Went here twice, once with a large group of friends and another time with a friend, both times ordering the late night AYCE happy hour menu (10 P.M - 12: P.M). We went when prices were still like $18.99/each AYCE at night but now I heard it's $23/each, which is understandable but unfortunate for us students. Both times we went, the portions each order was solid and the meat quality was good, better than expected. We ate tons of meat and some of us ordered sides, the wait for the orders weren't too long and the grill was being changed frequently. The staff were nice and the service was relatively quick even when they were busy. One order seemed to be forgotten but another server checked in on us and they went back to make sure everything was proper, which was nice. When I went with my friend, the two of us were challenging each other and we ended up being the very last party to leave. Unfortunately, we ordered more than we could eat due to our competitiveness and it was already past 12 p.m. They decided not to charge us the leftover fee so I tipped more to compensate. Shoutout to the kind staff that watched me try to scarf down the food at the end and seeing a duo last longer than a party of 11 . I recommend going here late at night to try out their, now $23, AYCE from 10 p.m to 12 p.m and note that their last call is 11:30 p.m. Another thing is that you have to sign up on the waitlist via their tablet in-person, so come around 9:15 p.m if you're going with a large party and hit up the H-Mart across while waiting! read more

This has always been one of my go-to KBBQ spots, but I do feel like the quality has gone down a bit over time. The service wasn't as attentive during my recent visit, likely because there were only two employees working. I also noticed some inconsistency with the meat quality. The cuts varied each time we ordered. Sometimes they were much fattier, while other times they were leaner. Because of that, the overall experience didn't feel as consistent as it used to be. My party of 3 was first on the waitlist. Because the waiting area was crowded, we waited outside in the parking lot and remained on the property. The moment we received a text saying our table was ready, we checked in immediately and were escorted to a table by a staff member. While we were already seated and preparing to order, a female employee in a red shirt came over and told us to leave. She then seated another party that appeared to be behind us on the waitlist. When I asked why, she claimed they had checked in first. If customers can join the waitlist later and still be seated ahead of people already at the top of the list, then the waitlist serves no purpose. What shocked me even more was that after removing us from our table, she told us to put our name on the waitlist again, despite the fact that our name was already at the top of the list, we had already received a table-ready notification, checked in on time, and been seated. There was no apology, no accountability, and no explanation that made any sense. One member of our party became so frustrated by the situation that they decided to leave rather than continue dealing with the confusion and disrespect. The service was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional from beginning to end. Management should review what happened between approximately 9:55 PM and 10:10 PM on June 9. Great value, food, & seating arrangement. Not too expensive and you get a lot options for protein. We chose tier B for a party of 10-11 people. Parties over 10 people may need to separate into 2 tables, but the server was nice to allow us to squeeze ~5 people per side. We also like the side options including salad and side dishes. Brisket is tasty here. Even beef heart was new to me but surprisingly tasty and tasty. No big complaints. Maybe just need to refill our water more frequently. TLDR: It's the best priced happy hour that I've experienced. The meats may be on the pricey side if paid in full, but they were amazing if we base things on the happy hour price. I gotta say though, they really pile on the portions per plate. Brisket: It has a pretty food meat to fat ratio, and the marbling was good. They give you a respectable amount of brisket, and this can get heavy down the line. Brisket Yaki: It's their version of brisket with sweet sauce. The happy hour doesn't have bulgogi, but this'll do. Beef Belly: It's always good when you have a hard time telling the difference between brisket and beef belly. It means that the beef belly's meat to fat ratio isn't bad. For this case, the beef belly had a smaller portion, but it doesn't matter, given that it's all you can eat. Marinated Chicken: This is one of the lesser marinated chickens I've had in KBBQ. I can't seem to point a finger at it, but I just didn't like it. Garlic Pork Belly: Fatty, juicy (or crispy, based on how you cook it), and garlicy. It tastes exactly like the item reads. Garlic Rice: It's plain rice that they threw some garlic in, and heated it somewhere. It's a different vibe, but it's nothing special. Service: Very good. The staff respected the fact that the happy hour folks had an hour ish to eat, and they made sure that our tables were topped up. Ambiance: It's a classic KBBQ place. However after our dinner last night