So we of course were going to get the slider flight. And my partner loves ribs so we had to get the rib flight. Both were good. It's two ribs per flavor - so it's 6 ribs total... three sliders though, so you'll have to share. Some of the ribs were better than others, but all were pretty tasty. The buffalo chicken slider is spicy and good. The burger slider is just OK and the pulled pork is not bad. We also had the salad flight - and while all were good, it was just too much food. Again, the concept is strong. And we weren't drinking on that day, but they have some really fun drink flights that I would definitely want to try if we come back. A very fun place to have lunch or dinner. And obviously, this would be a happy hour winner. Oh yeah, and there is a plane in the dining room/bar area. So there you go. They really committed to this bit.

We tried the other discount breakfasts and got more eggs, the potatoes had more flavor and we got an English muffin with our breakfast. As of now the cost is $7.99 plus your beverage. The service was good and not less than normal because of the discount breakfasts. The ambience is good with flight paraphernalia in the restaurant. There is a full menu available, but why pay more needlessly.

Seriously, who would've thought nachos could be that good? Every bite had the perfect amount of toppings, and somehow they stayed loaded from the first chip to the last. Our friends ordered the Fiesta Chicken Nachos and loved theirs too. They didn't quite clean their plate, but Tim and I are foodies and can throw down like that. We also shared a pitcher of margaritas, which were delicious and paired perfectly with all the food. The service was great from start to finish, and the ambiance was fun and lively without feeling overwhelming. While we were there, we saw a bachelorette party and even a wedding party celebrating, which just added to the festive Vegas vibe. I'd never even heard of Nacho Daddy before this trip, but it ended up being one of the most surprisingly enjoyable meals we had. Great food, great drinks, great service, and a fun atmosphere. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Vegas. ‍

If you're grabbing from the top of the pile the bottom chips are mostly bare. I didn't notice the dish we got had melted shredded cheese instead of a queso sauce, which I wish I had caught beforehand since some of their other options have it. Ask for queso on the side if you order these and like your nachos saucy - these ones weren't. The Daddy's burrito with carnitas was bad. Way too much rice, barely any meat, and the carnitas was dry from being cooked too long. The salsas tasted like the red and green ones you get straight from a Sysco distributor with that processed aftertaste. The fish taco was actually the best thing we had. Cool idea using paratha as the shell, lots of good layers, texture, and chew. The fish itself wasn't anything to rave about though and the salsas still lacked seasoning. Service was friendly but hard to flag someone down when we needed them. Music was way too loud to have a conversation. Honestly if I want loaded nachos next time I'd just go to Yardhouse. Cheaper and still hits.

That kind of flexibility alone already makes it stand out. This was actually my second visit, and the food did not disappoint. Everything came out flavorful, well-prepared, and satisfying in that classic diner-meets-Hollywood kind of way. It's one of those places where you don't have to overthink the menu--whatever you order just hits the spot. What we tried: High Roller Sampler L.A. Lasagna Surf & Turf Shrimp & Spaghetti Squash Citrus Kale The High Roller Sampler comes with a generous portion, making it perfect for sharing if you're dining with a group. Overall, the portions across the board are quite large, so you definitely won't leave hungry. Out of everything we ordered, the Shrimp & Spaghetti Squash stood out the most--it was easily the best dish we had. Really well-balanced and flavorful, and the one I'd personally come back for. One downside was the parking situation. Unlike some nearby hotels and restaurants that offer free validation for a few hours with a Nevada or local ID, this place still charges for parking even for locals. We ended up paying $18, which felt a bit disappointing. It would be great if they could improve this and offer a validation or complimentary parking option for local guests like other spots in the area.

Orchids is pretty much our…read morego to for traditional(ish) dim sum, standard expected items for the most part, nothing exotic and carts and wheeled trays circulate the room. We got there at opening , now there are pluses and minuses with this .... Plus, you get in before it's crowded, faster service etc. minus, sometimes the variety isn't great and it may be better as the dim sum cycle gets warmed up and more variety was/will be available. Today was a bit of a mixed bag.... A large number of carts , but not the variety we've had before. With that said, we still ate a lot and left filled with a couple items packed to go. So we got hargow, seimai char char su bao, congee, et etc. quality was good, food was hot and the price was right. We waited and waited for a couple items that showed up when we were almost ready to leave. I don't know if it's accepted here, to get up and hi jack s cart lady when you see something across the room or on the counter, but it's ok some places. They do offer a military discount which is a rarity in dim sum places. They also do an automatic 16% service charge for parties of 4 or more. I think that's a pretty good idea since many people don't tip or only tip a couple of bucks per person. I think they used to have a sign indicating the service charge, . Some people who don't look at their bill may tip the standard 20-25% when they get the slip, which is obviously good for the staff. All in all another good meal, certainly different though from palette tea lounge.

That said, when you can still get a 10oz top sirloin steak for just a little over $10 including tax, it's hard to complain too much, so I'd still give it two stars. Considering inflation and the current economy, it's obvious they've had to lower the quality of the cuts they use. Still, I honestly feel the meat used to be noticeably better before the pandemic. One thing I've always thought: ordering cheap steak medium or medium-rare is a mistake. These cuts tend to have a lot of connective tissue, so unless they cook it fairly well-done, it's just too tough and chewy to enjoy. I think top sirloin is actually one of the most difficult cuts to use for steak, because it's a cut that contains a lot of large and small connective tissue throughout the meat. With Wagyu, top sirloin can be incredibly tender, flavorful, and excellent as a steak. But the meat they're probably using here is Select grade or possibly even ungraded beef. Unless you have a very skilled butcher who really knows how to trim and break down the cut properly, I honestly don't think top sirloin of that quality works well as a steak. Do they still have that late-night / early-morning Egg and steak special? If I remember correctly, it even came with bread back then, and it was around the same price range. I'll probably try it next time. Overall, at this price point, it's something you can tolerate by telling yourself "you get what you pay for." But when a restaurant focuses on selling very cheap food, you can also feel the standards of the staff slipping, and there really isn't much in the way of service anymore. Of course, expecting high-quality food and excellent service at this price range is unrealistic, and the level of tipping generally reflects that as well. Still, it feels undeniable that the overall quality has declined in almost every aspect. Top sirloin

For starters, we were offered a bread basket that had a variety of warm breads with different textures and butter. I'm not much of a wine drinker, but I tried the Novella Moscato, its was light and refreshing. Ordered crab cakes, and was nicely plated. Between me and one of my friends, we couldn't decide between the steak and halibut, so we got both and our server offered to split the entrees between to plates so we each had our own plate. I decided to sit at the bar although the rest of the tables, especially in the 'treehouse' looked really cool. As usual, I went with my petite 6oz. filet mignon and loaded baked potato. Although I really wanted the bread basket, I held back but the diner next to me did order this, and it looked really good. As expected, dinner was great. Service by the bartender was great, as it normally is. Although I wasn't in town for this specific event, NFR was in full swing, and you could tell by the crowds here the night I went. Restrooms were out of the way, near private dining rooms upstairs accessible via elevator or stairway. This is the only place I visit in Crystals, however every time I have been here, the mall is usually dead. There are only very high-end shops here, so I wonder if that keeps people away, or they only use it as a pass through to get to somewhere else. That being said, I hope Mastro's doesn't go anywhere in case this place ever shuts down (or moves to a nice resort).
