Our big group was invited here last February by LV locals. We didn't know anything about this…read morerestaurant other than them serving Chinese cuisine. Parking was super easy that Thursday night since they have their own lot. Plenty of seating available in that spacious dining area. We had to occupy two large tables but that wasn't a problem. The interior looked liked it needed a refurbishment. Clean? Yes. Dated? Also an affirmative. Found out that aside from the traditional Chinese food ie fried rice and chow mein, they also served dim sum in heated pushcarts. I don't recall us ordering anything from the main menu as we got occupied by the barrage of carts that were wheeled to us. Well, maybe the calamari. I remembered ordering a hot sake in which the carafe was oddly served inside a stainless pot of hot water. We ordered a bunch of small dumpling plates like the shu mai and har gow. We even got chicken feet, shrimp balls with steamed & baked buns. What was surprisingly tasty for me was the Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf. Not my first having it but I haven't had one this good for more than 20 years. No problems getting service though some of the servers felt a little overbearing. Their bussing system was A+. Our empty plates were cleared fast. Though this wasn't a top ten dim sum experience for us, it was nevertheless a nice and scrumptious dinner that ended in full happy bellies.

We walked in, some of the staff was very very nice (specifically the host) However, we felt like some push cart people sort of ignored us. The food was decent. The ambiance was good for a push cart dim sum. Casual and busy at 11 am. Overall it was a good experience probably wouldn't go back, but not because of the place but because I feel like I fulfilled that experience.

Show up later and you are waiting. The place sits on the upper level of the Shops at Crystals, looking down over Celine and Dior, so getting there is easy whether you walk the Strip or come through Aria. Back bar runs four shelves deep. Whatever you drink, they pour it. Cheryl ran the bar and made the night. She walked me through the menu and helped me land the right combination for one person eating alone, which is harder than you would think at a steakhouse built for groups. Petite filet 6oz at $61, cooked exactly to temp. The 1 lb baked potato at $16, split open with bacon, cheddar, sour cream and butter served alongside so you load your own. Plus a half order of the chopped salad, which does not show up on the menu as a half. Stuffed and satisfied without three courses of leftovers. Here is the tip worth saving: the butter cake comes in a personal size, also missing from the menu. The full version is absurd for one person. The small one lands with vanilla ice cream, strawberry drizzle and fruit, and finishing the whole thing is realistic. Manhattans came mixed right, three cherries on a pick. After what looked like a full pour, another full serving was still sitting in the mixer. Nice surprise. Wine list runs deep too, and they pour 8 to 9 ounces per glass. Music runs loud, though Vegas sets the standard there. Conversation still works at the bar. Quiet to average, no shouting required. Been running this same routine here across multiple trips, and the place delivers every time. Service adjusts to whoever is sitting in front of them rather than following a script. Go before 6, sit at the bar, order the petite filet and ask for the small butter cake. 100% returning next trip.

As we come to the end of our week in Las Vegas we decided to visit Mastro's Ocean Club. The cantilevered state of the restaurant has been described as a "Tree House." You enter and take note of the bar and lounge to your left and main dining area contained in and around the spiral sculpture framing the space. A pianistis playing and singing in the background. We arrived for an early dinner and were seated immediately by the welcoming front-of-the house-staff. Our waiter, Michael, was welcoming and engaging. The theatrics began with our order of Shrimp -Lobster Cocktail presented on a tiered platter of foggy smoke. We enjoyed this appetizer with our drinks, Sazerac and Sauvignon Blanc. Next up were our entrees, a jumbo Lobster Tail and an encrusted Halibut. Both entrees were delicious! We ended the evening with a couple desserts, a Raspberry Sorbet and a Ten Layer Chocolate Cake. Simply delicious!! Thank you Michael for your professional and attentive service.
