So we made a raise reservation to this place and really did have high hopes, it's an OK looking spot inside nothing really special so the ambience is OK. Not to be a hater. It's just nothing special. The service: the service was a bit of a mix, a girl came up to us. She was kind and the moment that she was at our table. It was nice, the part where it got difficult for me was, Juan it's a bit disorganized, most sushi spots are gonna have maybe a QR code that'll just go to their webpage and you can order from there or they will have one paper that has everything on it so that it makes everything easier for the customer. This place had three pages, with only writing on the front and it was extremely confusing plus if you finished and wanted to order again, but the other one hasn't come out then you have to wait for that one to come out. What really bothered me was we didn't necessarily order a lot but it was still taking 1520 minutes for one order of sushi to come out and we had no heads up on what was going on and it was taking a while for someone to even come and tell us what was going on. There wasn't very many people there when we first got there and yet it was still taking a long time for us to get our food. The food: the sushi was OK, I have to be very fair because I've been to plenty of sushi spots. This is the second (and last) time I'll be here. We had lunch here a couple of days ago. It was the worst sushi I've ever had. Small, thin flavorless fish. Halibut was chewy and stringy. More rice than fish on the sushi. Despite that, I couldn't get the rice to stay on the sushi. It totally fell apart. The oysters. The restaurant is tucked away in a small shopping area, so it was a little difficult to find even with GPS. We visited after the lunch rush because of the good reviews. When we arrived, most of the tables were empty, but we still had to wait about four or five minutes at the entrance. After being seated, there was more waiting to order, and then another long wait for the food. The staff were polite, but the service could definitely be better organized and more attentive. The food was good overall. The sashimi included with the course was especially fresh, delicious, and very generous. It seems like the owner puts a lot of care into preparing it every morning. Came here to celebrate a birthday and it was super delicious! We came on a weekday night and it was not crowded at all. We opted for their premium menu which includes sashimi and oysters. We got an assortment plate of salmon, yellowtail, bluefin tuna, octopus, and abolone. The sashimi was beautifully presented and very fresh as well! We also had 2 dozen raw oysters which were great. It's known locally for offering unlimited sushi and sashimi at a fixed price and is often busy during dinner hours. This was one of the first AYCE sushi spots in Orange County that is still around. I've been going here for over four years now, and I can gladly say that this is one of the best AYCE places in OC. Whenever I go there's always this sweet waitress with reddish hair that is always a pleasure to see, making the experience more worthwhile. Other than that the food is very delicious, I usually gravitate towards the nacho sashimi and Las Vegas roll, however, I notice sometimes the rice can be a little bit more mushier and sweeter as you progress in the AYCE rounds, but other than that I strongly recommend this place. read more

Came here for the wife's bday, the food came out FAST! Really good deal all around. $40 per person, two of our older kids were half so $20 each and our two little ones were free. Gratuity included automatically for parties 5 or more absolutely hate that. But service was so good would've tipped very well regardless. Sushi here was awesome for ayce. Not tippy top but definitely good enough to come back, rolls were fresh and flavorful. Sashimi was a little too thick for my liking (see pics) but still great taste. I originally had very low expectations for this restaurant but was told it was really good so I decided to try it while in town and was not disappointed! It is an all-you-can-eat style menu, and I like that the portions are small enough to get a bunch of items and share with everyone in your group. Their menu has some of the most unique and interesting sushi rolls I have seen, and everything tasted amazing. The fish was fresh and a good quality, and there was a great rice to filling ratio. I was originally worried the sushi pieces would be really small, but each piece was large and packed with a lot of fish/filling. I particularly liked the riceless rolls but honestly everything we had tasted delicious. We didn't have a bad bite here. While sometimes it can be hard to get the servers attention, the sushi came out quick. If you order a bunch at once they tend to have it all on one plate so everyone can just grab what they want. There is a lot of seating inside but I can see how it can get packed quickly, especially if a lot of people come here with groups. Three stars is generous in my opinion. My party of 9 stopped by here last Friday to celebrate a friend's birthday (his choice). The wait to get seated after providing our name and party count (everyone was present) - was about 30 minutes. Not sure why the wait - since when we entered, almost half the place was empty. A sign of things to come? Wished we had heeded it. It took almost 15 minutes for them to grab our drink order (all waters except for one diet coke). The waters came out, but the diet coke didn't. I went up to ask for it. Didn't realize until we left that we were