Stopped by Grams after going to Wild Rivers in Irvine with a group of eight, and we were definitely ready for some food. We had two grills for our group, which was plenty of space, and the table came loaded with a variety of banchan. We ended up getting the Premium AYCE menu C. I really liked that the meat portions were a little smaller than what you normally get at kbbq spots because it made it easier to try more of the different options. My favorite was the marinated rib finger super flavorful, just make sure not to overcook it. Ordering was really convenient since there's a tablet attached to the table where you can order more meat or side dishes whenever you want. Everything came out pretty quickly after ordering. You do have to ask a server when you want to refill your banchan, but there were plenty of servers around so it was easy to get someone's attention for more sides or sauce. The restaurant is a little on the smaller side and the tables are fairly close together, but it didn't really take away from the experience. The service was fast and efficient, and overall I really enjoyed the meal. I'd definitely come back and try a different ayce menu for different meat options!

This restaurant seems to use quite a lot of MSG. I only really like the kimchi varieties (though they contain MSG too). I wasn't feeling well today and just wanted some tofu soup, but it was quite oily; I had to drink three carafes of water while eating it. The service was just okay.

Grams is the Korean bbq clutch of the century. I have never had such good meat at a very good price thanks to their late night menu deal. I went here for the first time because of that deal and like wow everything was good and not too fatty and all the meats they offered were marinated to a T!!! The service is so nice they would constantly make rounds to replace the grill, refill waters, take orders, etc. very awesome. The inside is very standard kbqq set up like all the tables are optimized for space in this restaurant and like what more could you ask for lol. Very good place I recommend highly especially when you're a person who likes AYCE late at night

Been here quite a lot when they just opened and then few time a year since it's my folks' favorite place to go. Nice & big parking lot, used to packed bad got to waited quite abit but now within 20mins max on weekends and holidays (maybe more) but still not bad. If you come when they're open, the place is clean and less Smokey and smell of all the grilled meats (very good smell that is). The interior is quite big but packed of tables and air ventilations that hung on the ceiling which creates quite a unique look for the place. Foods are fresh and nicely tasty. The staff will help you to set up and grill for you too. Very nice & friendly and also attentive too. Overall for the place, not bad at all. Glad I came back to enjoy the good foods and great service. Now just need to retake a shower and laundry again, so worth it.

This has always been one of my go-to KBBQ spots, but I do feel like the quality has gone down a bit over time. The service wasn't as attentive during my recent visit, likely because there were only two employees working. I also noticed some inconsistency with the meat quality. The cuts varied each time we ordered. Sometimes they were much fattier, while other times they were leaner. Because of that, the overall experience didn't feel as consistent as it used to be. That said, I would still come back occasionally whenever I'm craving KBBQ. It's convenient, close to H Mart, and still satisfies the craving when I'm in the area.

This is definitely one of the freshest kbbq experiences I've ever had. I highly recommend this place. The workers were very fast. They were a bit stern with us at the end, enforcing their 2 hour time limit (which is fair), but regardless they had excellent quality and service.

Grams is def one of the best AYCE Kbbq spot out here in OC and offer amazing variety of meat choices and side dishes! The quality of their meat has even gotten better over the years, which is a hard achievement for the restaurant that has been around for a while. Of course, their regular pricing is on the higher end, but def match the high quality of the meat. If you are craving Grams and are on a budget, please don't miss out on their lunch or happy hour late dinner deal! It is only $18.99 and the choices of meat you get to pick from are amazing! They def put some good varieties in there not just not your typical pork belly/brisket options like other spots. You get unique choices like pork tounge and beef heart, as well as big/small intestine! IT IS SUCH A GOOD DEAL!!! Their banchans are amazing too! You also get some cool side dishes with the deal like friend rice and cold noodles. Service is amazing and the staff are so attentive! Their hostess is so welcoming! If you are coming for the late happy hour deal, make sure to come early before 10 to put yourself on the waitlist. The restaurant isn't the biggest and the waitlist for the deal fills up fast. Grams has a nice ambiance with big tables and warm yellow light! Def a good place for family/friends dinner!

