This is one of our favorite shabu spots. Wait time is short for our party of 2! They have a decent amount of choices. A plus is that the appetizers are included in the AYCE. There's 2 sets of pricing. We are good with the cheaper option! Higher pricing tier includes sushi & more meat options! Staff is attentive and picks up our empty trays fast! And don't forget your bowl of rice tucked in the far left corner! I would recommend joining the yelp waitlist too! Especially if you have a big group! We come here at least once a month!

I actually heard of this place through Instagram ads and me and my friend tried it for the first time! He got sukiyaki broth. I got tom yum but I didn't like it so they let me switch it out :) the pork bone was better. Also I spilled my WHOLE PLATE OF VEGETABLES ON MY SEAT but they were really nice about it. Service was amazing but I wasn't too keen on their broth. The salad bar is not bad either. Meat quality is not bad for ayce. I like the set up inside and it's really bright! Which I like. And parking is easy too.

I'm updating my 4-star review to a 5-star review for a few reasons. Every time I come here, I'm treated wonderfully by Alvin and the rest of the Avenue Shabu staff. They consistently tend to me, and never have I had a dull moment where I needed to flag down a server. To put it simply, every time I dine here, I feel truly valued as a guest. The food has also never let me down and is always high quality. I want to clarify why I originally posted a 4-star review: on my first visit, I ordered their Szechuan broth, which happened to be a bit too salty for my liking, making my meats and veggies overly salty as well. Since then, I've consistently ordered their spicy miso broth, which has the perfect flavor for me and always hits the spot! Following my recent visit, I knew I had to revise my review because this is definitely a 5-star establishment for me -- from the service, to the upscale ambiance, to the quality of the food. The fact that they are dog-friendly and also tend to my fur baby by offering her a water bowl is something I greatly appreciate. Overall, I highly recommend Avenue Shabu to anyone in need of a great dinner option. Support your local businesses!

This place has the most creative broth options such as pho, soondubu, curry, sichuan, and many more. Literally recreated pho with the pho broth since they have the noodles and veggies Their wagyu quality was insane, must try !! i also loved their soju cocktails, each one came with a a different popsicle. service was also rlly good!

We came here on a Monday evening for dinner to celebrate a birthday and had the best experience. Sat outside because we had our dog with us but service remained top tier. Staff were very attentive and made us and even our dog feel so welcome. We ordered from the premium menu and let me tell you- you must upgrade!! The Wagyu cuts here beat any other AYCE shabu place I've been to. The marbling is insane and they sliced the meat to perfection where it's not too thick or thin. Literally melts in your mouth. I also appreciate the wide selection of seafood, veggies and sushi rolls that you grab yourself. From the service to the food to the pricing, we were truly blown away. Will definitely be back!

I love AYCE shabu, even better when it comes with AYCE sushi! Although, I didn't try any of the sushi because I was too full from the shabu and there wasn't any at the time I wanted to grab it. So will be back to try the sushi next time. I came in on a Saturday right before the dinner rush. It looks like dinner rush starts at 6pm-ish. There's indoor and outdoor seating. It was pretty cold outside on the day I went, but the outdoor seating was enclosed so it wasn't cold at all. You can ask to try the broth before choosing the one you want. My favorite was the house tsuyu. The premium menu is worth it if you love wagyu! There's also a sauce bar and self serve rice. Very clean restaurant with a huge selection of seafood, veggies, noodles that you grab on your own. The staff are really good about making their rounds to take your order. Definitely will be back!

Looooong over due review but my go-to hotpot whenever I'm in the area! Bars are always freshly stocked and cleaned every few minutes. Broth is delicious and there's a variety you can pick from. What's even better is that you get your own pot. Highly recommend!

Wow, such a clean and well ventilated Shabu spot. Stopped by after watching a movie on Sunday and had a great time. They had a variety of soup choices and absolutely loved that you get your own pot, so you don't have to share (in case you have any allergies). They have the self serve area very well labeled and stocked up. Enjoyed the amount of sauces they have, especially since they give ideas on what to mix.

Came in at 8:30 pm, The host seats guests quickly, and service is fast and efficient. They have an (AYCE) lunch special available weekdays from 11 AM-3 PM, priced around $23.99 for regular and $27.99 for premium. Dinner runs about $32.99-$36.99 for premium, which includes sushi, one Wagyu plate, and bulgogi plates. We choose tom yum and Pho! it was delicious!! although the ribeye that was given to us towards the end tasted smell/odd. Overall, Fresh vegetables, great konjac spinach noodles, and friendly service made the overall experience pleasant. Owner/manager asked us if the self order new system was working well, and not going to lie. I enjoy it better. Will come back for another experience.

great place for when you're craving wagyu shabu and sushi!! meat quality was amazing. the options at the buffet bar were solid too--seafood, noodles, veggies, and more. all the broths were yummy; you're able to sample them before choosing! servers were very attentive! restaurant is super clean, loved my experience. parking is pretty easy as well, there's a very big lot nearby

Amazing place. So much food to choose from. Clean and waiters very helpful. Will come back again.