charged twice for the Diet coke. Took another 15 minutes for them to pick up our first order. We were starting to suspect that the long wait was so we'd get full in between rounds. We made sure to increase the quantity of rolls to make up for the long wait periods in between servings. The rolls were okay - decent cuts of fish for each one. There's less rice here than other places. The volcano roll (Salmon, avocado, crabmeat) is probably my favorite. There wasn't any particular roll that was memorable for me. They all sorta tasted like they had the same base (rice, crabmeat, avocado), and different toppings. For a patron's birthday, the restaurant briefly turns down the light, and plays a happy birthday tune while the waiter brings out a slice of cake - pretty cool/on-the-spot sort of way to celebrate birthdays here. Service could've been better - we had to head up to the cashier to ask for water refills because even after asking for refills from the waitresses, we didn't get any. Since tip is automatically added for parties of 6 or more - you'd think that they didn't feel the need to work for any tips from us - which is likely why the service was lacking. Noise level was moderate - I found it amusing that BTS (the Korean boy band) was playing nonstop on their tv screens around the restaurant. Restrooms are clean. Parking is easy - I parked near the back where the entrance is, rather than deal with the hustle and bustle of the shopping center upfront. Alright, I have to first note, that this is the ONLY place I know that is AYCE Sushi that offers SASHIMI in the AYCE premium price. This was definitely a drive for me but very worth the price. Note that there is closer parking to the restaurant itself, although it is nice to take a walk after all that food. They do take reservations, so I believe this is great for birthdays or other celebrations. You can choose standard, premium or premium with AYCE Oysters. We went with that, and man there was so much food. It includes a one time order options like the Uni, Toro and even Abalone. There is even fresh wasabi on the sashimi boat they deliver. Some of my favorites were their heart attack, Toro, Abalone, Bluefin Tuna and their Spider Roll. The place is big and you can easily be able to have a 10 person long table. They have bday celebrations and they even have ice cream for dessert. I believe either the owner or the manager even gave a dessert that didn't have egg to my kid after hearing she can't have the ice cream. Overall I had a great experience and will definitely be back when I need to get my sushi and sashimi on. If you are still wondering, if you like sashimi, it is a no brainer. Their waitresses today had what I would assume is tunnel vision because I'm pretty sure they didn't mean to ignore me, it was busy for them but it wasn't like the restaurant was packed. They probably pasted by my table several times before I got any service, it actually took them 15 mins for me to get my first order in and that with me raising my hand, waving at them or holding up my order slip. There's a decent amount of seating, but I would expect this place to get pretty overwhelmed later in the day, leading to longer wait times. We opted for the premium menu option for AYCE sashimi. I can't remember the exact price per person for the premium menu, and I can't recall easily finding and pinpointing the price on the menu. I do, however, remember there being fine print that all prices are subject to change without prior notice... so keep that in mind and maybe check with them first. I was already committed to paying for premium AYCE prices regardless, so I didn't inquire. FOOD: (4/5) The fish quality was pretty nice for an AYCE place, and there was such a wide variety of items on the menu. We ordered so many things that it would be difficult to provide a detailed breakdown of everything consumed. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the salmon, bluefin tuna, and yellowtail sashimi, especially with the fresh wasabi! The nigiris we received had a great fish-to-rice ratio. All the carpaccios were pretty solid, and I don't personally eat oysters, but my brother told me they were just okay. They also had seasonal items (abalone, uni, and toro) that were limited to one order per guest. First, they no longer offer the AYCE menu to kids under 4 for free - the new policy is anyone under 4.5 ft pays half price. Our service offered our 3&6yo to do à la carte or a lower tiered AYCE to save money - since our kids do eat some sushi (like ikura, tamago, and salmon), we opt for the sushi only tier for them (course A at $18.50 kids price) and sushi and sashimi for hubby and me (course B at $44.95). The fish is fresh and overall everything on the menu. For course B, it comes with a super thin slice of toro, which is 1/4 of a normal thickness; considered its limited to 1 piece per person, we think they should either a real piece or take it off the menu. The sushi are all half the size of a regular piece, so even though each order is 2 pieces, they're really just one piece. They all have a self serve ramyeon bar and ice cream. We opted for the AYCE of course, just the regular - $45/pp. Drinks are separate but they give free ice cream, either mango or green which were sweet and creamy. Sashimi - 10/10 very happy they have uni and toro. Nigiri - always a plus when sushi rice is not a lot. Calamari was a bit tough but shrimp tempura was cooked nicely and breading was light and crispy. I usually like fresh oysters over fried but this one was not bad. No rice rolls were huge and filling.
