Vermicelli

I'd give a 3.5 if I could. They had a BOGO on bun rieu and it was good. The vermicelli was standard but the pork was unfortunately pretty burnt. Service was nice and food came out quick. The seating is a bit awkward, but service and food make up for it. Mom and pop vibes and they look to have a good catering menu.

Yummy Vietnamese broken rice served in this hole in the wall! We originally came for Paul's Deli, but they were closed. We looked around the plaza and there was THH, Popeyes, and LanAnh. We were very happy we chose LanAnh! We got their Com Tam with grilled pork, fried shrimp cake, and egg loaf. The dish was pretty good! The pork tasted like quality meat and didn't have too much fat. The fried shrimp cake was definitely the highlight. It was crispy and piping hot. The portion was huge, and we had leftovers. My only concern was that the grilled pork wasn't super hot so it could've just been warmed up or not as fresh. Besides that, I was overall satisfied with the dish!

Huge portions for a great price, and it's tasty also! We were on the way to the airport and needed a delicious and satisfying meal. I love Vietnamese broken rice and this spot showed up on Yelp. Best decision on this day. We all got the broken rice plate where you can choose three items for $14. It comes with a big side salad and also soup. The serving of rice was very generous. I got the pork chop and it was well marinated with nice grill marks on them. The egg cake and pork skin salad were also well made. They offer a Togo bar of various food items. Their sit in menu is pretty comprehensive in terms of Vietnamese fares. I heard the taro dessert was a must try but unfortunately they did not have it on the day I came. No big deal as I'm coming back for sure. Casual. Plenty of parking. They open early also. Please come and create your own adventure.

Why answer the phone on Easter and tell me 5PM when I ask when they close at 4:30pm that day anyway? I wanna like this place but they are so unreliable with their phone and times. Every time they closed on me in the past during business hours I end up exploring my area and finding a new great place to eat. Today it was Santa Maria BBQ in HB that was open on Easter.

I tried 3 times. The salmon is so so, but not good. The PHO is terrible, not recommend it The broken rice is okay. Bad service. They even didn't ask me the Pho reg or large.

Great authentic Vietnamese food indeed! Talk about fresh ingredient and deliciousness. Had the bun rieu, broth tasted clean, cha ca was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, mashed shrimp was really good too, fresh veggies, really enjoyed it. Mom loved her bun cha Ha Noi too, meat and fish sauce was good. She had two servings of noodles. Fresh. Banh canh is good too. Friendly service, clean. They do catering too I believe. Definitely will be back to try other dishes!

They told me they only do takeout when I tried to walk in. Five minutes later to two ladies walk in and were able to order. Not cool.

Drove 15 mins to try out their dishes. Got here at 7:26 (they close at 8) and doors were already locked for the day. Told me they only do take out. Pass. I really wanted to just sit and enjoy some authentic Vietnamese food. Update: as I'm writing this review, two customers walked in the side door, let in and sat down to order. Seriously??

My mom saw this restaurant advertised on the SBTV channel for their famous broken rice dish. I had very little expectation because anything that's been recommended through this channel that we have tried, has been a bust. Well, I was very impressed at the quality, price and portion! We will be coming back here again. Most items are $14. The standard broken rice dish comes with bbq pork, shredded pork and slice of egg loaf. You can add other items for extra charge. The bbq pork had the grilled char aroma, very flavorful, and moist. The shredded pork had more meat tendon. The egg loaf was moist not dry. This entire dish was a winner. I wanted a soup dish and got bun bo hue. I got no spice so that my mom could try but it still came out spicy. I liked it. It has so much meat! We got a pandan mung bean drink. That was too much mung bean and it was thick. Had to wait for the ice to melt to loosen up. Also got durian smoothie. That was delicious and they used real durian fruit. They have great desserts but we were too full. There's also a hot deli take out section.

Pretty cool to have a chilled bottle of water

Really happy we decided to try this place out. As you know there are at least a thousand Vietnamese restaurants in the area of Little Saigon and all of them are mostly family owned and offer their own unique twist on the Vietnamese cuisine. Apparently this is not only a restaurant but they do a lot of catering and the food on the menu I feel are northern Vietnamese cooking. Which I absolutely love (Pho is a northern dish). Anyhow nothing fancy about the inside is the food that matters and we were not disappointed. My son loved the seafood udon bowl and the broth so much he drank all of the broth. My daughter destroyed her large bowl of pho tai (rare beef). You can tell a lot about a place by what they bring out to the table in terms of the side (veggies that typically accompany the dish). They didn't skimp off the greens. A lot of the restaurants will just give you the basics (mung bean Thai basil limes) but when they bring out the culantro you know it's legit. Anyhow, prices are pretty reasonable especially in this day and age. Just feels better to support a family run business. If you're still ginger afterwards and want a snack later you can go over to the THH banh mi place across the center to bring home.

