I was recommended by a friend to come here, and sure enough I end up coming with said friend! Food: we ended up, ordering some nachos, fried zucchini, and drunken quesadillas for the table. I really enjoyed the drunken quesadilla, especially with the vodka sauce. Unfortunately, I don't remember what I ordered for dinner. Service: service was good, nothing particular to add. Aesthetic: standard restaurant with lots of seating, nice bar, and overall good vibes.

This place is an amazing! I hit up their Oktoberfest event--check out that Turkey leg! For about $50, you get a four hours of, all-you-can-eat-and-drink, great bang for your buck. Totally worth it. The outdoor seating? Perfect. The food? Mouthwatering--I sampled the bratwurst, beer pretzel and the turkey leg. Sorry couldn't take many pictures as I inhaled my food. And guess what? You can bring your furry friend. Absolutely loved it

Picture this: a group of gals go to a heart walk and you want to grab some brunch this is the spot. From the ambiance to the food I loved this place immediately. We did go when they first opened and didn't have a reservation but they were still fast making sure we were seated and had menus. I tried the pumpkin spice espresso martini and paired it with the Italian eggs Benny. *chefs kiss* I did sample the pecan pie espresso martini and like it better because it was sweeter so I'd recommend the pumpkin spice if you're absolutely obsessed with pumpkin. The eggs Benedict was delicious and everyone at the table loved the potatoes that came with the meal. Sign me up for anything prosciutto related. We finished off with the apple donut dessert and I was not disappointed however, it didn't need the apple pie component. The warm apple cider donut with the ice cream was plenty but I'll be back to try out their dinner menu.

Yesterday's visit was not my first. I've ordered from here several times to go and the food has been great and have eaten here in the past for lunch dinner and brunch and every meal has always been great with amazingly friendly service Four of us stopped in yesterday for brunch before they were even ready for service, the bartender could not have been more accommodating or friendly. A round of drinks to start, the pecan pie martini was absolutely fabulous. We all ordered breakfast options. I had the avocado toast, which was phenomenal and the breakfast potatoes were amazing. Everyone loved their meal. Their chicken soup is really good too

My husband was out of town. To do something different, I decided to get a happy hour drink at Avenue Bistro. Was pleasantly surprised by the experience. The bartenders appeared to know a number of the patrons. The restaurant tables were also doing a decent business, including dining for some families with kids. I decided to try their house version of Buffalo wings with a maple syrup sauce. Good. My Tito's martini was good, though I thought just $2 bucks off for Happy Hour wasn't such a deal. Next time I'll go with a $5 glass of wine. This local watering hole with tavern food was nicer than I anticipated. Just shows me to try new places and see for myself!

    Chicken Pesto Flatbread

I wish Yelp allowed direct responses to reviews. As a longtime regular at Avenue Bistro, I feel compelled to address Rick B's inaccurate and unfair comments. I was there that day and saw him verbally attack patrons and berate the kind, hardworking bartender. His review is a misrepresentation of what actually happened--an exaggeration meant to justify his own behavior. No one deserves to lose their job over false claims. We love Avenue Bistro--thank you for your continued hospitality. And don't miss the pesto flatbread--it's the best on the menu!

Great atmosphere (specifically the outside)! If you want to feel like you're on vacation definitely try out this spot! Their tiki hut area is quite pleasant and the drinks are delicious.

Fun girls day out with my daughter. Darling place, close to where we live. Spontaneous lunch outing, which rarely happens due to work schedules etc. Always look forward to time with my daughter so I choose wisely where I'm going to spend my time and money to make it worth my while. This is the second time I've been to this place the first time was in 2018 for brunch and then time got away from us and then Covid so I feel honored that I was able to finally get back in and check it out. It is a full bar not a BYOB, however the cocktails were great. The service was great we had a lovely waitress who was super attentive and very friendly. Should a great T-shirt on I want to think it's a 'peace', fun vintage moment. The nachos were simply good and just OK. In all fairness I should try a meal and give it another go. The interior is lovely I'll be at a little dark. They do have outdoor seating but it was especially hot the day we went so we did sit inside. Lots of open windows and a very airy vibe which is good. I recommend at least trying it if you're in the area and want some good casual fare.

