My parents love the entrees here and wanted me to give this place 4 stars, but the owner remains a d!ck, so he's getting 3. I don't think this place is fantastic, but they seem to love their chicken Alfredo and shrimp or eggplant parmigiana dishes. I've tried both and their pizza and it's just okay to me. Pizza is definitely not my fave. However I do enjoy their salad with blue cheese and the Alfredo. Owner is just rude and has no problem showing his aggression in front of his customers.

    Limps and soggy

Worst pizza I've had in YEARS. Crust was way undercooked and so doughy it almost overpowered the sauce and the cheese. Places like this make me miss Brooklyn soooooooo much. There are like 20 other places in a mile radius of this one please choose one of those instead

I love Frank's pizzeria as it reminds me of my ol'e neighborhood of Knickerbocker Avenue in Brooklyn, NY. I only buy pizza and a can of soda because I cook several of his dishes. My one complaint is that sometimes I get a slice that has been sitting for a while. Today was one of the days that I got a last pepperoni slice that was sitting with other various last slices. I know it is better not to accept that slice, but I did. I paid for that slice as it caused an upset stomach. I understand each slice is money, but sometimes you need to dump it if he sits for hours. I am staying away for a few weeks. Maybe I can find a new spot!

Average pizza spot. Nice variety of to-go slices such as chicken bacon ranch, margherita, veggie, plain, pepperoni, sicilian, etc. I got the Margherita slice $4 which was nice, thin, and crispy, just how I like my slices. I prefer the pizza over at Pizzanada which is about a 5 min drive away. All in all, I'd come here for a quick slice if I'm stopping at the supermarket, liquor store, or walgreens that's in the same plaza. If I have the time I'd drive over to Pizzanda for more flavor and better prices.

We've been looking for a new spot for sandwiches, and I think this is it! New to the area, and we've been disappointed lately. But not anymore! We haven't tried the pizza yet, but that's next on the list!

I love this pizza with extra cheese. Yummy

Went there with a friend!! I LOVE AUTHENTIC Pizza!! Not a fan of Domino's or Pizza Hut. I like the good stuff and here it is , I ordered a slice of brick oven pizza with extra cheese and my friend had pepperoni on her slice. It was simply delicious!! We also ordered the Zucchini sticks which are plentiful and enough for two. The Zucchini sticks with Marinara sauce really hit the spot. Very good place to enjoy great food.

I was trying to avoid traffic and came across this little gem!! I didn't have time to read reviews. The restaurant was nice and clean. Staff was funny and friendly. Glad I went in. The sizes and thickness was too much for my eyes to take in. Who needs a Sicilians with these around. Yummy goodness!! I wanted each and every one of them. I ordered the sausage and pepperoni!! It was Amazing!!! I ate every single bite, since they have a $10. Min. I ordered the breaded diced chicken, broccoli, I believe tomato slices ( I honestly can't remember) it had me hypnotized. I ate this one as a dessert after dinner. Yeah I split it with my husband. I would recommend Frank's, it is definitely worth the drive.

They threw a few slices of pepperoni on a piece of cheese pizza ):

I've been here once before and it was fine, I got back a second time to ask for a slice of pepperoni and they throw a few slices of pepperoni on a piece of cheese pizza instead of cutting me a fresh slice of pepperoni pizza that was literally about to be done cooking in the oven. Terrible

    Had to get two slices.

We're still slowly working our way through local spots, and Brick + Dough was highly recommended to us. We started with garlic knots, bread, and fries, and honestly... 10/10 across the board. Everything was SO good. The fries especially are still living rent free in my head. We then split three pizzas, all of which were seriously incredible. The perfect balance of cheese, sauce, and crust, just absolutely nailed. We ended the night with cookies and ice cream, and I can confidently say this place will be seeing me again very, very soon. It might even end up replacing our current go-to pizza spot...

The service was nice, especially because even though we were the only table sitting outside, they were consistently coming out to make sure we were doing OK and had everything we needed. We ordered some garlic knots, which were good, it just seemed a little bit pricey to charge for the marinara sauce separately, which was not really outstanding nor something special, so I would recommend you skip it. We also ordered the chicken vodka Parm pie which was very good. The chicken was very crispy and the pizza was still delicious the next day when we had the leftovers. One of her friends is allergic to gluten, so it was very nice that they were able to accommodate for her. I do wanna point out that we have been to many places that offer gluten-free options and this is the first one I've been to that does charge you extra to make a gluten-free. In terms of price, it is very similar to the other places in Montclair but they do provide very good service and the ambience both outside and inside is very nice.

Guy seemed overwhelmed and reluctantly took my order. I showed up 30 min later and no one had any record of my order. I recognized the guy's voice and told him he took my order. He was pissed and got into a shouting match with me with 3 other customers around. He eventually apologized and offered a free side of meatballs and spaghetti (don't order that btw, super underwhelming). 2nd time: Wife placed an order for a pie with half pepperoni on their website. Came back with the order and the pie had full toppings. Small nit but annoying. 3rd time: I called at 6pm on a Thursday. No one picked up. Opted to place order on their website and got the same item as last time. Showed up at and the same miserable guy asked for my name and order... and then said he didn't have any order. I told him I placed an order on the website... and he said "You should have called." with an awful (only a mother can love) grin. I showed him my email confirming 6:20pm pickup time and he said he had no order... before pulling a pie with my name on it. I asked if it had half pepperoni and it didn't. Full toppings AGAIN. Clearly, their website is not equipped to actually take half toppings orders. Pizza is OK but not worth the headache or poor service here.