Food: Everyone gets their own soup pot and bowl, which I love, and you can refill or even switch broths if you want. They start you off with a broth tasting so you can try a few before choosing. You can also control the heat level yourself with buttons at the table, so you are not stuck waiting for someone to adjust it. I got the sczechuan broth because I love spicy and this was perfect. It wasn't too spicy but had a good spicy kick. The premium option was nice. It includes the sushi bar plus extra meat options like ribeye and wagyu. Meats come out three at a time. The sushi was actually good quality and they also switch up the rolls pretty often, so there is usually something new to try. There are two sauce bars and also bottled sauces set up next to the sushi like white vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, sriracha, and more, so you can customize everything exactly how you like it. Service: Service was great. The staff was always checking in, refilling water, clearing plates, and making sure we had what we needed. Super easy to get their attention and everyone was friendly and helpful the whole time. Even when it was busy, we never felt ignored. Ambiance: The place was busy with people waiting outside even though there are a lot of tables. The atmosphere feels lively but still chill at the same time. It is a fun spot without feeling too loud or stressful.

Craving hot pot on a rainy day and kept hearing great things about Avenue Shabu, so we finally gave it a try. Since it was raining, there was a wait, but it honestly wasn't bad at all. Service was excellent--staff were attentive and accommodating, especially when we requested help for our baby, which we really appreciated. Ambiance was modern and comfortable, great for a cozy hot pot meal. The sauce station could use some improvement though--sauce bowls were noticeably missing, which made it a bit inconvenient. There is a premium option that adds two wagyu beef choices and sushi, but we opted out. Honestly, once it's in the hot pot, wagyu and regular beef tasted pretty much the same to us, so the regular menu was more than enough. Where Avenue Shabu really shines is the buffet selection. Tons of great options: scallops, mussels, clams, fish, eggs, crawfish, multiple types of tofu, mushrooms, and a wide variety of vegetables. Soup base options were also solid, and you can mix and match. I got the tonkatsu broth and it was rich and delicious. My mom ordered the herbal broth, which tasted very clean and comforting, and my husband went with spicy miso and tonkatsu--every broth we tried was flavorful and satisfying. Overall, a strong hot pot spot with great service, variety, and atmosphere. Minor tweaks could elevate the experience even more, but we'd definitely come back the next time a hot pot craving hits.

Location looks sketchy, but the food is good and price is very reasonable. Black Ramen (pork broth, black garlic oil, chashu, egg, green onion, beansprout, wood-ear mushroom) was really good. Great tasting broth without being too salty. Yellowtail Jalapeño Roll was excellent. Had this type of roll at other places, but the one here just tasted more vibrant. Very refreshing with a good amount of spiciness. Akuma Roll was good but was different than I expected. Based on the name I thought it would have a more menacing presentation with a super spicy kick to it, but it was rather tame and too bright in presentation. It has 4 types of fish, avocado, spicy mayo, soy mustard, truffle ponzu sauce, and soy paper. Service seemed efficient as we got our food pretty quickly, despite being busy. However, it took a while for us to get our check at the end.

I want to be clear that we've always enjoyed the food here, although even our most recent meal fell short. The real issue, however, has been the wait times, which have become unreasonable. Today my order was estimated to be ready at 7:15 PM. It is now 8PM and I am still waiting. For context, I placed the order at 6:00 PM. Meanwhile, guests continue to arrive and are being seated. Spending nearly two hours waiting in the lobby for a to-go order--both today and on our last visit--is simply unacceptable. The waitress did offer a free dessert and a gift card, which I declined because, unfortunately, we do not plan on returning. She then offered $20 off the bill. While the gesture was noted, it does little to address the broader issue when the bill is $130 and the wait has been this excessive. If the owners are reading this, please take a serious look at how orders are being managed. If the kitchen cannot handle the volume, online orders should be paused until the system is fixed. This used to be a place we genuinely loved, which makes this experience all the more disappointing. At this point, however, the wait and frustration simply aren't worth it anymore.

Drinks were flowing and the sashimi was non-stop. Nigiri and handrolls were also delicious and I ate until I was close to puking. It was super cool to be able to cut into the fresh fish from Mexico. It's definitely tougher than it looks. I always thought it would be easy to cut like butter, but definitely takes a lot of strength and skill. There were other tasty tuna dishes like the miso soup, salad and crispy tuna steak. I recommend sitting at the bar so you can see Chef Yamasaki cut the fish in the front row seats. It was cool to taste the varying levels of fatness of the fish. The super chutoro was practically butter. They also offered tuna to go at $50/lb. Definitely worth it. The venue is their regular restaurant but with more tables in the middle. A little loud but definitely a fun time. There were 3 birthdays too! We had ice cream mochi for dessert and there were strawberry cakes for the birthday girls. We averaged about $170 after tip and it was worth every penny.

This is a four-star review because while the food was excellent, the service was unfortunately the…read moreslowest I've ever experienced. The entire meal lasted 2.5 hours, and that was only because we ended it early and asked for the check. We ordered the Omakase Yamasaki for $69, and everything we received was amazing. The salad to start was great, and the fish was prepared perfectly. However, the pacing really took away from the experience. I'm not sure if they were understaffed, but the service was so slow that by the end we were exhausted and didn't even want to finish the meal. We also mentioned that my friend has a shellfish allergy, but a crab hand roll was still brought out. While it was very delicious, my friend couldn't eat it, and we chose to leave without a replacement because it would have taken another 20 minutes. The food was memorable, but the service and timing need improvement for the experience to match the quality of the food.