with my boyfriend, we experienced stomach issues leading to unfortunate events in the restroom if you catch my drift. I was super excited for the $18.99 late night happy hour and finally had a chance to go! I usually love Grams for the excellent quality and service, but unfortunately, this time it was lacking. From the start, we were seated at 9:59 PM and told the server we were here for the Happy Hour. I understand the new deal can cause more stress onto the staff, but she just snarkily told us it starts at 10. I just said okay and I guess she thought about it for a moment and just let us order anyways. Overall, her attitude was very rude and when I accidentally ordered corn cheese, she acted like I was dumb and should've known that wasn't on the Happy Hour Menu. For some reason, we actually did not see her much after that, so it confusing who to order meats with. It looked like she was on her phone way on the other side the whole time and the few times she came by our section, she avoided my eye contact etc. Due to that, we did not really have a flow state of eating and the dining experience was full of awkward pauses. It's located right across from H-Mart in Garden Grove, which makes it super convenient. We came here on a Friday night for their 10pm-12am $18.99 special menu. We arrived around 9:30 and were 8th on the waitlist -- they have a sign that says after 9:30pm, only walk-ins are accepted, so you can no longer join the waitlist from online as it'll say "waitlist closed." Basically everyone who joined before us from 9:25ish onward were there for the special, so they mostly cleared out the restaurant from the people dining before us, then took everyone waiting all at once to be seated at 10pm. I would advise arriving around 9:30 to be guaranteed timely seating on the weekends. The inside of the restaurant as well as the tables were all very clean, with everything set up for us when we got there. Service was good, especially for how busy they were that night, with multiple servers coming around to bring food and take orders. Peter was especially amazing, as he came to check on us very often throughout the night despite it being so busy, and was super attentive with taking our orders & changing our grill without us needing to ask. The meat options were pretty good; basic, but good for what you're paying. Our favorite was the beef belly with yaki sauce! I personally did not enjoy the pork belly as for some reason the texture of the plate I got was very off putting, but the flavor itself was fine. We also ordered the brisket & brisket with yaki sauce and those were decent. The one thing that bothered me was how often our orders came out wrong. We only ordered twice, but the first time they brought out a huge plate of the wrong meat without us knowing, which we had to eat since we had already started cooking it without knowing. The second time we got brisket instead of beef belly, which we also just ate because we didn't want to send it back. Understandably, they were busy and seemingly shortstaffed, and the meat was still good, but this is something they can improve on. In the end, the great service made up for it. I drove over to Grams for their lunch special. 18.99$ for an AYCE Kbbq is pretty cheap. I went here a week ago trying to get the lunch special at 2pm and was told that they cut off ordering at 2:30pm AND ask people to leave at 3pm to close the store which I understand but with such a short eating time, why not just cut off ordering at 2:15 which would give plenty of time for people to order and eat for at least 45 minutes. I didn't want to rush ordering so I came back a week later. I got to the restaurant at 12:45ish pm on a Tuesday and instantly I was upset as there was no wait list except for a shabby list made from printer paper on the host counter. From a place that is highly reviewed and praised over the years, you would think they would have a better wait system in place. I ended up getting seated at 2pm which was very upsetting knowing that the store cuts off ordering at 2:30. I initially was told a 30-40 minute wait and even after waiting for that long, I still wasn't seated for another 20ish mins. I was seated to my table and then quickly ignored by the servers. I had to flag a server down to get my order in within the 30 mins I had left to order. In the end, I was able to only get 2 orders in which thank goodness I wasn't planning on ordering anything that would take super long. Service I would say was horrible. I don't know what is going on in terms of the servers at the place but they looked tired by the time I finally got seated. I don't know whether to blame the servers for the service or the fact that they seemed understaffed. There was 3 servers running back and forward between servicing tables and cleaning tables and honestly, they looked like they could have just used one more server to focus on bussing tables and the rest servicing tables. I was ignored by almost all the servers. I raised my hands multiple times for a grill change, even making clear eye contact with a server only for that server to go to another table and give them a grill change. The meat here was fine at first. My first order looked fine and the banchan was pretty good as well. The rice paper isn't dry at all compared to other kbbq places so props to them for that. My second order was HORRIBLE. I ordered the same thing which was brisket and it was 90% fat and 10% meat. If I wanted to clog my arteries and raise my cholesterol, I would have gone to McDonalds. If you don't believe me, the pictures I put show how fatty the meat was. If I had to order from the higher priced menu, I would have complained to the manager that I was getting ROBBED for paying for what should be middle to high quality meat only to be getting meat that was worse than advertised. read more