TLDR: It's the best priced happy hour that I've experienced. The meats may be on the pricey side if paid in full, but they were amazing if we base things on the happy hour price. I gotta say though, they really pile on the portions per plate. Brisket: It has a pretty food meat to fat ratio, and the marbling was good. They give you a respectable amount of brisket, and this can get heavy down the line. Brisket Yaki: It's their version of brisket with sweet sauce. The happy hour doesn't have bulgogi, but this'll do. Beef Belly: It's always good when you have a hard time telling the difference between brisket and beef belly. It means that the beef belly's meat to fat ratio isn't bad. For this case, the beef belly had a smaller portion, but it doesn't matter, given that it's all you can eat. Marinated Chicken: This is one of the lesser marinated chickens I've had in KBBQ. I can't seem to point a finger at it, but I just didn't like it. Garlic Pork Belly: Fatty, juicy (or crispy, based on how you cook it), and garlicy. It tastes exactly like the item reads. Garlic Rice: It's plain rice that they threw some garlic in, and heated it somewhere. It's a different vibe, but it's nothing special. Service: Very good. The staff respected the fact that the happy hour folks had an hour ish to eat, and they made sure that our tables were topped up. Ambiance: It's a classic KBBQ place. I like the vibe, and I don't mind coming back.

GRAMS BBQ @ GARDEN GROVE A little bit of a wait time, but the food and good and the price is rlly affordable for AYCE! The beer was super good to pair along w the meats and the menu was pretty extensive even at the lower tier. It's more of a casual place but great for meet ups--overall would go again!

    They have AYCE now!!

I absolutely LOVE Grams here in Garden Grove. They have really good marinaded meats here. There are different tiers you can get when coming here. I find that I'm pretty happy with the lowest tier, I'm a brisket and LA Galbi kinda girl, which they actually include in their lowest tier; having braces, I really don't like the thick or chewier cuts. Parking here is easy, also be sure to mind your time, they are very strict on the time limit.

I've always loved coming to Grams and never had an issue. However after our dinner last night with my boyfriend, we experienced stomach issues leading to unfortunate events in the restroom if you catch my drift. I did notice one of the workers filling sauces w/ the condiment squeeze bottle on many plates but used her bare finger to stop the bottle from squirting out after each plate, and that raised a red flag to me. I really love Grams and the delicious KBBQ but I am low key scared to come back lol

    Rice is old.

The Korean bbq. Worst quality meat I ever ate. Fats and veins. Rice are old and recooked. The sauce has to be asked. Music was loud and noisy. Don't come here. I paid $84.50 to this load of crap.

    Andrea L.

Great value, food, & seating arrangement. Not too expensive and you get a lot options for protein. We chose tier B for a party of 10-11 people. Parties over 10 people may need to separate into 2 tables, but the server was nice to allow us to squeeze ~5 people per side. We also like the side options including salad and side dishes. Brisket is tasty here. Even beef heart was new to me but surprisingly tasty and tasty. No big complaints. Maybe just need to refill our water more frequently. They checked in with us about ordering more and side dish refills. Place is great for gatherings. No line on a weekday dinner night. Would come again!

The servers are aunties that won't check on you after every bite but will come over the second you raise your hand. I took my mom for lunch and we dug in a little too quick - photos were snapped after we've made a small dent on the food. We got the Seolleongtang and soondae platter which was plenty to share between two people. We ended up taking half of the soondae platter home and enjoying it for breakfast the day after. For those not familiar with Seolleongtang, the soup comes out very basic. You're given a bucket of scallions, a little pot of salt, and shaker of ground pepper to season the broth as you please. I recommend adding a few spoonfuls of the radish kimchi sauce. Speaking of the banchan, Jong Ro prepares some of the freshest and most flavorful banchans on the street. I wish they offered a menu option that was just a bowl of rice and bottomless banchan. The soondae was perfectly springy, paired with a salted shrimp sauce and flavored salt dip. The platter also came with boiled (or steamed?) pork belly, pig ear, and other pork innards that were nicely cooked. I love restaurants like this because they are simply good at what they do. Nothing is over-the-top. There is always a constant stream of customers. The times I've gone have been during your typical slow hours and the place was always 60% full. I imagine the house is full during dinner time or on weekends and rightfully so. Definitely stop by if you're looking for a heartwarming and belly filling comfort meal.

Grandpa's Kitchen…read more I've been a longtime customer because their Phnom Penh-style hu tieu has always been very good. They were actually one of the first places around to serve this style of noodles, and I've enjoyed it for many years. However, over time, I feel like the quality isn't quite the same as it used to be. Maybe the prices are a little lower now, but the portions also seem noticeably smaller. I recently stopped by in the evening for some snacks. The atmosphere was open, casual, and lively, although both the service and the food seemed a little slow coming out.
