people who dreamt of their wedding day growing up. But one thing I did know growing up is that I love orchids. I have family in Hawaii and would visit them regularly each year, and every year I just fell more and more in love with the orchids around us. Dendrobium, Phalaenopsis, Cymbidium, didn't matter, I love it all. And when I first met Jenna I told her that. Her orchid bouquet for me was the most perfect one possible for me: simple, delicate and classic, yet luxurious and lush all at the same time. The flower wands and bouquets for the bridesmaids were also flawless interpretations of my vision. Our site didn't allow flower petals to be thrown. Given the ages of our four flower girls (3-5), we decided wands would be the best thing for them to hold. They were darling. The bridesmaids bouquets were truly gorgeous, and with barely any discussion or input necessary from me going into that final decision. I just trusted her to create something magical that I would love, and she did, all on her own. Last but not least, I wanted the flowers after the big day to go somewhere to be appreciated by people and mentioned it to my planner, who reassured me that Jenna always takes care of that. What seamless work. I think being able to trust your team and their taste and ability to execute is how you get their best work. If they're excited about what they do, it shows. The flowers for my wedding were incredibly beautiful! I loved working with Jenna and her staff, and knew I did not need to worry about a single thing on my wedding day. I met with Jenna to book well in advance, gave her my color scheme and budget and let her go wild :) She had great ideas, and was willing to make some changes to fit my budget which was great. Her team delivered flowers to multiple locations the day of, and everything was great. I particularly love that she gives vases for all of the bouquets for the ladies so they don't get smashed and you don't have to hold them all day. They would make great "center pieces" for the head table if you have one at your wedding. I would highly recommend this company- the work they did was excellent! read more

My experience with Jenna started with our first meeting, and I did not give her much to go on. I couldn't find any flower inspo that really spoke to me. I mean, I get it: flowers are pretty. But I didn't want anything that was too common, or typical. That's hard to find! I liked the proposal that Jenna sent over, and my wedding planner and I decided she was the one we wanted. Also, she bought my avocado toast during our first meeting. GREAT START. Jenna was so easy to work with, even during the dreaded "I just got off the phone with my dad and we need to cut the flower budget" phone call. She handled it like a champ and didn't even flinch. When I went to her business to view the centerpieces that she would be doing for my wedding, I was dumbstruck. "Centerpieces" does not come anywhere close to what this was. Flowing flowers, candles, greenery and all sorts of other fabulous things were expertly laid out on the table. I said to her, "this is the 'centerpiece'?" So much more than I expected. And by the way - it was totally my style. When I walked into my wedding, I could not believe my eyes. Jenna took my 2 or 3 super-general ideas and turned them into such beauty. Unique, personable, and gorgeous: this was what she delivered. Honestly, I knew she would do a great job, but this was way above and beyond what I thought it would be. Even my bouquet (lilies of the valley - a dream since I was a young girl) was bigger than I thought it would be! She had her team with her, ready to spring into action as soon as the ceremony was done, and the turnover of the room, with the help of my caterer and my wedding planner, only took 40 minutes. To begin, Jenna is amazing. I first met her (after a few failed attempts due to my fault/weather issues) about 11 months before my wedding on 12/13/14. She was amazing, her ideas were fantastic and I knew that I had to have Avant Gardenia do my bridal party flowers and part of my centerpieces (we used a lot of non-floral accents to incorporate ornaments and candles). She ended up sending me a quote that was well over my original budget and I asked if we could scale back. Jenna had no issue doing that and repeatedly told me we could continue to work on where to cut once we got closer to the wedding and I decided what was important to me. Fast forward to a few weeks before the wedding and I was scrambling to discuss a few significant changes that had been made to our table arrangements versus what we had discussed 11 months prior. By a few, I mean we changed our entire floor layout (I unexpectedly accepted a new position about 2 weeks before our wedding, which threw a curveball into the planning process.) Jenna quickly changed her quote to account for the new floor plan and was extremely pleasant to work with, when I thought she would be fuming (if you were fuming Jenna, you hid it well). The flowers were absolutely stunning and completed my picture perfect wedding. My absolute favorite item was the floral wands she created for my flower girls. They were so unique and my two little nieces (2 y/o) kept saying how they were princesses. To save on costs she put a few of our arrangements in plastic silver bowls, which you would never know unless you touched them. It brought down the cost and then we were also able to reuse them at the brunch the next day. I was definitely happy to meet with Jenna who met us halfway to meet with us and gave us amazing ideas for our winter wedding. We also asked her for some advice based on the lighting in our reception hall. She was a little hard to get a hold of since we didn't really hear back from her as quickly as we needed for some questions and we also did not hear from her about having to do any breakdown of some of the decor. Thankfully I had my day of wedding planner take care of that for me, plus there was no follow up with me to see how my event was. It simply seemed that she was interested only in getting our event over with, which I was a little disappointed about seeing that this is a big deal. Prices were expensive but we were incredibly happy with the designs when we got to see the final products. Since it was a winter wedding, she made wreaths for half the table with glass ornaments and for the other tables, she made candlelit tops. We didn't have flowers for the cake but we had candles placed throughout. (My husband is allergic to flowers so the only flowers we had were for myself and the bridesmaids). I took two stars off for lack of follow up and communication but otherwise I would recommend this place as long as you know it's hard to get a hold of her towards the end. read more

I used Avant Gardenia for my December 1st wedding and I can not say enough good things about Jenna and her team. She was an absolute joy to work with from start to finish. She has such a great eye for not just floral design but for the overall "look" of a room. My daughter was married last Saturday and the reception was held at the Haley Mansion in Joliet Illinois. The venue is beautiful but the floral arrangement put together by Jenna and team from Avant Gardenia took the Haley Mansion to another level. I can't say that flowers have ever had an impact me but when I walked in, I have to admit, It took my breath away. The work done by Avant Gardenia was SPECTACULAR to say the least.