Only tiki bar near me is almost an hour away. So when I saw a post of one 15 minutes away, I was on it!! Entered on Bloomfield Ave. The front bar has open windows great for people watching. I would have stop there but I needed to experience the tiki vibe. I sat at a high top near the bar. Tiki cocktail list on the table has fun names. No tiki food specials but their lots of items on the menu. Get the mussels, the broth is good and you get large pieces of bread to soak it up. Skip the hot chicken sandwich. It needed seasoning and lack heat. It's truly the popular spot in Verona. Make a reservation. Cornhole game The staff is attentive Pet friendly Lots of parking in the rear

They have a cute patio outside in the back and they have great lunch specials as well as happy hour specials. Nice local place to stop by after work.

I went during St. Patrick's Day and it was a good fun celebration. Drinks were good. It was challenging getting a free bartender that day but that's understandable. I'll be coming back to try their food too next time.

This is one of my fav spots! I love the vibe here. The staff is professional and the bartender makes awesome cocktails. It's a chill place to grab a drink and relax. I've tried the classic cheeseburger and the shrimp po boy. Both were delicious. I recommend this place for a group outing with friends.

Larry was very accommodating, and helped compose a vegan dish from the setup of another dish. He was considerate to recommend something that would feel "substantial" - something that I really appreciated. It's already a bit inconvenient to come up with a dish on the spot, but to go the extra mile by caring that it would be satisfying as a main dish was really very kind. And it turned out fantastic. This restaurant has so much going for it in the quality of its ingredients and dish compositions. I would encourage the chef to consider how the can apply their creativity to a dedicated vegan dish as well. There's a big world to explore in creating modern, high end, plant-based dishes and I think this restaurant would hit it out of the park ! :)

We…read moretypically dine out at least once to twice a week and this is always one of the regular places we choose because the food and service are consistently above average to excellent. This review is from our meal on August 30, 2026. While the menu has been changed from time to time, it does not happen frequently. However, there are often a variety of special additions. One item on the menu we have ordered in every visit is the shrimp appetizer, which I mentioned in my original review. It used to be called shrimp arrabbiata. Now it's called garlic shrimp (according to the online menu, but believe it's baked garlic shrimp on the actual menu). By any name it's not to be missed. I believe it used to be 8 shrimps, which at some point was trimmed to 7 shrimps). The size are large to near jumbo, easily more than a single bite, easily U-25, but maybe not quite U-15 sized. The sauce is so good it's worth finishing with the consistently delicious warm rolls being used to soak up every last drop, or spooned out of the bowl like soup. It's spicy, but not overpowering. This is a must order for shrimp lovers. I usually order one of the many house-pastas. My wife is usually ordering one of the fresh fish offerings. The scallops are a hit too, as is the risotto, though I still nix the chorizo, which I'm typically then rewarded with extra crab. The service is very accommodating in every respect, willing to make every reasonable adjustment. Desserts are typically good, but also typical to all Italian eateries. They used to have a must-have mousse concoction that disappeared after a while. That was a mistake, as it was exceptional.

It was a…read morestunning space with sleek, modern furniture and walls adorned with vibrant, colorful artwork. The service was impeccable from the moment we arrived until the second that we left. From a food perspective, our meal initiated with a basket of some of the best rolls I had ever had. They were large, fluffy, and doughy with a hint of crispiness from a light toasting. We then shared the Veal and Beef Meatball, which was gigantic but still managed to have the ideal texture. It was also beautifully seasoned and served in what the chef called his "grandma's plum tomato sauce", which was divine! The sauce was thick and hearty, so when that was paired with pecorino cheese and basil oil, it really made for a fabulous dish. I even cut off a small piece to put inside my roll with a spoonful of sauce - chef's kiss! After that, we enjoyed some of the house-made pasta dishes, tasting each in a family-style format. The Squid Ink Bucatini was tossed with scallops, shrimp, and jumbo lump crab in a seafood tomato sauce. I did not love the briny finish to the sauce or that some of the scallops were chewy. The Tagliatelle with Duck Bolognese, tomatoes, and carrots was good, but I prefer my pomodoro sauce without the addition of a "light cream". Lastly, the special Spaghetti came with lobster, crab, and peas in vodka sauce. That one was definitely my favorite. While I do not love peas, the sauce was rich and flavorful. Across these last two dishes, I thought the pasta was a tad overcooked and could have been more al dente; the bucatini consistency was more inline with my preferences. Overall, I thought the food at Laboratorio Kitchen was above average, but that the service and atmosphere helped elevate the place. I would definitely consider going back to try some of their other dishes.
