When looking for this place while driving, one can easily miss it, but it is worth finding. Don't let it's exterior fend you away. The food is very good, modestly sized and reasonably priced. It is obvious this place caters mostly to locals. Many of the staff and patrons knew each other well, so these diners must visit frequently. I'm only assuming, because out food arrived as ordered. The menu consists of American sandwiches, salads, soups and appetizers. If a restaurant offers chicken wings, I usually try them out, always ordering "hot" sauce. We had those as an appetizer and they were great. Nothing special but no disappointments. I ordered a 14" cheese steak, my wife had the Buffalo Chicken Salad. She loved the salad and despite being hungry, could not finish it. She took the rest home. My cheese steak was served on a toasted roll and included fries. I suppose I could've finished eating my fantastic sandwich, but I would have been miserably stuffed. I boxed the rest of mine as well. A delicious, and filling, cheese steak or Buffalo Chicken Salad for $10 each was a bargain. It was actually a steal considering how good they were. To top everything off, our server, Kristin, was extremely attentive and wonderful to talk to. No some task considering how busy the place was while we were there.

Didn't look like a restaurant , but the food was very good . Huge Berger's , great fries . Everything was delicious . Staff was probably my and courteous. Local patrons were nice too .

    Yum!

Save your money it's overpriced and not worth the cost. Take your family to Wendy's instead!

When the hostess asked me where I wanted to sit, I said someplace cooler. She did a great job of putting me under a ceiling fan. Kudos! My waitress was super helpful. I asked for her favorite cocktail -yes pressure- what she suggested was five stars. I may have ordered a second! The Mayfield sandwich was to have a mustard base. I did not taste that in the least. I asked for mayo which helped the sandwich. The onion rings were the best I had in a long time-yes, I ate them all. The service was great. Who I think mixed the drinks checked on me- that was nice. It was a good restaurant to stop at when in the area.

But we decided to not spend more time for finding something else and stepped in. It was very charming, surprisingly well kept,of course old,but in a good way. Menu was intriguing, modern and seasonal, which I value the most. Waiter was engaging in our menu exploration and was knowledgeable. Now to the food.. cauliflower appetizer made as General Tso was one other best cauliflower in my entire life. Lightly fried, not mushy, but with exact chicken like texture in divine sauce, kicking spicy with sweet undertones. In the same way not overpowering to forget about cauliflower itself. A+ for that dish!!! Pirogi was a little doughy on my opinion, but taste was good. Asian bowl with salmon had great flavor profile: cabbage salad was beautiful and freshly crisp, carrots were marinated perfectly with slight vinegary flavors, bok choy was unbelievably delicious. I asked for medium salmon, mine was almost well done, but taste was good and rice in the middle wasn't sticky and flavorful, but had watery texture and was bland. Overall, this is an amazing festival of flavors and technically challenging menu. Bravo!!!

They had soft country music playing and country decorations on the walls. Very pleasant atmosphere. I got a loaded baked potato and a grilled chicken salad. The baked orator was one of the best I've ever had. Cooked perfectly and had plenty of melted cheese and bacon bits on it. The salad was BIG. My Mom had fried steak dinner. It came with mashed potato's, plenty of gravy and a side salad. Nice size serving of meat and she ate the whole thing so I know she loved it. We got dessert too. All the desserts are home made. I got strawberry pie (tons of strawberries) and Mom had some sort of Angel food cake with a pineapple whipped cream sauce all over it. Yum. Our server was super nice and the service was good. She came and checked on us multiple times. Very pleasant lady.

This five-star review doesn't come because this side of the country isn't saddled with many replete restaurant choices. But because the food is cooked fresh and the wait isn't normally too long. Just think classic, American diner food, but cooked better. The last time, my roasted beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and beef gravy was so hearty and delicious, I ate it all. It can get quite busy sometimes so I would recommend reservations for larger groups. And every time I came here, I left with a box full of sugar cookies from the bakery to take back home to FL to enjoy. There's no better touch-of-home than a homemade sugar cookie with frosting.
