We absolutely love, juicy dumpling factory, not only for the delicious food and juicy pork dumpling, but their service is really quite amazing and attentive. The restaurant is on the smaller side so there can often be a little bit of a wait but it's completely worth it. I think we have tried every single dish on the menu and we have our favorites such as the beef, fried rice, string beans, dumplings. I would say it is comparable to Din Tai Fung and they have a lot of similar menu items but for less! You can ask for extra Ginger, which I always do! The dumplings here are good, but I'm here for the noodles! I came here a couple months ago with a group and got to have a taste of the golden beef noodle soup. I was thinking about it recently and had to go back to get my own bowl. I like that the spice comes from fresh chilies since it tastes clean and refreshing. My good sis and I came here after our 7 mile walk. Plenty of parking and more food options around the area as well. Place isn't as big. I wouldn't recommend going with a big group. You seat yourself and servers bring your plates, water and menus. We ordered the orange chicken (so good) dried green beans (definitely order those) pork dumplings were amazing as well and so was their cucumber salad. Food was so fresh and hot off the stove. Wow! What a delight in the South Bay. One of the few authentic dumpling restaurants in the area other than the infamous Ding Tai Fung. We ordered: XLB, pork ribs, string beans, beef noodle soup, cold cucumber salad, and beef roll. The XLB was the least tasty, though still good for the area. Everything else was 10/10 in terms of flavor. My favorite was the beef roll - by far the best one I've had in a long time. It held up SO well compared to other places that offer XLB for pickup. I ordered a second time at Cypress to hope it wasn't a fluke (and also bc it was genuinely good), and it wasn't! What this small chain does - that SO many don't do especially for takeout - is that here, they thoughtfully ensure the broth isn't super piping hot. Because of this, the wrapper remains chewy + when you bite into it, the soup is there instead of being completely wet and soaked up by the wrapper. The restaurant was extremely busy so I definitely recommend joining the waitlist ahead of time, especially if you have a larger party. The cucumber salad is similar to dtf's but slightly with slightly more vinegar and spice. It was extremely refreshing and we preferred this one because it was more flavorful. It was a bit too oily for us which is normal for dan dan noodles, but it was nicely cooked to al dente. The juicy pork dumplings and spicy wontons were both juicy and absolutely stuffed. Pan fried pork and corn dumplings were so good, super crispy skirt and nicely filled. The string beans well seasoned and great! The orange chicken wasn't bad, though the sauce was a bit too tart for my preference. The Dan Dan noodles, however, were different from what I had expected. There was little to no peanut flavor and more of szechuan style numbing spice. It didn't taste like the traditional Dan Dan dish to me. Honestly, pretty mid but gets the job done (if the job was to eat DTF on a budget). You definitely get what you pay for. Coming from the 626, I've had my fair share of xlb, beef rolls, and sesame noodles. Xlb was ok. Nice flavors but cold inside and mushy. Sesame cold noodles were packed with cucumbers, and that's all you can taste, the sauce was heavy with sesame and nothing else. Spicy pork dumpling was not spicy at all and similar to the xlb, it was mushy. We also got the potato shrimp which is served with a side of sweet chili. Not much flavor there either unless you dip it in the sweet chili (we found a dead bug in ours but that's besides the point). The best items were the garlic pork short rib and the beef rolls. I will admit that the beef rolls do need more sauce on the inside and the scallion pancake wrap on the outside also lacked flavor. Fried rice was okay. Edible, no complaints. Wouldn't expect fried rice to be too difficult to make. Ended the meal with the pineapple jelly bun (ran out of custard). There was no filling, only bread. Again, you get what you pay for. It's definitely on the cheaper side, but at the expense of quality. I wouldn't actively make my way out here to have a meal, but if I was absolutely starving and this restaurant happened to be the closest one, I may reluctantly walk in. We arrived at 4:30 on a Saturday so we avoided any lines and were seated right away. There's about 13 tables or so and by the time we left, the dining room was full. The service is very efficient so the tables turn pretty quickly. Just like DTF, you write down your order and the server takes it to the kitchen & delivers your dishes as they come out. Tip- if you want everything hot- don't order everything at the same time. We ordered 3 dishes: Spicy pork wontons, Dan Dan noodles and the kung Pao chicken. If you're watching carbs, the stir fry kung pao chicken is the way to go- no rice- just the best kung pao I've ever had. Every dish was so flavorful and the Dan Dan noodles were a flavor bomb with the perfect noodle quality. The spicy pork wonton was delicious as well and the flavor of the sauces was comparable to DTF without the high price.
