Avante Gardens is still the best! I have ordered from them in the past, and my husband has ordered flowers for me as well. They always have the most beautiful flowers that last very long, and their customer service is AMAZING. Quick example, a couple years ago he had flowers delivered to me at home for our anniversary. It was a super hot summer day, and when the delivery guy got there, I wasn't home. They actually called my husband and asked when I would be home, because they didn't want to leave the flowers out in the heat. He asked me and I said about 10 minutes. The delivery person kept the flowers in the van until I got home, and then put them on our patio table, spritzed them with water so they wouldn't wilt, and left right as I was pulling up. I don't know any other florist that would care enough to do that! So, since I needed bouquets and boutonnieres for our wedding, I immediately came to Avante Gardens to order them. I told them what I wanted, told them the colors I liked, and they quickly picked out what flowers they thought would be best. I am super easy and not picky at all. I loved what they suggested and I went with it. I was able to order the flowers and pay for them in probably 30 minutes. The day of the wedding my parents picked up the flowers and brought them to the courthouse. They were perfect! They held up all day in the extreme heat and well into the night. I hung my bouquet to dry last night and it looked awesome this morning. None of it was coming apart, no petals fell out. I am by no means an expert as to what wedding flowers should cost, but I was very pleased with the price I paid for the two bouquets and two boutonnieres. I was approximately 3 weeks out from my wedding and needed a simple bridal bouquet and matching boutonniere. I was searching on Yelp for something near my wedding location since I would in essence be picking it up on the way. Avante Garde was tucked away but I eventually found it. I walked into the shop, showed them what I wanted and had mentioned I was on a shoe string budget. The peonies I wanted were being shipped in from out of the country and would have had a crazy premium which put them out of my price range but the amazing Char made a recommendation based on the pictures I showed her for an alternative. Total time spent was less than 15 minutes and I was in and out efficiently. On the day of the wedding, my sister ran in, grabbed the bouquet and boutonniere and showed them to me. They looked AWESOME! They were flexible with me, worked within my price range, and still delivered on the look and feel I was going for. I know I didn't have a massive order and they could have easily dismissed my small request as not being worth the work/effort but they accommodated me and I appreciated that. Serendipity (noun) - the act of finding something good by accident or coincidentally. You know the feeling. It's like finding a $20 bill on a jacket you haven't worn in a long time, or how your waitress has been charging your glass of milk for a cup of coffee because it's cheaper. It's like finding this place. Pluses: The florist/owner was very nice and accommodating. She forgot all about what she was doing in order to help me assemble a bouquet for a friend who was visiting her husband's grave. She was also an award-winning flower-arranger, so she knows what she's doing and has a great eye for it. -- Flowers were fresh and looked really good, straight off the refrigerated truck. --Gave me plant food and other perks and tips to keep my flowers fresh for the next few hours so it'll reach its intended destination. Minuses - None. I won't say the price because the price was reasonable, the flowers were wonderful and arranged by someone who does this professionally and for a long time, and the customer service is top-notch. Bottom line: Great find. Everyone needs a florist they can trust and rely on. It may not be a doctor or a dentist or a lawyer, but florists have their place in society. Avante Gardens is my go to place for flowers when I want to make an impression. The owner, Kathy, recognizes me when I walk in the door. I like that. The shop is run like a well oiled machine. I like that my information is saved in her system, even my credit card and previous orders. It makes getting in and out a breeze. All I have to do is pick the arrangements and in two clicks the order is finalized. The arrangements produced by this florist are on another level. I kid you not, this is the only place that produces flowers where you feel that are better than the picture off the menu. The part that I love about sending flowers from Avante is the effect they have when they get delivered. The flowers will literally take your breath away. I placed an order of the Bright Butterfly Wishes arrangement Sunday evening for pick up Tuesday. A sweet lady named Judy called me Tuesday morning to let me know it had been ready by 9:30 a.m. The arrangement was breathtakingly beautiful-gerberas, orchids, and dianthus accented with vibrant lifelike butterflies resting on curly willow. Throughout the years my older brother used them for our mothers birthday and mothers day gifts and they consistently 'wowed' us with their arrangements. I was concerned at first because I'm from out of town and I have no experience with any florists in Orange County. So I did a search on Yelp and found Avante Gardens. I read all the reviews and saw that there were nothing but great reviews. I spoke to Cathy and she was very professional throughout the entire ordering process.