We went for the Lunch Special $18.99/person today, which was an amazing deal for AYCE of good quality meat, great service, and probably the best banchans I've ever had at an AYCE. They don't open until 12 pm so we were already waiting outside with 2 other groups before they opened. Since it's a work day, it'd be nice if they opened a bit earlier at 11:30 to give more time to eat during lunch break. Although the side dishes wouldn't seem to matter as much, it definitely impacted the overall experience. Besides the cucumber, which we got 3 refills for, we also cleared the shredded pickled radish (so good!) and the pickled greens (also so good!). Those pickled veg banchans pair so well with fatty meat. The potato salad was the favorite I've had as a banchan and we also cleared the salad, cilantro salad, and radish wrap. Meat-wise, we ordered mostly brisket and beef belly - both so good. It was my first time having pork tongue (usually only had beef) and that was also great. We usually don't pick any marinated meats at an AYCE but decided to try the brisket with yaki sauce. We were happily surprised as it wasn't drenched in sauce like at other AYCE places and the sauce itself wasn't too heavy/strong. It was delicious! Service was perfect. You don't put in orders yourself digitally here, but the servers come by at regular intervals to check on our next meat orders and check if you need anything. When you have any empty plate and put it at the side of the table, a server will come by to pick it up quickly and check if you need a banchan refill. They came to change out the grill for us regularly as well. The side orders were the only things that did not impress. Portions are good since they come in a personal-sized bowl so that you don't too full and can't finish it. The garlic rice was not that good nor the cold noodle. The cold noodles was not the typical Korean cold noodle we expected since it was rice noodle instead of buckwheat - the noodles were soggy instead of chewy and didn't have the usual cold noodle toppings. read more

Grams BBQ is an AYCE place in Garden Grove and it's the best in area! Make sure you do the yelp wait list as early as possible, because the wait can be pretty hefty on a Friday night! What's nice about Grams BBQ is that they offer some unique cuts like Picanha, Marinated Beef Hearts, American Wagyu Brisket and Beef Belly. They also have solid galbi, bulgogi, and pork jowl. Looking at their offerings, their "AYCE A Set" ($58.99 per person) is the best way to go as it offers all of their best cuts of meat. I would only go with a B or C set ($35-$39 per person) if I wanted to focus on eating picanha, prime beef belly, and brisket. Their pitchers of Sapporo beer are also reasonably priced at $20 per pitcher. What brings this AYCE Korean BBQ spot to an easy five stars for me is that the service was great, the banchan was delicious, and the meat quality was amazing. The "Marinated Prime Galbi," for example, is only included in their "A set", and I've been to places in LA that would charge you $50 for that alone. The quality of the meat and the flavors of the marinade are as good as what you'd find at a high-end a-la-carte Korean BBQ spot. The caramelization I was able to get on the meat was incredible. Sorry: I took no pictures of the food, because I ate! I would definitely come back because the quality, service, and value are here if you're willing to pay for it. Note: When dining here, there is a 2-person minimum, there is a two-hour time limit, and all people at your table must have the same menu. AYCE (all you can eat) K-BBQ, I got the AYCE C because I was feeling rather basic. It's the brisket for me. I think I single-handedly annihilated an entire plate. That's all I ate. No rice, no bulgogi, no noodles, just brisket and 쌈장 (ssamjang - spicy bean paste). My friends had a bit of everything: corn cheese, radish wraps, bulgogi (it was a little bit fattier than I preferred) but all I wanted was the beef brisket. Great quality ayce kbbq spot in Orange County. It can get pretty busy so always expect a wait when you get here. I've been here a few times and have enjoyed each time. The meat quality is so good, their premium menu is worth it. We've also tried their new late night menu and it's such a bang for your buck. The key is getting to the restaurant right before 10pm as sometimes they can turn you down if all the tables are taken. Came here after work with a BIG group (about 10 of us), and this place absolutely delivered. I recommended it since I come here all the time, and once again, it did not disappoint. Service was TOP TIER -- especially for a huge party. The staff was fast, friendly, and on point the entire time. And the meat? Always hits.