We spotted Blue Steel which had good, modern curb appeal to our hungry tummies. It looks like downtown Bloomfield is having a moment with some new condos and nicer restaurants coming in. Thanks, gentrification!? Inside has a clubby, bar vibe and we were seated at a hightop near the bar. I love a good wedge salad. I prefer the classic but I appreciate BSP's variation that has tomato, cucumbers, crispy frizzled onions, feta cheese, homemade ranch dressing, and everything sprinkle seasoning. It was generously sized and refreshing. And there's nothing but good things to say about the Detroit-style ezzo pepperoni pie, except that i wish I had a bigger stomach to eat MORE. After the salad (shared), I was only able to manage one slice, but it was a happy slice. My first time trying Detroit-style and it didn't disappoint. PS: There's a tiny, very lumpy and bumpy parking lot in the back that is very tricky to maneuver back out of. If it hadn't been for an Uber driver who got briefly trapped back in there with me, I might still be there today

There is no…read moreshortage of pizza, as they have anywhere from 2,000 to 3,000 pizza restaurants using their family recipe to make some of the best pizzas in America. As the third-largest producer of tomatoes in the entire country, this key pizza-making ingredient not only sets New Jersey's classic 'tomato pies' apart from any ordinary pizza. This 10,000-square-foot, two-story establishment with a neon-lit sign on Glenwood Ave in Bloomfield asks, "Just another pizzeria?" They also house a 20-seat speakeasy that's open Thursday through Saturday called the Rab.bit Hole that can be found upstairs behind a hidden entrance. Opened in 2020, Blue Steel Pizza Company is the answer and should become obvious after looking at the menu. A reservation was easily made via Resy. My partner and I were greeted at the host station and got a regular table in the 1st-floor dining room by the pizza oven in the middle. The vibe was modern and industrial. Patrons had to use their phone flashlights to read the menu as the lighting was pretty dim. They are known for their Detroit-style pizza--a pie baked in a rectangular, traditionally blue-steel pan, the kind once used by autoworkers. It's made with a blend of mozzarella cheese and traditional Wisconsin brick cheese that melts down the side of the pie, making for a burnt, gooey, cheesy crust. It's cold-fermented for three days and is closer to sourdough. It has real flavor and an airier texture. It's like a lighter version of a Sicilian with a buttery crust. As a starter, we decided on the Chopped Salad. For our main entrée, we opted for the Jersey Tomato Pizza Pie. Portions run big enough for sharing, and we downed them with the 1911 Cider. The pizza crust was light, airy, and crispy with the right amount of fresh ingredients, making the ensemble tastefully delicious. The staff was attentive, friendly, and accommodating, and our server was Adam. The price was comparable to the area. We had a wonderful experience and would recommend this place.

They have some seating inside and when it is nice outside, there is a good space for more outdoor seating. I always suggest calling ahead to try and reserve a space, just in case it is a very busy night! As for the food, I always have had good food here! Their speciality is pizza, but do not take their wings (or as they say "Wangz") for granted. Typically on Wednesdays (also double check this if you plan to leverage it when you call to reserve), if you purchase a pizza, you can then unlock the ability to get $1 wings! For the Wangz specifically, my favorite is the Cracked Black Pepper ones. These wings typically are not small and have a good amount of meat in them! The flavor of the pepper blends goes very well with them! For the pizza, I have tried many of their speciality pies. Some of my favorites include: - Hot Julia - Red pie w/ Pepperoni, Riccota & Pecorino cheeses, Basil, & Hot Honey - Spicy Calabrese - White pie w/ Gargonzola, Nduja (spreadable pork sausage) & Calabrian Chillies - Prosciutto & Argula - Red pie - The Otto - Red pie w/ Anchovies & Capers These pies are made Neapolitan style and the dough has great flavor! If Neapolitan your style of pizza, you will enjoy it here! Oh and even if the menu does not mention it, they do serve dessert! Ask your server with what they have for the night! I know it sort of changed management to a lovely guy whose name I don't remember who when he first took over came out with samples of delicious specialty pizza and warmly greeted everyone. I placed an order for delivery two days ago. The pizza was good as usual but the lentil soup was really salty, no exaggeration enough to overpower any taste of lentils - I added two cups of water and threw in some ditalini, added garlic, and it was still salty. I'm not sure why that would happen but here's a full proof way to make good lentil soup: per pound of dry lentils, first sautee a chopped medium onion, chopped large stalk of celery and a large or two medium size carrots, two cloves of chopped garlic in some olive oil, then add the lentils, and around 3-4 inches of water above the line of lentils and allow to simmer, don't add salt until it's closer to the lentils being cooked. People with high blood pressure or pregnant cannot handle the amount of salt that was added. It was worse than canned soup. I have ordered it before, last time was around 4 years ago and it was fine. Of course, it may just be an error or a new person making the soup. I have thought that since the change in management, maybe a seasoned Italian woman cook in the kitchen might be a good addition to at least train the staff. I get the impression that the staff are more pizza makers than cooks. I ordered an artichoke not long ago that tasted good but was not fully cooked, my friend ordered lasagne that was covered in mozzarella and was probably over microwaved or however it is heated, and was like paste. This isn't intended to be rude but to point out that for the most part I like your food but feel like certain things can use more care.