Sliders

First time here. Very nice owner. Would come by again. We had a taste of the pork Hanoi sliders and they were delicious. We also ordered a bun bo hue to go.

I have come to Ini a couple of times whenever I stop by the Orange County area, and my graduation dinner was no exception. What makes them so unique is their perfect balance between Asian flavors and Italian classics. Everything I have tasted here has been delicious and has exceeded my expectations. Something I appreciate, besides the aesthetic interior, is their unique selection of dishes ranging from innovative pizzas, creamy and original pastas, and bright, flavorful appetizers. Here are a couple of items that I want to shout out: First, the truffle honey bread. I really appreciated the crispiness of the cheese on top and the bounciness of the fluffy bread paired with the sweetness of the honey. It creates a very balanced bite that keeps you wanting more. The raw salmon appetizer was a huge hit with our table. The citrus paired very well with the salmon itself, and even though this is a common appetizer at many fusion restaurants, they really do it right. The beef carpaccio was a great fusion dish and a wonderful nod to the Asian flavors that inspired them. This is a dish I have ordered multiple times, and it always hits the spot. Out of all the pizzas, I enjoyed the mala lamb the most. It actually was not too spicy, with a nice peppery flavor. Sometimes lamb can be a bit overpowering; however, when topped with the mala honey, everything balanced out perfectly. I also want to note that I have never seen this flavor combination anywhere else, and I think it is definitely something you need to try if you are here. The short rib gnocchi was another favorite of mine. The gnocchi was fluffy and cloud-like and paired really well with the umami-rich, savory flavor of the short rib. The meat itself was very tender and pulled apart easily, making every bite delicious. There are other dishes I could mention, but I do want to shout out the scallop risotto. This one definitely surprised me, as I am not usually a big risotto eater. I appreciated the creaminess of the rice mixed with the scallop, and even though it was a cream-based dish, it did not feel heavy at all. The service was very friendly, and everything came out in a timely manner, which I especially appreciated considering we had a big group. Overall, I will always try to find a reason to come back here, as this place really does take the cake for me when it comes to Kei concept restaurants.

I feel like I have raved to multiple friends about Nep and how unique and delicious it is. Nep is located across from Mile Square Regional Park and has ample parking. Every time I have been there, it has always been busy, even with its generous indoor and outdoor seating. I also appreciate how on top of it the servers always are and how they make sure you are well taken care of. Nep is known for their Banh Mi Chao, which is kind of like Bo Ne but with an "everything but the kitchen sink" vibe. I definitely recommend first-time visitors try this dish since it is really what makes them stand out. The tenderness of the beef mixes so well with the sauce, tomatoes, and pâté, while the banh mi acts as the perfect dipping vessel that ties everything together. Besides the Banh Mi Chao, there are so many other dishes that are equally mouthwatering, such as their Crab Toast (with a generous amount of crab and a creamy mouthfeel) and their new steamed egg dish with pork floss (a salty flavor balanced with custardy egg). In my opinion, no matter what dish you decide to get, you can guarantee it will be well-seasoned. Really excited to continue being a repeat customer and trying everything under their roof.

The Pandan Old Fashioned is great if you prefer something on the stronger side. Then came dessert... and wow. The banana bread pudding and mango sticky rice were straight-up bangers. No notes. Big shoutout to Thomas as well. Despite the packed brunch rush, he stayed incredibly attentive and made sure our table was taken care of the entire time. Service like that makes the experience great. Much like this philosophy, KIN embraces continuous evolution, viewing challenges and imperfections as opportunities to refine its craft and create an even better dining experience. Kin is not your typical authentic ramen restaurant. It's shop with robust fusion of Southeast Asian flavors. They offers a variety of other options such as sashimi, yakitori and sushi which is nice to have. I ordered their spicy miso ramen. It's very umami packed, savory and the not too bad compared to other spicy miso soups I've had. You can definitely taste the porky flavor in the broth. The toppings that it came with are bamboo shoots, new sprouts and green onions. These ingredients added a second layer of brightness and freshness to contrast the heavy richness of the dish. They also provide two slices of large chashu. I wish they had torched the chashu to add a smoky and carmelized flavor. The great thing about Kin is that there's unlimited refill of ramen noodles so you can keep requesting for as much as you'd like. The service was okay when I went. She did not refill my water until I got the server's attention and did not check up on us during our meals. Food was good, service was mediocre and price point was okay.
